Thank you for doing this video! Society makes drinking out to be “necessary” to “survive”, when it reality it just amplifies anxiety and depression. I appreciate you being honest and standing firm on your decision. Your kids will benefit from it greatly!
I’m 15 years sober this year. I quit drinking because I realized I had a problem. I was so bad I was drinking all day, even at work. It got to the point I couldn’t function without alcohol. I woke up one day and realized that wasn’t the life I wanted for myself. Now here I am all these years later, I sometimes look back and think if I hadnt quit when I did I wouldn’t have the things and people in my life I do now. Shortly after stopping drinking I met my husband, we have three wonderful kids, a house…all the things. Who knows what would have happened to me if I didn’t quit, I might not be here now. I’m not against people drinking, when it starts to run your life is when there is a problem.

We quit drinking too! It is so bad for your health. Proud of you Oscar. It is funny because everywhere I look now, there is alcohol and it seems so dumb. It doesn't bring good into anyone's life. There is nowhere to go but down when you drink. Don't let the devils juice play with your soul. It is only up from there once you quit. Keep soaring high. 🤗
I've recently discovered I have a really bad drinking intolerance. I knew I always had worse hangovers than everyone else but seeing everyone go about their day and I can't even move or stop throwing up for 24 hours straight was a huge wake up call for me. And the last time I got drunk, I woke up with a alcohol rash that just went away after like 6 months! So thank you so much for this video, and for showing us that you don't have to drink to have fun. This is still a journey I am on, but I am finding it easier and easier to say no to it. ✨
Yesss! I am 149 days sober today. I wanted to quit drinking over a year ago and would stop for a week or 2 or a month here and there. I am so so happy i finally just stopped. I thank God often for this. Life is so much better

im sober since September and god I miss it. but im an addict (to narcs) so I had to give up drinking as well so I can treat my bipolar properly lols its so good to see people making that choice without being forced into sobriety like me lmao my body screams for it still and im starting to think that ache will never go away. all I can say is don't get addicted, and that's to anyone reading this. im only about to turn 23, I've got the rest of my life to suffer with this and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. proud of you Oscar.

I’ve never drank, simply because I don’t like the taste of alcohol. Sometimes my friends try to get me to at least have non alcoholic beverages but I just don’t want to. You go Oscar! Proud of you! Look forward to your videos every day🎉 party on!🎉🎉
I'm 65 and enjoy watching your your vlogs. Because your so down to earth and honest. My husband was a alcoholic. Addiction runs in our family. He passed a few years ago. I wish he had gave the drinking up. We were married 37 years. He died of a heart attack but also drinking had ruined his liver.
I do dry Jan every year and I love it, makes me feel so motivated and try new things, I realised I can have fun without the alcohol. Good on you for committing to it long term!!🎉
I quit drinking January 31, 2022 and I am so glad I did! I’m 31 and spent half my life struggling with alcohol so to not have that as an issue anymore feels soo freeing! I feel like since turning 30, drinking gives me the blues for days afterwards, and I just can't have that with my kids. Literally just bought an alcohol free wine and wow... Was just as good and I felt amazing next day! Good job on cutting the booze for a better you ☺️

I think people have very different responses to alcohol and the problem is really how it affects our brains. If you are lucky enough to have insight that it Is causing havoc in your life you are right to stop!

Good on ya buddy, I was sober for like 4 months and then new years came and I started drinking again! I know I’m an idiot. It’s funny my fiancé always says we look and act a lot the same. I went through the same thing, recovering from a night drinking was so mentally and physically draining for me, and I was definitely over indulging. I didn’t struggle with the addiction aspect like some people do so I’ll still have a glass of wine here and there, but man it is so liberating that I can go DAYS without even thinking about alcohol now.
