One of the reasons soldiers train with human bodies instead [f solid weights is because when your at war you aren't carrying weights your carrying a body so they have to train for the balance issues that come with carrying a person
The gear alone my Dad was showing me and my brother what he had to carry for himself during Desert Storm. With the helmet. I think I was 12 maybe, or 13 and my brother 11 or 12. He wanted us to experience his weight he carried. I made it across the bedroom before crashing on the bed. My brother, he shifted the weight on his shoulders, leaned forward and just fell forward head first. He got stuck in this arch with the top of his helmet on the floor and his legs stuck straight. Our Dad had to get the bag off him so he could move. So it's learning to carry triple the weight while also awkward to carry. Mad respect to anyone who can pull it off.
that is massively incorrect. Your vest + pack weights over 80 lbs for the average male army soldier. Add on the weight of an average US army soldier of 178lbs a female cant typically fire carry them away from harm. Average female weight is around 140 lbs with fat allocated to female body parts. Nobody wants to go into combat knowing i can save you but you could never save me.
My sister has always been like that naturally. When we were younger I got into fights occasionally and would be hit from the side or from behind by her knocking me out of the way to get to them. I could handle myself very well, but she was extremely overprotective. She even had to test my skill after I joined the US Army. My military buddies thought I liked fighting , but I wasn't half as aggressive as her. The funniest thing about it is that she's only 4'10" and weighs only about 90lbs.
I was never into fighting at school, but every once in a while, someone would pick a fight with me. I was husky and had broad shoulders, just how I was built, but I also liked PE. In any case, I never threw a punch, it was always about defensive moves. I admire the women who work out, whether or not they're in the military. Go, ladies!
We train in Marine Corps Martial Arts Training for each belt in the most realistic environment and the harder degree in belt takes longer to earn - one must do each move without mistakes, you get 3 chances. Between each move, we are in constant movement like a real fight also.
That one lady was unusually strong though curling 40lbs. Never seen that in all my life and I've been going to the gym for over a decade now. Although I don't really stare at people so idk
I suspect they use humans as weights because you are expected to be able to carry humans on the battlefield if necessary. As a mother, carrying a 30lb toddler (even the calm type) is not the same as carrying a 30lb sack of groceries.
The reason that they use each other in the exercises is for a combination of team building and emergency training. It is very effective and results in a lot of strong bonding and trust building.
Not a woman, but I hated “fireman carries” (when they’re on your shoulders). I was the second tallest guy in my unit, so I always got paired with the tallest. He was like 5 inches taller and 40 lbs heavier. Great guy, but that was unfair; I’m above average, but he’s a freak.
I feel you, and I am only 5'11 (short for my family). Drill sgts in basic would keep pairing me off only with male soldiers for combat training. But I never minded as it was fun to hand their butts to them. 🤣
Um, it’s not so difficult for women to grow muscles, that lady is not extraordinary (a freak of nature or something), and a lot of the lifting will also come from abs and chest muscles. Xd Women who are pressured to stay thin and conform to beauty standards might have a hard time, because to support your muscles you need fat, and you need to eat a lot. And all bodies shape differently so not all women will remain physically in tune with society/local beauty or sexy standards. It’s somewhat easier for men to form muscles but it isn’t that hard for women either.
I'm a lean body type think Holly Homes , I have to eat 4,000 calories a day to gain muscles- you don't know shit about other body types. I used to go to the gym 3x a week to lift and run , then TKD 3x a week . at my fittest gym rat self i wasn't as stacked as these women ! They have a certain body type for this I don't have and many are probably 3" shorter than me. my friend who is 5'5" at her peak fit could gain muscles like the black lady. I could NEVER .
I think the trainer was soaking the fact that there's all these extremely muscular extremely attractive women with giant attractive thighs and was coming to the realization there was no excuse for going easy on his female clients by giving them tiny pink dumbbels XD
Great to watch. I had a lot of fit females on my last two ships. They were strong and loved to excerise, unlike me. I was always tired but managed to workout at least three times per week for 22 years.
why do specifically men from korea think that women who have muscles are on steriods 😂 women who work out have muscles LOL. korean women don't really work out so much as life 10 pound dumbells for 10 minutes a day. the ones that actually do hard stuff at a gym will have bigger bodies. that's just how muscles work
I know right 😂 just korean women also worry too much about beauty standards so they don't want to workout. For some muscle isn't attractive. And also I live in Korean and like more than 10 korean staff women go on these ridiculous diets to eat one meal a day cuz they wanna lose weight. Im like um...you are embarrassed to be 120lbs at 5ft 4inches?? . They complain their backs hurt so i recommended they stretch and do exercise. They always say " Oh no it's too hard. I hate that." Lol😂 Then they complain they feel tired all the time and all i wanna tell them is eat 3x's a day. I know everyone's body is different, but i don't understand how someone can function normally without physical issues with 1 meal a day... maybe im trippin' idk. Lol😂
@@user-vm3hz9vf8e TRT doesn't make anyone become a man. It increases hormone production. Women who naturally have more testosterone will get dummy buff without it. Have you never seen a black woman at the gym? They are known to have the most.
These two have good chemistry! Also weight lifting is increasingly popular with women because of the benefits of building muscles quickly and many like working out. I personally like weights more than cardio and other exercises.
@@___LC___ why not both? They both have benefits that are healthy. I don't have excellent blood pressure (typically 110/70) and low resting heart rate if it wasn't for a good mix of cardio and weight training. Need to get back into it tho. I gained 60lbs in 6 months last year due to medications I had to take but even at 195 I still have really good vitals.
The U.S. military is voluntary so they want to serve and do so with amazing enthusiasm and vigor. Don’t forget that historically the U.S. deploys more personnel to war zones and military actions than most other countries’ do. So the expectation is that they will see some action. They need to be ready.
When I was in wrestling I couldn't do pull ups because my elbow would lock up, so I learned how to do pull ups on my right are only and worked out the left arm afterwards. I used to be able to do handstand pushups as well. Unfortunately, we were under the poverty line at that time and could never afford to train outside of school with proper equipment or purchase the necessary meals to maintain my strength, but I hope to be like these women again someday.
Thing that I noticed when I was in (finnish) army. There is a clear divide between people who can do explosive streght and who could do it long time. For example I could only light around 100kg dead lift but but still could march 50km with 50kg backpack. Those who could do 200kg on deadlift where struggling on same march.
I honestly think it’s upsetting that they are surprised that the women are also strong. We are all human beings who can build muscle. sex doesn’t do anything to that, sex only changes some things about the body.
The fact that neither of them understood WHY soldiers would need to be able to DO the lifts shown was, honestly, scary/sad/and nice all at once, imo. Scary and sad b/c these are skills they will NEED when/if they’re ever called upon to help save their fellow citizen especially in the case of an attack from NoKo or a fire in their building w/ unconscious family/friends/neighbors…you will need to be able to safely carry them away. It’s nice because they have the security and peace of mind in their country where it is HIGHLY unlikely they will ever need to use this skill in their lifetimes. In the U.S. Military we actually deploy to dangerous territories and war zones where it is paramount that we DO a know of these lifts and are fit enough that we CAN use them.
Body weight training is a necessity because it’s what you have to do in an emergency if one of your squad members is unable to move by themselves. The bulkier guy mentioned that humans are hard to balance himself, that’s why they have to train with the difficulty of learning to balance a human.
Am I tripping or did we all have to do at least 5 pull-ups on the presidential test they used to torture us with in gym class? Just one pull-up? I think my teacher would have failed me
Well one of his comments was 'no one has an excuse not to exercise, see, they do it without any equipment' and I think part of how impressed he was owed to him processing how women in many countries are still afraid of gaining muscles because they are afraid it will make them look manly, but here are all these good looking muscular women with voluptuous thighs and he's thinking there's really no excuse for your tiny 1 pound pink dumbbells girls, see, you can still be gorgeous and swoll! XD
I know a senior in my high school that does weights almost every day, she does basketball and I'm on the cross-country team with her. Pretty much the first thing you notice about her is how strong she looks, especially her back and calf muscles. It's crazy how strong she is, I look up to her for that.
Just fyi those are Marines, Soldiers, Airmen and Sailors. There is a difference between military personnel and they deserve to be called by the title they have earned.
first two examples were us marines also (this is from an airforce vet that instructs me at a jui jitsu class I go to) 3:50 it's called a military press because of what it targets and how hard it is. I've done a few and man it's hard
I'm always fascinated that when I was in the Army, I was a total weakling and weighed next to nothing... I was in great shape but just had very little strength. As I got older, strength came naturally and I'm a lot stronger now at 67 than I ever was at 21! I never worked out very much either! P.S. That is one huge Random Task!
On the exercise they did in the studio, it's not the abs holding the body straight. The abs bend the spine forward and bring the ribcage closer to the pelvis. So when he lies on his back and has to try to prevent that forward bend, it's actually the muscles in the back (erector spinae) that work against that forward-bending force. These are the muscles that can keep the spine straight or bend it backwards into a hollow back position.
I was built like an ox in my younger days. I would put most men to shame. I worked with 2500 men and I would see new guys start the job and leave at lunch time and never come back. You gotta be strong to be a woman. You two are funny enjoyed watching you.
I'm so glad to see such positive comments here! Civilization has come a lonnnnnnng way in the past 20 years since I served in the military. Good work, humans!
That fitness instructor is not a good one. Not differentiating exercises for women and men just means you are making women do male designed exercises. Women and men have different levels of strength, stamina, flexibility, balance, endurance, and recovery. Men do far better on short, intense workouts with long breaks between, while women do better with long, moderate workouts with short breaks between. Men have more brute strength and power, women have more stamina and rapid recovery. To ignore this is lazy teaching.
Get the TRUCK OUT OF HERE with that BULL SPIT. You have never seen a single dang thing of reality in your face. WOMAN CAN NOT COME CLOSE TO A SHRED OF MEN CAPACITY IN ANYTHING PHYSICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY DO NOT HAVE TESTOSTERONE THAT MAKES THEM HEAL FAST JUMP HIGH SWIM LONG NOT AT ALLL!!!!!!!!! WHAT THEY ARE GOOD AT IS WHAT MEN ARE EASILY GOOD AT PHYSICALLY BUT HAVE NO SPACE ANY WHERE NEAR COMBAT
Heyonsu might want to take up exercising, since he should be preparing for mandatory service, methinks (as a fat guy who never served, thanks for your service on this Veterans Day).
When I see those female solider work out it remind me of movie GiJane ( “I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself.A bird will fall frozen dead from a bough even having felt sorry for itself”) that what I think keep up👍🏻👍🏻
Our bodies are ours to use while we're here. If you want to sit on the couch and get fat, you do you, and if you want to get ripped, you do you, as well.
Sadly, these are probably the most extreme examples of female military members. In many instances, their physical requirements were dropped precipitously due to the fail rate being so high.
Well, if you join as an enlisted person, be prepared to sleep in one large room with about 30 other women. There are no beds. They sleep on floor mats that are rolled up and put away during the day. As a volunteer, you'll earn a LOT more than the men who were drafted into service. As room and board are all covered, they are paid about $80 a month which is a lot more than it used to be. Ten years ago, they were paid about $20 a month.
Learning a "dead lift" is one of the most useful things I can think of.. i think it's also called a "fireman's carry"?? I'm fat and short (typical American, unfortunately -.-) 5'4, 200 lbs and I dead lift my friend over my shoulders VERY easily from his standing position; he's 5'7, 178lbs and he seems light as a feather this way
Female soldiers are expected to carry male soldiers with equipment i a 210lb male with 50lb will be quite heavy especially if its dead weight. I know plenty of women who can and have done this in the military
Those are women United States Marines. We dislike being called soldiers, please call us Marines or warriors...soldiers are in the ARMY we aren't the ARMY. Thanks! 😉
I counted 11 push-ups there. To pass the male's physical training test you would need to do around 31 more. Fun fact, I had a female grader tell me to slow down while doing push-ups for a PT test. She couldn't f'ing count?🤬 I was so pissed! Totally trying to sabotage my score.
Men tend to forget that just because women don't bulk up like men, doesn't mean that we don't build muscle. There's a difference between strengthening muscles and bulking.
Our female soldiers should not be messed with. They might look like cute, innocent young women but, they aren't. Tread lightly. During war and after war.
The women you are seeing are like 1 in a 1000, the rest can barely pass the most basic physical fitness tests. It's literally all over everywhere how the military had to drastically reduce standards because women just couldn't keep up with the very basics.
