I completely agree. Great coworkers provide a great work environment. We spend more time with out coworkers than family. So great coworkers pretty much equal a happy life.
I think the significance we can take from the word passion and it’s latin root “pati” (to suffer) is that our passions often come from a place of suffering. Meaning we are moved to action by finding purpose or meaning in our suffering. A nurse is passionate to work in palliative care because they might have suffered watching a loved one get old or their body failing them and passed on. Taking that suffering, and using it to help others. Pursuing a passion is the opposite of gritting through the suffering. It is enjoyable. Often times because it is in meaningful service to others.
