That is not no where NEAR the real Roswell. Yes, we have bad or run down areas but we also have some beautiful areas. You passed NMMI and our courthouse and made no comment to the history of either. There is only 1 Applebee's. Most people arent that impressed when talks about their land, cattle, or truck. It's pretty common place. Just because someone wears tall white socks doesn't mean they are in a gang. If you had pinto beans with the bbq, then you had the right type of beans. You showed maybe at best about 2% of Roswell and claim that the real Roswell. You actually drove passed my house but didn't show it because it wouldn't fit into your crappy narrative of a place you know nothing about. I'm so glad you left. Please, don't come back.
Me and my wife are leaving Roswell too.Its a ugly town. If you not fat round and brown, they will hate you and you won't even be able To live there. I hate Roswell. New Mexico as a whole really. I'm going back to the snow n ice and white people. East coast Smoky mountain
Watch ur mouth sweetheart. You might just regret it if u don’t know what I mean? Carrys a long piece or powe from Long Beach and all I haven to do is make one phone call. No worries either he or one of his associates will find ya!
I'm from Roswell, and like someone mentioned earlier, you only showed maybe 2% of Roswell, and during the early evening hours before the sun went down. If you want to actually show the real Roswell, drive through the "Big Apple", or the "Devil's Triangle". Drive through Chiuahuita after dark. And those are the so called "bad places", but don't let first impressions fool you. To show the real Roswell, go to one of those "HOODS", and get out of the vehicle and have a conversation with someone that has lived there for a while, especially an older couple, and I will bet you that before you know it, they will have invited you into their home and made you feel welcome. You wouldn't be able to leave until you have accepted the food that would have been offered to you, and to refuse the food would show disrespect. Most of the people who live in the hood has time and time again showed the most heart-felt hospitality towards me than almost all of the wealthy families that live in the nicer neighborhoods. So, basically, this is a challenge that I wish you would accept, and I would even be more than happy to be your guide, because you really can't learn about Roswell by making a route from Google.
Ya you from Roswell homie those hoods you called out are bad but they are full of hood people and yes 100% you show up in those hoods there a grill going and you will eat good as fuck homemade tortillas the tamales I would get in Roswell fucking out of this world my old man still lives down there over on Missouri st ain’t been down like there since maybe 2010 for a quick visit still got some of closest homies down there Roswell don’t play at all you out Of towners will fuck around get murdered down there quick im from Philly and was surprised at how crazy it is down there…..come on vacation leave on probation return on violation CTR
@@dabassassin7109 Hey homie, keep in touch w/ me, and next time you come down to visit, you got a place to stay. I live over on W. Gayle St., and my door is always open for you.
@@jasondyer9616 hey homie I Appreciate that that’s love right there I do need to get back down there and see what’s shaking with the homies it’s been a minute I started some of those stupid fucking videos the other day after this one and was like wtf Roswell has really changed I didn’t recognize a lot of the shit in the video I was down there like 01-05 and I learn a lot of shit down there I didn’t really have any experience with Mexicans back then and there some good ass people and there fucking insane in the same breath don’t get it twisted you can and will lose your life in Roswell I seen it happen to many times these people from the internet wanna drive around with cameras in Roswell that’s a bad move if you ask me
Did what you suggested but years ago. When nobody but me tented overnight on a rooftop of the Packard Motors Plant. Walking the city using only DDOT scheduled public services. Paying to join the Michigan Technological University Society of Industrial Archaeology and also paid to join Detroit Urban Grotto . Why? Because it is still a free country.
nM is not the worst for gangs in the state. Roswell has nothing on Albertquerque believe me. And Roswell has some beautiful, historical sights, lakes nearby, and there’s festivals nearly every weekend. It’s not perfect, but nothing is. This video and the first comment aren’t giving a true picture of my hometown.
I a I'm watching this video right now and it had to turn my phone on so I could comment I'm glad to see that these people left they drove right past me and didn't even mention it they haven't gone North of 19th Street and they said our beans are wrong it's not the real kind of beans I'm amazed these people should leave the review isn't accurate I love Roswell I grew up here and left for a while to Albuquerque and I came back there are great people, a rich culture, great art and there's so much pride history and I'm amazed that these people have glimped over the majority of the city they didn't do anything but a very short drive around and they didn't showcase it whatsoever. Before you review any City you should have to at least learned what's truly open and what is it and then history. smh and whining about the dry 91° it was I hope they've met 107 days and that's when they left, for Florida.
I lived there for three years in the eighties. There was NOTHING to do. I lived about six blocks from NMMI, so that neighborhood was very familiar. No change in forty years. It's more isolated than the UP.
I'm just speechless by the lack of true information, not educated on Roswell at all missed all the highlights and narrowed in on a section of Roswell that is just a small part of the whole of our city and even in that part there's a good part and there's great people in each and every neighborhood of Roswell. I love Roswell I don't think having a population of around 50,000 what makes a small town USA I hope these people are enjoying the wet hot humid Florida offerings and the A&W in a Ft Meyers i mall while guzzling down Van deKamps beanie weenies since our beans are wrong. He continues to exhibit his true inferiority complex to all people . His girlfriend didn't sound quite as bad and I hope she's broke up with him and moved on to somebody better she seems to deserve it.
i moved to roswell in 93 (i was 33 ) and was blown away bye the hospitality and home town feel. im from back east and dont have that.. i ended up knowing many people over the years from poor to rich and all were down to earth and if your car broke down for instance you would have many stop to help a banker rancher or cheese factory worker ! lol this guy is very confrontational at the get go.. sad i love roswell marc ... formally squeaky clean window service
@@marcinasia1731 IHello Marc, you are so right about our little town, we take care of our own. This video sucked in so many ways, The dialogue was beyond stupid , who cares about bbq? I think they made a point to go to the crappy parts of town. Alleys? Come on who has beautiful alleys. They could have not been such pinheads and driven through the historic district, the northern area of Roswell and many beautiful areas. Heck they might have seen deer or antelope if they know what they are.
I might be moving to Roswell in a couple months. I’m a little more interested in the comments tbh. Seems this video might be a little skewed? Either way, it looks like a cool town and I’m excited to be there.
It's skewed lol. There's places that are my go to's for adventures. Crystal hunting, bottomless lakes, the missile silos left behind, and more. And we're super close where traveling easily to the surrounding areas is doable for even more adventures. I hope you see the Enchantment NM has to offer.
I'm from and live in New Mexico..Albuquerque. I've never been to Roswell before so, thanks for the tour. Looks like a nice place. Have known a few cool people from there years ago.
I have lived in Roswell since '06 and we do not have a problem with gangs. There are gangs, but they are mostly kids messing around. This guy is just being melodramatic.
I survey onto Roswell through earthcam site. This is my favourite observation among other US cities. Very few people on the streets, nice weather, beautiful dawns and sunsets. Beautiful sky of nm.
Place is ate up with homeless people talking to their selves, needles everywhere, even on playgrounds. It never storms and is always windy. And New Mexicans in Roswell are clannish and rude to everyone else not from this crap hole. If you think there's few on the street, you haven't paid attention. I'm glad my wife and I are leaving and going back to the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee. Screw this rat infested dying town. And 105 in May isn't nice at all. But they think it's nice cause they've never experienced anywhere else.
I have relatives in Roswell and I love visiting there, something I’ve been doing since I was a kid, long before the story of the UFO crash became a worldwide phenomenon. I’ve lived in NYC all of my life, so going to Roswell is indeed very relaxing. It’s a beautiful area, and the weather is incredible. I love the hot dry summers, it’s so much better than the horrific humidity and gross air pollution in NYC.
Only two drawbacks as far as I can see of is useless for the most part. My mother in law was murdered in1990 wand they never even arrested the Evil SOB 😭 (no witnesses or dna So they know he’s guilty but he’ll walk Judi not right…….
I don’t think u were here in the summer when it’s normal to have Tempe of more than 220 for days on rnd. Maybe if I could handle Death Valley like heat it would not be so hard for me but I had a brain tumor that w not cancerous thank Gobuf it left me with sepzures the heat is a seizure trigger to me so I can’t even be outside when weather led so miser… I know lm supposed to be defending my hometown. Just telling the truth unfortunately Peqce out!
Another thing I detest is all this ridiculous bs about those damn nonexistent aliens it’s so stupid but it’s made a ton of money for the city . That’s why the city big shots invented the stupid story in the first place. The 50th anniversary of “ the crazy uncrwdh was coming up so that was the iron that broke it the great Festival was born The virgin year was profitable until it that grewv
I just got back from New Mexico and I am thinking of moving there this winter if I can get through the snow states, I loved Roswell and Las Cruces and T or C and I want to go back to Smoky the Bear mountain or camp grounds. 😉
I kept waiting to see if you were going to drive through some other main residential areas in Roswell, but it looks like you guys just stayed in the run down areas in a small section of the town. I wouldn't call that the hood though, but there were definitely a lot of run down homes, but that is like a small percent of what Roswell neighborhoods actually look like. I'm glad the BBQ y'all had was good, but it sounded like a Mexican restaurant that you went to, one I've never even heard of and that's def not where I would go to get good BBQ. If you ever come back, ask some locals about where to get good BBQ, there are some great places for that, even BBQ food trucks that are top notch. Also, there is only one Applebees, maybe you just drove by it twice and didn't recognize the area you were in. Roswell has a lot of beautiful neighborhoods that look nothing like the ones you drove through, and most of Roswell definitely doesn't look like that lol. Every town has it's old or rough areas, but that just doesn't depict a whole town. You said yall liked ABQ, which is far more "hood" in my opinion, and unsafe, but they have their nice areas as well. If you only stayed in a small section of ABQ like you did Roswell, you would prob have the same opinion of ABQ as well, because there are A LOT of bad areas there.
just wondering how do you know the people walking are in a gang im sorry but you done the one thing that noone should never ever do and thats to judge a book by its cover......yes i know certian gangs all dress the same way and or wear colors for them to be identified for being in a certian gang like Bloods are red and Crips are blue but even then i wear red and i match my shoes to my shirt i wear and i am not in a gang nore do i falsely claim to be in a gang but just saying you cant judge someone by what they wear and if you ask they may or may not be lieing only way to be sureis if your in that gang and you know them
St. Louis isn't in the South it's the Midwest, even though the metro is partially surrounded by culturally upper south/"greater Appalachian" a well as Midwestern areas. Like with Cincinnati which is also a cultural border city, the St Louis metro itself, city and suburbs, is firmly Midwestern with a degree of Southern influence.
hey thanks for the real walk thru of roswell. im related to robert goddard and plan to come make art at a roswell residency! maybe i will try the bbq 🎉
Yeah, Cali & Las Vegas isn't all that matter of fact it's a lot of homeless people over there living in tents on the streets around the downtown areas.
Been there , not much to do , the heat in nm is nothing like miami, some areas yes like el paso but rosewell silver city, las cruses , deming, its not that hot, rent is cheap but not alot of jobs, and they have ali ways and lots of dirt and dirt roads , no grass because u cant use alot of water , u get fine for using to much water , you wont see people washing their cars or watering their grass out side, or walking their dogs or working out "naked in sports bras or no shirt" like in miami ....and they dont have those green and blue trash cans miami has.
So dissappointed. Yes we have some "hood", we also have some great historic neighborhoods, some new tracts and a range of established middle class neighborhoods. You clearly went looking for ugly and you found it. I really could have done without the rant about respect. Moved here in 2023 from SoCal, love this place.
Where are the aliens museum, I'm fascinated with the city although I have seen it on movies or like on my favorite show Roswell of 1999. I live so far from there but I don't run out the possibility someday I'll go there. Greetings who read this message from Nicaraguan ❤❤❤
He says the streets of Roswell.. starts the video in a bunch of alleys and streets in the SAME neighborhood.😂 He went on a Thursday? Ain't shit goin on til the weekend anyway.
Beg to differ. I've walked alone from 8 Mile to the Detroit River on my first vacation visit there. Sleeping on factory rooftops including the disused Packard Motors Plant. You people need to get out of Roswell to see serious lawlessness and poverty. Another Detroit thang I could do in Roswell is BUILDERING. That's the climb of any man-made structure, be it art or what ain't locked away when nobody is around.
@@jcee2259 dude WTH are you even talking about? I commented on how he started the vid. IDGAF about what you've done and I guarantee nobody in Roswell gives a shit what's going on in Detroit.
some of the better in bbq in tennessee hwy 52 bbq in moss (nashville style)and the Bojangles in crossville the Bojangles is a mostly charcoal tasting bbq and it only a local thing not at other Bojangles. I crave the bojanges bbq.
This guy you want real you gotta actually spend time in the town. Get to know the people. Hope this isnt his income lol there’s an art museum there that only displays stuff done by RESIDENTS. I gotta say it ain’t about ET either. I kinda wish I wouldn’t have even watched this There’s like three Albertsons
im glad yall did this guy seems like he judges people and places by what he sees i mean hell look how he talked dow that eighborhood saying its a gang hood or judging them guys or gals walking saying they was in a gang just by what they wearing
That wasn't the real Roswell not even close.mabe you should of done your research first before you come trying to clown on are town you done a horrible job.and yah the people are right the best part about this video is seeing you leave are town
Looks like a neat town! Btw there was significant numbers of Texans among the settlers of southern and eastern NM so it's a decidedly Southern influenced Southwestern culture.
You must have been at Scotty’s Pit BBQ. Awesome l grew up fete before it was taken over by those non existent aliens. This was a nice normal little town, effect for a teen in the 70s Fell completely apart in a matter of days n jm not the only one who feels like this eiher
I live in Roswell, and there’s really nothing to do here 😩 There’s no entertainment for kids no where to shop it’s so basic I’m looking forward to moving soon
The City of Blaine, WA, is steps away from Canada. You'd see lots of Canadians every day coming south to shop. There's a big park where people of 2 nations mingle amid flower gardens, tables, etc. Has a nice view of the sea. You'll ride scherduled bus service to all county urban centers if shopping or sight- seeing. A nearby resort is hiring people for various jobs and so are urban fast food services. Google the area. Yes, the bus out of Roswell comes steps away from a County bus stop.
I lived and worked as a mason in Roswell for a couple years I don't remember too much gang activity if any and like every place it has its bad spots not a whole hell of a lot to do only nice thing is the weather
People think it is in the state of Nevada. New Mexico has had alternate facilities. No, not near Roswell. It is a US Military Reservation. As done in Nevada.
@@janetgraves9798 There are a few areas where depending on the time of day, it's not safe, but for the most part it is. Show me a city that doesn't have some bad or rundown areas.
@@billiedewey9897 Exactly. I live here. Every place has bad sides of town. I can't wait until he shows the good parts of Roswell, because we have The New Mexico Military Institue here, and quite a bit of History .
