A mystery of a single unit rebuilt by Wabtec that had worn 3 numbers in a matter of weeks and had two identities, either MTA or CDOT. The mystery was solved in the end.

Awesome video! Was just thinking about this lol! So was the falsely marked “127” changed to “114” and now finally “129?” Also, do you know how many other BL20GHMs are in the works?

You can tell they are the same unit by the marks on the frame. Especially in the primer. There should be 2 more but who knows when they will be done. It's a parts supply issue.

Oh ok, well that’s cool that the mystery has been solved! Also very interesting that this unit went through 3 different road numbers at the plant. Wonder why that happened. And ah ok, that would make sense given that they were originally manufactured by Brookville... I didn’t even think about that lol.

FYI - 114 and 129 are two different engines. These aren't all the same unit...

Is 114 a old Loco from back in the day, that was rebuilt for a smaller railroad?

It was built by Brookville in 2008 for CTDot. They had it rebuilt by Wabtec
