We go explore the streets of Chattanooga Tennessee at 1AM! The real streets of the city after dark! Is it safe? Is Chattanooga a good place to live? Are gas stations safe? Chattanooga after dark! Best and worst streets? We explore!
“We’re in the suburbs” while in the a little open air drug market, in prime real estate. Those gas stations and the surrounding hotels is are literally like a drug flea market. 😂
I live in Chattanooga all my life and I'm 46. And people say that the violent crime is high here but it's like any other City don't be caught at the wrong place at the wrong time. It's got a safe places and it's got its high crime places and also like other cities if you know where to live and to shop and to get gas then you will be safe more than likely.

I was born and raised here. Never been a victim of any crime. The city isn’t very active at night unless you’re looking for drugs or gang trouble. My brother lives in east lake and I can go visit him all day and leave for highway 58 after midnight and drive through some of the worst areas with 0 issues. Not sure who posts stats for Chattanooga and I know y’all didn’t so not calling anyone a liar but I’m saying as a 45 yr resident I think some stats are inflated
Yep lived here in Chatt town most of my life.. never been robbed, mugged or assaulted once. and I've worked at night in the worst parts of town. And those stats comparing Chattanooga to Montgomery are complete utter BS.
I don't appreciate this video being someone that grew up and still lives in Chattanooga. You make it seem like there's nothing but horrible people here. Just because one street is a "bad neighborhood" doesn't mean the next is. Im 42 and have lived in all areas of Chattanooga from East lake to East ridge to Brainerd and eastdale. And not ONE TIME have I been a "victim" if a crime.
Hey Katie & Jose. As always loving the videos. Some i feel as if im riding with yall lol😆 ..I wanted to ask if possible on some videos can u show shopping plazas with BBW, Ulta, Kirklands, Five Below etc etc??..
I don't understand why people stick up for Chattanooga. Violent crime is definitely on the rise here. The amount of junkies and tweakers in the hotel areas are out of control and don't get me started on the homeless. Add that on top of all the road work that they start and seem to never finish. Good areas in Chatt are good, everything else is not. Oh and the rent is absurd. That ends my rant.
People around here have their heads so far up their asses is why. Because they love their craft beer and North Shore Limo Commie scene they think they are safe. It's not the craphole it was during the riots in the 60s but it ain't great.....
Rent is EXPENSIVE everywhere in the US, homes are expensive everywhere in the US, inflation is bad everywhere in the US, crime is bad everywhere in the US.. etc Thank you BRANDON Let's Go BRANDON
White male 34 years old, lived here entire life, been to all the worst parts of chattanooga and never once feared for my life. Its all about respect when it comes to communication, its all about minding your business when it comes to personal safety and youll be as safe as anyone in a free and open society could possibly be.
Just because you didn't fear doesn't mean you weren't in danger.....it just means you are naive. Have you walked around Patten tower at night lately? I have.
@@bmphil3400Like I said lived here my whole life, in the hood and near the hood. I'm not involved with gangs or any type of activity that might invite violence. Doesn't mean I haven't seen fucked up things happen, you can tell yourself whatever you need to and make whatever assumptions about me you want, sounds to me like you live in fear.
@@ethanswafford when I was a student at UTC in the 90s a professor was shot in the face off McCallie and crawled up the hill to Hooper Race Hall with a gunshot wound. I don't think he was in gangs or anything either. We had an office on Cherokee we owned 325 which is now Steverinos, we had a truck stolen and rammed through the back fence, two homeless tried to extort us over the recovery of the truck, homeless broke into our building and started fires, two air conditioning units were stolen, our front window was shot through, drunks fell through our windows and cut themselves badly, a druggie had a seizure and fell into our door, our boss shot at a guy trying to get into his RV (parked out back)while he was in it. When I worked metal fab on Rossville Blvd three guys tried to strong arm rob us for stainless scrap but we pulled guns on them and stopped them. My boss in that job had a guy try and carjack him and his dog was in the passenger seat and bit the guy. Yeah.....I guess I live in fear. When we were on 325 a 78 year old MAN was raped up near stringers ridge(back behind us) by a male teen....17-18 years old. A woman was raped while jogging near Finley Stadium. You must not follow the news .... The tanning bed attendant on 153 my wife where my wife tans was recently held hostage by a knife wielding woman that had previously stabbed her boyfriend.
Crimes are higher than some people suggest talking about inflated numbers. I see a lot of cop incidents going on especially at night, I drive for Uber/Lyft. Though compared to other cities as some others have said, you really got to be looking for trouble to find it, outside of my case where just driving around all over town a lot of times late at nights, I come across it more because of that.
I am from Chattanooga and have lived in a lot of places you drove through it’s really not that bad but you do need to have some street smarts about you but I love my home and miss it daily
I grew up on the north side of chattanooga, and later drove at night for uber. I was in unsafe areas more than I wanted and saw some bad stuff. However I was never a victim I did have to take some people to the ER or call police. I had some riders that scared me but over 5000 trips later I was still unharmed.
I grew up in Chattanooga ! You have bad areas anywhere you live. But yes over the years it has gotten worse in Chattanooga. But it is still a beautiful place. You just don’t need to go in certain areas like Eastlake courts is bad!!!! I mean the Orchard knob area! Brainerd Rd. Ridgedale, EastRidge, I mean I could keep going. Just be safe and watch your surrounding.
I actually have subscribers that live in some of those areas you mentioned and they are an awesome addition to the comments section of our channel! truely its everywhere and not just cities rural too
I love north of Chattanooga.......I got lost in Baltimore one night coming in from DC. Baltimore at midnight is like Escape from New York.....way way worse than Chattanooga. I've been to restaurants in Memphis that have armed guards in the parking lot. East Cleveland is pretty rough.
I worked north chatt when it was rough. In the past 30 years ,gentrification has changed the face of it. I mostlikely replaced your water main. Might have ran your power in the past 15 years.we dig on those hills alot.
Also, the police chief in Chattanooga is totally worthless. She disbanded the gang unit and she's on the verge of being dismissed because she lied about her residence, which is still listed as Atlanta.
Yeah your in the suburbs lol I literally have worked were you started at and currently work down the street from there as a security officer. You started in a very dangerous area and went to a worse area lol. I have worked all over chattanooga doing security for 17 years and the worse place is were you started the red roof next to that walfle house is a crack den and the hotel to your right as making that turn I witnessed 5 people get shoot and had a gun pointed at me. Half of the shootings don't get reported and I have seen police reports not list all the facts and the news well it's all sketchy. You started in crypt and ended in bloods area just for reference. Also it would be cool if you had a police radio on while filming the area there are great free apps that will allow you to hear what is going on around.
Well looks pretty peaceful to me. Not saying its what you are doing but if people go looking for trouble in the middle of the night then yes you have a better chance of being a victim. I wonder if that stat you mention about 1 out of 13 people become victims in Chatt is only in certain areas and times. Because I do not believe crime happens in the nice parts of town the same way as in the bad parts. So basicly these stats are flawed but that goes for all cities in the US IMO.
I used to live where the Georgia border was like 3 houses down. We heard a motorcycle running high speeds all the time pretty sure they were running drugs over the border. The house right on the Georgia side kept having people arrested there. A drunk neighbor used fireworks like hand grenades at another neighbor he was mad at. It was interesting. A homeless man slept in our back yard one night at the picnic table sitting up one night. 😞
The suburb area now have section 8 houses and projects that have been torn down and people are moving out into Ooltewah Tennessee where it is nice no gangs no cars being stolen it is a better place to raise your family
Thank you so much for this video a bit confusing though at first to many names. Can you do Helen GA next please. I need to know where it is safe and where it isn't, also the villages fl people need to know the truth about Sodom and gamore I mean The Villages. Wow thank for the knowledge of the camera. How do you now get pulled over at 2 in the morning especially being brown? You actually look like you could be my cousin. I want to go north for summer too fl is getting to hot. Where can I move to that is safe or safer for brown people. Why would you move to Alabama? Wow 5000 a month is that because they have clean water?
@@heidimichellemoenkhaus3569 Absolutely. It's interesting that it used to be the main drag in Chattanooga: Restaurants, Retail, Movie Theaters , Everybody cruised Brainerd Rd.
Ok, your driving makes me a nervous wreck. The way you suspiciously cruse that parking lot, cross all lanes to make a right turn into another parking lot, dimwittedly pull up to a sign just to back up and go around it and then crossing lanes in the middle of an intersection on Lee Hwy crossing over 153. I couldn't watch you drive like that anymore and stopped the video there. Think before you do things.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS yeah, right. It's not worse than Memphis. Memphis makes the top 5 each year with deadliest cities in America. It was a couple of times we made number 1. So, I'll take my chances in chattanooga. If you can make it in Memphis, you can make it anywhere. You just need to stay out of trouble and you'll be fine.
Folks should talk to the real law abiding citizens of Chattanooga and not depend those who don't follow the rule of law to tell them what Chattanooga is.. Cops here treat folks the way they deserve based on how they act when they are told to do something by law enforcement.
Y'all didn't even got to the really bad parts of town. I grew up in Chattanooga. My parents still live there. Just like the person before you learn where and where not to go.
There are active gang spots and places you can't go.. like the woodlawns and east lake projects... you took the wrong way and jumped on a highway and blamed the city lmao
hold up you say we aren't in the bad spot this is the suburbs and it is only the dollar store coin laundry bars and everything as a resident prior of memphis as a native nashville hard addict for a decade you are giving it a bit of sensationalism sayinng what are people doing out at night. the suburbs of chattanooga host some of the wealthiest people in the state and the boarder of them thats the note from the get im sure is gona rock ur world lol im a smartass but im being blunt you were at extended stays etc saying and we aren't even in the bad part this is the suburbs,
I'm from Chattanooga,in a video on Chattanooga. You're making fun of accents,it's hard to fully understand your accent and the woman, you can actually only understand her, like every forth word.
Fastest internet in the Country. We have Fiber Optics Why Chattanooga is called gig city and they now offer 25 gig speeds for homes. We already get 1 gig for around $70.00 a month.
Great to see these videos, we drove all over the US and decide to leave the country...it’s just not pretty, don’t like the politics either and lies told to the citizens. Keep making these and be safe!! Can’t wait to see how your FL plot of land is doing!
You talked badly about the streets and the engineers. On your trip to downtown. The GPS told you each time to BEAR right, not turn right or left to stay on East Third Street. You were so busy talking and knowing everything, you did not follow instructions. Sometime we need to listen. It is clear you do not like to listen. This was in your Chattanooga night tour.
Neither one of you are from Chattanooga, since tell you your own Lee highway and brainerd road that's not the suburbs you are in the city limit go to the hood part so don't believe them they are not from Chattanooga
I think the crime statistics are a little off here. I think 70% of the crime rates are coming from a few bad areas where the conflict pretty much stays in that area. Overall Chattanooga is really not bad at all compared to Memphis or Nashville
Yeah im from chattanooga. Your on the edge of the bad area. Your also on the main roads that are generally avoided at those hours. At the beginning of the video you turned around at the down town thug gas station. There are much better parts of town for sure. Your at the area where officer Jax was killed. Look it up.your on a tour road now that is high crime around there but they avoid main road in general. I worked at a store where the church is and was robbed at gun point several years ago. Your driving in the direction of better parts of town. Through the tunnel is some very bad areas where they shoot each other daily. Then there are the hospitals. After that you cross bridges and there are way better parts of town. The area you were in always makes my blood pressure go up. Ok you got off in the area where they shoot you lol. Yep oh no no no they do shoot. Dude Orchard knob is the chop shop drug and shoot war zone. Most of the houses there were busted into and have no telling who or what in them. Your scaring me. Thats prostitute and kill drug zone dude. Gang land. You must be crazy driving there lol. I hope you have a gun. We rented that big warehouse once and put on a big private music show with high security. Those houses your shooting there have had many dead bodies found in and around them. The people bar their Windows there. I can believe your on glass street. There are like 12 drunks at a time live under houses together there. Every yard has weapons in it in the areas you are driving in. I had to go in them while working for the power board. There are hidden alleys connecting all of that in the back. The city cracked down on litter with fines. The gangs learned to be very subtle and sneaky. They are there for sure. Anyway. There are way way better parts if town. Thats the slum areas. They cleaned it up a lot with high fines and many arrests, but they still do crime more sneaky. Nashville is Way Worse though. You are in the main hospital Erlanger in the center of down town Chattanooga. Still not in the good parts of town yet. Yep. You never went to the good areas at all. The city is mostly still at those times too except for extreme crimes in the back ground.
memphis was like this it was bad like a ghost town. you out at 130 am on a weekight in the middle of nowhere in a very small town compared to nashville memphis. did u say 3rd ward ? this isn't bad this is if you needed help youre the only call. you also say we going out and it's not the weekend. What is worse my dude, you trying to make a sleepy area not able to say asian buffet acting like this is scary clutching pearls from the get go and doing whatever you can for views b/c that isn't bad. you are also just sensationalizing and click bait for the people caught out there in the high crime aress filming them. I am native to nashville 13k sq foot mansion bullshit and i chose to go from MTSU to work and live in Tederloin Sanfracisco with 24 per 1k violent crime rate. This where you are trying to say is 3rd ward. you are cruising with your girl and trying to make some money i assume b/c normally people watch "real" streets of cities for entertainment but it does a disservice to asia buffet to pronounce it bufit. omg im 5 min in ahanha well damn if you were meta your engagement rate is through the roof . trolling you a bit lol The main thing is if you know how to handle yourself and aren't afraid with a destination set youre good. South Side Chicago and Tenderloin San Francisco are the scariest places i've lived but if you make i think it'd feel less awkward well damn i'll stop being a critic b/c im turning into troll karen
omfg your "statistics in criminal psych" major are way off this is so boring dude nothing is going on if its so scary where are the lookouts fights deals why aren't u being messed with
Brah you should came & gotten a ghetto tour guide instead of guessing where tf your going & stop blaming our city bchuz you are not from here & you make no sense boy,,,it never ceases to amaze me how a person doesn't know where tf they are going but blaming it on the city which you are only visiting tabboco boy
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS 9 month old video and you’re commenting back still 😂💀 Half of the comments on this video are from actual residents of the town saying how it’s not bad/inflated numbers. Pick your battles wisely and don’t fight the same one for almost a year 😂😂
