Had mk1 brought the mk11 Krypt, the race modes, test your luck, and new game modes mk1 had been so much better

From what I’m seeing not just from this but overall community comments, mk struggles most with: -more interesting game modes -more stability server wise -better balance among the top tiers (including kameos) -invasions needs to be sped up cause it’s a massive slog -more character customization and better ways to reach mastery -low key need to check em on micro transactions

As much as i love this game, i can feel myself getting bored and drifting from it, i tried tekken 8 recently and its probably the most fun ive had in a fighting game in a long time

The issue with invasions for me is that compared to towers, there's double the number of loading screens. Towers just load from fight to fight, but with invasions you have to go out and then back in every time. The map is really cool but after 8 loading screens to play 4 fights (which admittedly im d2 spamming because i dont care to fight AI) im just bored.

The difference between invasions and towers is in towers u knew what rewards you could get from playing

Has anyone been experiencing this issue when the sound from the game would just go out randomly? I have even having that problem every now and then

Walking around in invasions looking for a fricking blood key to get past a gate is legit torture

It needs mercies, friendship, customizations, krypt, redoing of invasions, better towers, xp buff

The only problem with mk1 in my opinion is there is people who shouldnt be in higher ranks. They literally spam sarrena and run from you.

My only gripe is the amount of "RU-vid warriors" online, u can just see the copy and paste from the combos and it gets boring. On the off chance i encounter someone that does a combo that's really creative regardless of it being optimal or if I win, it's always refreshing to see but still too rare

The topping around 4:18 I think it’s amazing it’s difficult, I don’t know how to use cameos and I play without them, so it’s possible to play not needing to learn, I can still do 30% without it and play fundies for mix-ups and such

yeah I can totally agree for offline leveling. when the game came out i had no internet and put in about 10 hours for absolutely no reason lol. im hoping the game will be better than MK9 later on. love watching your vids Waz

I wish they add 1v1 mod so you choose what you wanna play 2v2 or1v1

I primarily like to play online however I do like to play offline sometimes to take a break from playing online and in MK1, there's just very little to do offline at the moment

For me with the desyncs happening at first, before that my game was completely crashing so I was begging for desyncs instead of my game just flat out crashing but I shouldn't have even been in that position at all it was torture.

Cant wait to see how bad crossplay will be, probably will push out whats left of the community just like that amazing connection filter we got. Wow Peacemaker is coming thats not a Mk character that will definitely bring the franchise fans back just like the Omni man is bringing them in right now?

I think mercy options will be absolutely sickkkk! One of my fav features from MK11, especially when I have local friends over we’d just keep giving each others mercies.

I think crushing blows are underrated asf its such a cool and fun mechanic

I understand there's a lot of "combo potential" however from a viewer standpoint we see the same combo over and over for every char specially if its the same kameo and know what to expect based on the string and such

i absolutely love cameos, it adds so much combo potential. the combos look absolutely amazing. i have over 150 hours and i’m still finding combos i’ve never seen. i just wish there was more customization.

As someone who was an avid player throughout mk11's lifespan It's hella frustrating to see the community ask and beg for the same features they crucified in mk11 It makes me feel, or rather reassure me that the community in large doesn't know what it wants, it just acknowledges and hyper focuses on what isn't there. The community in large can't be trusted to know what's good for the game.

Mk1 is a huge upgrade from Mk11 ! The menus and overall atmosphere of the game are WAYY better, The story was AMAZING and made me laugh lots, the brutality and fatalities improved, the gameplay itself is perfect, kameos added seasoning and fun, mastery’s are better, Invasions is cool, people don’t appreciate the work they’ve put in. I have 52 hours on Mk11 for the years it’s been out and 266 on Mk1 for the couple months it’s been out. 😅 Mk1 got me back into console gaming! 🙏🏻🔥 My only complaint are the Kombat League rewards, I think higher league skins should be more unique and noticeable.

I'm still going through character crisis, the fact that they took my only 3 characters I played with and made them cameos really killed me so now I have to hope Ermac is on my level. Only one I really play with is Kenshi.

My main issue with the game is every fighting scenario the person will either be safe because of thier kameo or u halfto poke them the fact I can’t get a combo after someone uses a full string like Jhonny the only thing I can do is poke

They should add more moves and a new mastery to unlock more bruts and fatalities with each character

They need to have a mode for classic game play💯

couldn't agree more with buffing the kameos. One of the first things I noticed with kameos was how much better some of the characters could have been had their moves been "ambush moves" instead of whatever the hell the other ones are called.

do u recommend me buying mk1 and omni man dlc to play with omni man? i never played fighting games except tekken’s demo and i enjoyed it, however 48€ seems a little expensive for me, do u think is worth to play with omni man?

They could add a few old school mk games as mini games, like mk 1 and mk2 towers or something like that, also the ability to practice in between match making would be dope

I want better intros that are interactive like in (mk11). The same thing with outros, I loved the intro and outros in mk11 especially when they interact with each other. Customization needs to be expanded on big time! Gameplay is great and fun though

We need Stage fatalities back

I forgot to add this about solo play, people who want to play this game outside of ranked want something crazy like Test Your Luck where you get random mods and conditions, a Test Your Might contest between other players, or even a new arcade/classic tower that's centered around a specific character's goal like Shang Tsung fighting every good guy for example.

im surprised no one’s talked about the matchmaking if ur like rank 50 and below less chances to match with anyone and if u do end up matching up with someone its someone who u matchmake with all the time

Not many people know there is daily, weekly towers. Shouldn't have to go into invasions to do so though, and I'd prefer that you didn't need to level up each season just to approach the towers.

2v2, no kameo mode, uhhh maybe even bring back a high character number and custom character creator, since in the end game of story mode you see multi versions of these characters

13:15 The rollout is a lot better this way imo, there's 5 Kameos and 6 playable characters so this way is best. It keeps updates more fresh

With the customization theme I think it has it, you just have to implement it, we already saw it in the story mode, if it doesn't let you combine the clothes like that I think they would make me very happy

one of my biggest gripes with the game in it's current state is the lack of diversity for offline gamemodes. Sure, we still sort of have rotating towers, test your might, and fight modifiers. But I'd like to see test your sight and fight conditions. Fight conditions as in "you aren't allowed to use this" sort of missions. Just something to switch up the gameplay a bit

I miss custom Intros & Outros for the characters... I also really wish they bring back Tag Team Mode to this game, could you imagine!!! For the majority of casual players Tag Team would be so good to bring back, some great memories having local couch sessions with friends on MK9 with this mode. Also could you imagine the combo creativity with tag team? Yikes..

They could easily make invasions a mini conquest mode with interactable NPCs, side quest, puzzles. Give us more skins, FOR FREE, and more customisation and I’m good

I kind of wish the distance between the release of these DLC characters weren’t so big. Like they should have the Kameos comes out closer to the characters release, & that they at least released not that far. Like we had to wait 2 months for the next character, & they don’t give us much character outfits. We have to wait til the beginning of a season to get them. And there should be a way to get the Krystal’s without buying them or character mastery

When you get to god level in KL, you have to play with the same 5 dudes everytime. Specially cause I play in PC

they should make towers dedicated to test your might and test your luck like in mkx, i am sure they will add more customizations but am fine with the skins atm, surely the cross play will bring the game hype up and a tag team would be nice and if the rumors are true and the game will Have 4 kps it would be an amazing game for most of the fanbase for sure

Honestly what baffles me about the store is the differences in price between characters and skins. Classic costumes and others are $10 but new fully functioning characters with just as many palettes + brutalities etc are $8 and kameos are $5?? Those are great prices for characters and kameos and then all of a sudden a skin is $10 alone? What?? Skin packs should be the same price as kameos or just drop the dragon crystal cost to 600 like the titan skins.

Invasions is alright, its neat practice for your favorite characters + level up your account and character and kameos. Gameplay is a lot more smoother, and I love the voice acting, definitely got upped a lot by a bunch since mk11, and animations.

I think mk1 is a more fun game but mk11 had just a little more to do. Like something i always enjoyed doing in mk11 was learning a characters bnb’s and then messing around with them a little more in their tower of time to unlock different skins and gear while getting more comfortable, and once I got comfortable with them i’d take them online, and eventually divide my playtime to “well if I want more skins or a specific gear thats in the tower of time i do that, or if i wanna just do normal towers cuz why not, or the towers that unlocked gear for other people but use the new person im using, or just play online.” With mk1 it’s like I learn a character and some bnb’s and get kinda acquainted in invasions, but invasions has so much in between time that its kinda boring, and the rounds arent accurate to actual fights, but it’d be almost the same as doing normal towers so i might as well stick to invasions, or just flat out try my best to get used to my character online. It’s like sure I get rewarded for playing a character a lot through the mastery system, but that’s it. I dont feel proactive in what i’m earning, it just feels like a “well if you play this game long enough, eventually you’ll get there” where as with the towers of time I had a mindset going into it. Sorry for the long comment btw lol

As a person who lives for the MK story, I can confirm that this is the 2nd best MK story, completely satisfying and doesn't need a follow up, even after that post credits scene. The first best story is and will always be MK9 because nothing can ever match that nostalgia. Gameplay, completely agree. I love Tekken because it's so user friendly but MK and Street Fighter and DBZ and UFC are all about adapting and this Kameo system makes Gameplay possibilities that much more crazy, especially when every character has their own meta. Love MK1

I think there should be a mode where 2 players can fight against 1 player and these 2 players can swap with each other in mid fight like how it was in one of the towers in MK11. I especially want this mode for top tier players because they're already too good to 1v1, so at least we get to have 2 people but like no kameos maybe so it would be more fair but still we would have 2000 HP in total. I think that would be a very sick gamemode in my opinion!

There's so much I need to unlock on MK11, I seen no need to start with MK1 I just bought it for the story. I'll be back to MK1 in a couple of years on the game is finished

You said the mechanic wasn't suited for classic 1v1 and that's the thing I hate you notice lots of charecters has a boring combo moveset when I saw first trailer and we saw sub zero's combo list it was so underwhelming

Man nobody talks about Test Your Sight! This was such a fun game mode in MK9 😭 also this racing game mode was fun too.. these little whacky things just add to the wholesomeness of the game

Started playing MK9 in 8th grade along with my friend Bugzy. We ended up in a KOTH one time with a pothead Canadian dude "YNZOW"/Wozny. He was very good at smoke and taught us how to play the game. We played together every day with Woz and lobbys just had so much life. I remeber getting into a lobby with MKF30 and Perfect Legend, names you don't hear too much anymore and got our asses kicked. I was just stoked to be in the same lobby as these ppl. We played on Xbox and in KOTH lobbies it was your xbox avatar in a theatre and you could throw shit at the screen while ppl were going at it. When you gave respect your avatar held up the number like a ring girl lol. All that said I havnt seen anyone really complaining about the fact you cant even invite your own friends to a public non ranked KOTH lobby in MK1. Not to mention no rooms? This is stuff they have already done before back in 2010. Its so frusterating wanting to go into a KOTH with Bugzy now days at 25 years old and we cant even invite eachother we have to just flip the lobby coin and both land on heads. (maybe this is only a steam thing i could be wrong but as of right now yes i can not inv my friend to a lobby unless private). i thought this was going to be the best one since 9, i mean shit man i picked up the game noticed that i could just DASH again and it wasnt useless? Shit was like home. X atleast kept my attention especially with bo rai cho.I didn't play 11 because i did not like crushing blows and independent defense bar. I have core memories with the game and it just feels kind of lifeless and unfinished right now. I really do think MK is a crazy good place to make online friends that LAST and if you dont add simple stuff like inviting people you are slowly ripping all that shit away.

I hope that after Sf6 and Tekken 8 being big hits, Nrs tries to not only make their next game on par with 2023 standards and beyond

11:56 what’s good @waz I recently purchased mk1 and was unaware of “mashing on FB to get more damage.” Are you talking about hitting an opponent while they’re mashing on you to get more damage, or are you pressing random buttons while the FB animation is going on to get more damage? Never knew this was a thing

I just knew I was gonna hate the Kameo system but it actually adds more creativity to the gameplay, playing your main with different Kameo's makes it feel like a whole different person

I will also miss customizing your character's loadout name

My biggest issue with MK1 is the controls I hate how block/amplify are the same button and you can’t change it id prefer the MK11 style of controls where RB was amplify and for MK1 I would prefer to use LB + a directional button for cameos

Mkx ota all latest 3 was the best and personally imo the colour palette made it look so dark… like gears of war 1 compared to the rest, for those that never played it , it was the horror style graphics, pale not over colourful. That made the games feel the way they sposed to be portryed

I would like to add my idea . Most mk players play only one kameo to character. It will be awesome if player have to take 2 cameo’s( for two rounds/games) in online game. I know there is already possibility to change cameo’s if you lost first game but I would like to have 2 mandatory cameo’s

The unfortunate thing is that if between now and 6 months in the future MK doesn't do anything at all to revive the hype for the game then it won't matter if the changes they make turn it into the best video game of all time because everyone will have already written off the game and moved on to other stuff, which it sounds like is already happening

The whole lack of content issue is something MKTomBrady has addressed and makes a good point as to the solution for. Itd be nice if instead of of hard reset each new game if NRS kept more of the moves & abilities to include brutalities from previous games and just added onto them and improved them [animations and frame data] to build some legacy in MK and ensure there is a always a minimum content baseline that is met just from what existed before. It would also mean less work for the dev team so we can get a lot more new stuff. I hear this is what SF and Tekken do

And taking stuff like the (krypt) out is like taking a lot of that creative soul the devs have. It’s a lot of little secret Easter eggs

They should add a multiplayer mode where players can bet there coins on the match to double their money which would also increase the stakes, it could also be a way to earn dragon crystals for free
