I think the legal reason they don't do military gear is the ATF in this country says "once a machine gun, always a machine gun" which is absolutely dumb if it gets here without automatic capability, but that's a thing in some regard i know. I bet a lot of it is still in use/not for sale. The uniforms i bet would be easier.

@@rkhale02 All they have to do is cut the receiver in 3 places and its no longer a machine gun. Then you sell it as a kit with a new exact same receiver here in the US. Or just as a parts kit exactly like how i got my M70AB2 and my M76.

M72 is my favorite Zastava weapon,its great techicaly i mean built,so relible,sturdy but its so accurate, boys on front line and in 4 wars in 8,9 yrs lol loved it and even used it as what you call DMR so basicly sniper rifle for not far targets, up to 400 meters,it had several different features as all Zastava have but its not cosmethic changes they actually improve the gun itself, M72 and M92 are my favs Edit: One of the great features are cooling fins to help with heat dissipation from prolonged fire. The M72 only appears with a heavy profile barrel as opposed to Russian and Romanian RPK rifles that can come in both light or heavy barrel configurations.

I'm about to install a dong on my M70 just gotta get it stained and what not, doing it a plum color to match my plum magpul handgrip. I just installed the magpul zhukov folding stock but not gonna lie ive always wanted an underfolder. Just wish someone would make a modern 5.45 underfolder, I feel like the lesser recoil would make the metal stock feel less shitty when shooting lmao

@@jonmeray713 easier to use the gun when folded imo. Underfolder once folded is completely out of the way my side folding zhukov stock is designed to be used while folded or fixed but when its folded its a pain in the dick to rack it and the stock touches my trigger hand when trying to fire. Underfunded has none of these issues. However the fixed stock is less effective than a fixed side folder.

Ja sam je dužio krajem devedesetih i još uvek pamtim broj -515656. A ovo sa drnčom je znači kraj. Baš sam se nasmejao. Uzdravlje.

@@TheGamedog77 Nazalost nisam duzio niti koristio nista od Zastave al samo koristio Madjarsku i Bugarsku verziju. Sto se tice metalnog i plasticnog kundaka ne mogu ni na prstima da izbrojim koliko sam puta pozeleo da drzim M70AB1(mislim da je to pravi naziv za originalnu verziju sa drvenim kundakom) mesto navedenih. Kundak koji se razlabavi vremenom vise nije kundak nego je smetalo. Jedini minus za AB1 je sto kao sto Vickers Tactical navodi, cev nije hromirana iznutra i samim tim je uzas za odrzavanje pogotovu u vlaznim uslovima. Inace na baz iskustva M72 verujem da je jedan od najpreciznijih i najpogodnijih za rukovanje kako u pojedinacnoj tako i u rafalnoj paljbi iz AK familije sto se tice tog vremena proizvodnje. Verujem da su ljudi iz Zastave sposobni i zeljni da naprave AK verzije koje idu ruka uz ruku sa Ruskim verzijama medjutim komercijalni uslovi prosto to ne dozvoljavaju trenutno. Prosto da se zacudi covek da je svojevremeno nasa AK verzija bila ako ne ista po kvalitetu nego mozda i bolja od Ruskog originala uprkos ocekivanju sankcija pri kraju drugog milenijuma.

A while ago on Reddit the official Zastava account replied to a comment similar to yours basically saying it will never happen due to the Serbian military replacing the M76 and 8mm not being a common enough cartridge

Assault weapons of Ohio makes an M76 in .3006 and 8mm.

@@Beltfedshooters as an owner of an AWO M-76 that is correct. You could only shoot commercial FMJ in them.

I have one and it runs fine. I got a bullet guide from Reddit that helps. I did that parts kit build myself but sourced it from AWO

I can't help wonder what would be better. A wsar 10 folder or this zpap. 🤔. I'm interested in a folder & trying to figure that out but unfortunately my experience with ak's are limited. I'm very aware of parts, field stripping, trunnion & rivet integrity, barrel types etc etc just not privy to what has a better reputation vs the other.

@@nova68cutie 100% the Serbian M70 Z pap under-folder. thicker receiver and nicer wood, but if you look to change hand-guards on the rifle then M70 hand-guards will be a bit more expensive. I do prefer regular AK hand-guards though, find Serbian AK hand-guards to be a tad ugly. I would feel better beating on a Wasr-10 though if you intend on putting some wear on it and not having it in a safe.

I'm somewhat new to the ak scene but i must say there's just something about the way it is that speaks to me more so than ak's that are outfitted with a bunch of modern taticool sh@t. Then again idk. Perhaps I'm missing out. Then again if i want taticool i can just tinker with ar's i suppose.

Now I'm not saying this to sound like a dick, but why not just get a regular Ak from a different manufacturer? Isn't the entire appeal of Zastava the quirky Serbian uniqueness?

@@fiskersproductions No, not at all for me, the thing that makes Zastava a really good AK manufacturer is their quality, bulged RPK front trunnion,and cost, their uniqueness for furniture is bad for consumers, since you then have to seek out specific Serb AK hand guard parts. I only have a limited amount of spending money, so I would want to buy the best rifle for the cost that allows me to actually want to use it. A good comparison is Chinese AK’s they are somewhat unique, but they costed $200-350 in the 90s, for that price I wouldn’t give a crap since 80s/90s Chinese AK’s were reliable and cheap, which forced all companies to fight price wise. For 1k I want a great ak, and I could get a wasr for less that is close or better in reliability and compatibility.

@@fiskersproductions maybe, but the surface quality of any M70 I have owned is better than any KUSA AK103 clone or WASR. I really like the blued finish of the M70s to be frank. That's why I would want one with regular AK furniture.

You can sort of scuff it a bit more modern with options from magpul and Midwest industries stuff
