I am not a christian nor i affiliate myself with any religion but to outright reject the idea of a higher conscious is totally wrong. e.g., the only logical explanation for an all powerful god is possible if we take it someone as huge as the entire universe (or in other words that encompasses the entire universe) and we all are part of that being, therefore, this 'being' resides in all of creation but here comes the catch...... if it is true then, at the same time we can not ignore the fact there do exist aliens as well (or if not to use the 'word' alien, creation that lives in other parts of this massive universe). this makes the total number of creations by this 'being/god' in zillions and zillions and even more. but......if that is the case then the concept of evil and good makes no sense. the concept of heaven and earth makes no sense and the concept of 'expelling mankind from heaven' makes no sense at all. and as you can see, there is a whole bunch of counter arguments you can give to every story mentioned in the worldly religions......like i said, there is a whole lot more to the truth then meets the eye.

Most religious people I know say they believe in religion because how else could the earth and everyone be created, which is a fallacy. My mom even one day said that she was always so confused about how nothing existed before God and then God made everything, but she didn't understand where God came from. It is very important for anyone of any religion to deconstruct their faith and look at it from other viewpoints. For the past 4 years, I have been deconstructing. It is hard though because I am 18, and still live with my very religious parents who make me watch very religious media. I feel like looking at any religious text, you will see huge similarities in all of them because, although they are most likely not real, they all came from somewhere. Most religious texts, as said in this video, have a virgin birth and a human/god savior such as Jesus. Another big one is most religious texts have flood stories. I feel like most Christians do not even look far enough into Christianity because they are scared of losing their faith. Sorry for the long reply, I could type even more because this is a big passion of mine.

I'm really glad you are willing to be open and honest with yourself in what you believe. It can be a scary thing to deconstruct your beliefs. I grew up Mormon, and was taught so many things that took years to deconstruct. I'm grateful that I have a supportive partner, as it was extremely difficult for me to open up my mind to the possibility that what I knew, the things my parents taught me were not correct. Im so grateful I opened up my mind and heart to this truth. I wish you much success as you continue on your journey of enlightenment. You made some great statements. I too have come to the realization that religion has done more harm than good and can therefore not have been from God.

I think you are missing the point, in the Bible there is lots of konwledge and wisdom that as far as we know was in no way available to the ancient humans of that time.
