I feel that bro, I went 4/5 6 assists no turnovers. The big went 4 for fu#kin 21 and the small forward went 3 for 18 and I got a message that I was trash and didn't pass enough.
I got one just today from a center telling me to go back to MyCareer when he went 5/14 against a bot. Mind you, I took 1 shot. I never had the ball passed to me. C went 5/14 on a bot and SF went 3/18 or something and it's like they want to blame me because they are trash
It kills me that a popular content creator is getting the same treatment I am in the REC. There's something seriously wrong with our community. It's actually crazy to know that on both sides someone or multiple people will sell a game about as quick as you take a breath. People there's an option for you to play whatever you want just choose it. 1v1 stage for those that refuse to pass, 2v2 for them lost duos, 3v3 for the cliq trios, 4v4 well....learn to pass to one more person. Ultimately, it's basketball IQ and selflessness are key to gameplay, win or lose being smart while trying at least. I have to say that 2k refuses to put in mechanics that heavily favor team play while punishing poor IQ and selfish actions. It actually would be hilarious if people got a marker for there gameplay over time. A black hole 🕳 for non passers, a banana peel🍌 for TO machines or a clown 🤡 for those that shot a poor % consistently. I'd be able to leave the lobby quick. Great content Dime, unfortunately if you can't get the ball it's worst for the rest of us.
Rec is for bots that have nobody to play with I only enjoy playing it with friends because the casuals will never learn they will always make the same mistakes like flopping when they make a mistake instead of gettin back on defense🤦
This is the most out of place comment. First, why choose my comment for this opinion. Second, why do you think only people (not EVERYONE doing REC is a bot, you said you go in as well btw) with no friends (many content creators go in REC solo) play in REC? Third, the thinking you just displayed tells me you're probably one of those people we see in these videos refusing to hit the open person and throwing the ball to your homie going 4 for 578 while being lost on defense. There's game options for people who refuse to abide by full team play. Do you know that 95% of the time when you and your friends aren't passing to that open person, who's a random, their guy is leaking and scoring. So......flopping is the only thing they can do because if you're waiting to recieve a pass why would you just go play defense? Hopefully, you and your friends run on REC with a full squad or actually have enough IQ to hit the open person stretching the defense to create offense, hopefully. @@sip7532

Did you read what you wrote? You called EVERYONE playing REC "bots with no friends." You should have just stated you don't like or understand why people start flopping the instant they don't get 1 or 2 passes then stop playing defense. It's all about placement. Also, we all know running with rands is a MAJOR roll of the dice often leading to a loss however I personally think that to scout potential teammates It's better than posts/patreons. People will act like they are team players then turn on you most times from these requests to join up. I find it better during a game when you see people being patient, making good passes and playing defense while communicating (or not) naturally. This is my opinion tho. Preach bro! These randoms will love to blame the pg and talk about assists but when you get them the ball they can’t shoot or dribble into two defenders. My favorite is when the PF and C try to be the pg and then can’t do nothing. Don’t come blaming me now I’m sit and watch you get grayed out. They forget assist only count if the receiver can shoot. Randoms have always been bad but this year is a whole new level to them.

Nah bro, ian never seen a video so relatable in my life. When i tell you running point in random rec takes so much mental strength, I could probably rival kobe. Randoms act like they are cavemen, shi they prolly cant even grasp the concept of fire. And what you said about how your iq shows on defense is too true, The selling on offense I can deal with but when I have to guard 1-4 sometimes 5 if the other big can shoot is just too much to ask from me, I had to make a bigger guard, spend my money, just so I could have a chance at getting the stop that my teammates cant get. And even on offense when im trying to work and create space for myself, they just take away that space with their horrible attempts at getting open, bringing their man when I have an open shot, “Bro im wide open” be wanting me to do some nefarious acts. I also agree with you on the fact that if they can run point better than me than be my guest, cause all im tryna do is win, I could have 2 points, aslong as we win ian trippin. Great question, because spacing is definitely tragic. Learn how to be effective in a small space with a kill move you’ve mastered. Specifically a move that gets the defense leaning one way and you counter the other. Actually dropping a video on it today.
This why I like defensive builds soo much or bigs, if my team is tweaking on offense I could help level that out a bit by playing defense, giving my team fast break opportunities and as a big snagging boards and spacing

The most relatable video I have watched on RU-vid, well edited and presented. It's very frustrating that Rec is at this state, both on current and next gen, regardless of console. I believe the rec is where you'll go if you want to actually play basketball, there's a sense of realism and there's IQ that goes into it, which is why I enjoy it. What I can't comprehend is people that just go in to sell, especially when people go in as 2/3 and just pass to each other, regardless of skill level. They don't go in to win, they only go in to troll, it's ridiculous. Hope they bring back Over/Unders, was less common to encounter this last year. Great content man, keep it up, subbed.

Me : 5/5 From 3 with takeover sitting wide open in the corner Teammate : "I'm gonna pretend I don't see that" (Throws up contested 3 and airballs) This happened to me once for real, I was 5/5 from 3, had like 2 assists, 2 Blocks and 1 Steal in the 1st Quarter Alone, I finished the game with 21 points, 3 Assists, 3 Steals and still 2 Blocks because I missed one shot after hit 5 in a row and apparently I sold or something cause I didn't see the ball from 3 for like 2 quarters, most of the rest of my points were dunks or transitional take fouls... Absolutely unbelievable randoms
It’s definitely frustrating when randoms don’t know their role. I play on a stretch big, and my job is to play lock down defense, grab rebounds on defense, space the floor on offense, and knock down the open shot to keep the defense honest if I don’t have the open shot I keep the ball moving to the next open person. Last year in 2K22 I started playing REC for the first time and I couldn’t shoot the best I could was knock down a open middy. I didn’t even know what a 3-2 or 2-3 was. This year I worked hard and practiced and learned how to be more effective at my position (4 or 5) and turned myself into a better team defender and a 55% 3PT shooter in the REC and am shooting 80% 3PT in the Pro-am 5v5. Because I learned that I was clogging the paint by not being able to shoot. And learned how to recognize when I’m actually open. I think it’s important to know your play style, but also be willing to adjust your play style to best fit the team. The problem is people care more about their own stat line than the win. I typically only run with a squad now, and at worst I’ll run with 1 or 2 randoms but when I do they almost always sell us the game trying to do too much and force things that aren’t there.
That last sentence man. Just had a center that scored 28 points on 27 freaking shots and missed like 4 free throws. His name was PASS THE BALL OR I FOUL ofc🤦♂
