100% get them to change the flooring! It isn’t your fault and you shouldn’t have issues with the underfloor heating not being as warm due to their error. Get them to sort it. New builds are always delayed, it’s so frustrating but at least you know now and can plan. X

Buying / moving is one of the most stressful experiences, but it really does come together in the end 😘 You are handling everything so well though and with so much grace, Kate, keep it up 👍🏻

But your vlogs always, and oddly enough - you, keep me going and very determined to not give up. Our apartment was delayed by months due to covid back in 2020 and we didn’t move in until 2021. I think we waited 13 months for our new build apartment! It’s the worst stress but worth it once you are in xx

Went through all this myself!! Bought my first apartment in October 2021, and didn’t move in till July 2022 due to constant delays!! It WILL be worth it in the end xx

Delays are such a pain with new builds, I bought a flat and was told March 22 move in but we didn’t end up moving in until the end of July ! It’s really frustrating but once you move in you’ll forget about all the delays 💖

Honestly I feel your pain! We expected our house to be ready in July, the developers told us late July that the house wouldn’t be ready until next year! It’s horrible feeling so unsettled and not knowing where you’re gonna be, I hope you get moved in soon ❤️❤️

Loved this💗 You can install the new flooring over top but *First, make sure doing so won't create problems with height differences at areas such as transitions with other rooms and stairs.😘

I’ve been seeing it everywhere on how expensive it is to move and stay in London, just ridiculous for so many people. However it’s normal to miss details when you’ve been so busy so don’t put yourself down at all we all make mistakes and plus what a big and snap decision you had to make with the flooring, your doing great lovely! I’m so glad to see you back on here, miss you 🥰 the “don’t beep at me” was adorable and the “smells like a really sexy man” is hilarious 😂 . Love the bottles so hotel aesthetic love it! Oh my gosh chilli honey porridge 😳 at least the car park is some good news but I had the same problem and decided that as finance agreement is closing in, the parking fee will be elevated soon enough. Found that it wasn’t worth it the cost, it’s climbing fees which is ridiculous cause at the end of it, its almost worth buying a house outside of London of course! Can’t believe we’re on the journey together - love this, learning so much from yours too 🤍 can’t wait to see the moving vlog as I was here from the initial moving vlog of this apartment. Been a day oner as you know! Thanks so much for updating us and filming this Kate - missed your vlogs 💙

If the builders made the mistake 100% get them to lift the floor and put the new one down. You won’t get the same output fro the underfloor heating if you don’t x

I'm so glad the whole moving situation settled down for the moment, this way you'll be able to have some time to sort things out and make decisions with less stress :D I, personally, would go for the cream Smeg appliances, as to me they look more timeless and also, they'll look cleaner in the long run ;) x

Hey Kate! Steam pod is life changing for sure! But As I saw at the start you doing it the wrong way 🤣 The broom has to be on the bottom, it actually has little arrows on the front to saw you the way. Good luck with the moving 😘😘

I totally hear you on the moving stress, but I also found it a HUGE different going from renting to owning. Owning has so many hidden costs. And being in a strata (I don’t know if it’s the same name in the UK, that’s what we call it in Canada), have so many ridiculous rules, so make sure you read the bylaws because there’s always that one nosy person in the building looking to make trouble. But, it is SO WORTH IT once you are in!!!

Feeling for you with the move and all💗 I am overwhelmed quite often and just try to take one thing at a time, one coffee, one call, one box. On another note, sometimes you meet with your friends and if they are friends with you they must be lovely. Could you name them / link them (if they want of course)? Thanks Kate!
