Bro one of the worst things in the Rec is when you make the right rotation to play help and the person you’re looking out for leaves your man open for 3 🤦🏾♂️
I was on my PG yesterday and someone said I was the reason we lost when I was shooting 100% (only 7 points, though) and my matchup had 2 points and quit while his matchup had 25 points (the most on the other team). All because I didn't pass to him when he was wide open at the 3 and passed to someone cutting wide open to the rim instead. He asked why I didn't pass to him and I said two people were open and the motion of cutting to the basket caught my eye so I aimed and pressed pass. I said if more than one person is open I just have to pick one. And after that, which was the end of the 1st quarter, him and the Center banded together to make sure we lost the game then both blamed me. All over one pass that we actually scored on. Rec Randoms are weird.
Yea bro it’s nasty In there. I’m shooting 73% from the floor and 75% from 3 and a random that was 5/18 in a game told me “You only shooting good cuz you wide open, go get it out the mud”. That been on my mind for a week now cuz there’s no way these randoms this mentally challenged.
I make a pg I get a trash big I make a big I get a trash pg..and it seems like every time I play I’m playing against a good pg and a good big. The shit is mind boggling 🤯

What I can’t stand about Random Rec is that once we are up at least 10, dudes wanna start messing around and ball hogging as if the other team can’t come back and win 🤦🏻♂️
Or even worse when y’all up like 20 and the other team quits and now it’s 4 ais and one dude. For whatever reason mfs have been playing this game for months now and still don’t know to guard the ai. I get scared every time dudes start quitting because I already know the ai about to start looking like Klay Thompson
Individual contributions gotta have more weight in the rep system. If I’m playing with my boys I always get to gold, then a couple of games with randoms… back to casual/baller 😵💫
I blame the 2K community for 4:20 not being a bump steal 😂 People cried and cried for years that the game had too many bump steals all because dribblers were dribbling into defenders. Now you actually need a Steal rating even if you can play amazing defense without it
I had the first good rec random matchup of this season of 2k. Everyone spread the floor and let me run point. When I say let me run point, they spaced the floor and let me create for myself and others. It was a beautiful scene, I finished with 16 points and 23 assists on no turnovers. Then I got off for the night because I knew there was no chance of that happening again

This is the main reason im tired.....you can play good all day and still lose all day...carry teams and be the only one scoring...not get the ball after being wide open all gane just to listen to ppl tell you you aint done shit. Being a big is nasty work too!! You’ll have to guard 3 mfs a play, snag 15+ boards even with 3 other mfs of the other team in the paint, and still only get under 5 shots a game

ngl dime u made me wan start playing rec i’m currently 50% i think 2 wins nd 2 loses nd i shoot about 70% but i always shoot 60 or higher u def a strong man cuz the amount of 3s i was getting as a spot up just for them to give it up for free was so annoying hopefully i run into u got a xbox just to hoop with u 1 day fr but stay blessed and keep dropping buckets
Dimework! We literally go through the same shit on the Rec. Honestly it frustrating dealing with weak ass teammates. I stopped playing on my Inside-Out Playmaker PG build completely because of teammates being consistent losers. 😭 2k needs a system where we can play with others that have the same rec record or tier in the city! 💯
I think what gets me the most is when randoms sell for absolutely no reason… I had a rando sell the game last night because he didn’t get to shoot the ball on the very first possession smh like he would move his avatar just enough to maintain a C minus and not get kicked
That’s why I’m a straight role player on 2k everybody wanna score but don’t want to do any dirty work.. I guess 2k players are just so focused on scoring that the true role players don’t get credit anymore and I’m completely fine with being a role player..
I uninstalled this shit the other day man, you the only 2k RU-vidr I even watch at this point. There are too many games to play for me to be stressed running with randoms and if I run squads it's all tryhards 🤦🏿
2k needs to incentivize good basketball. dont ban me for leaving randoms that suck, ban the randoms for playing like shit/selling on purpose/going up on 4 people at once & not passing. your teammate grade should drop drastically for back to back to back bonehead plays. these randoms should be getting graded out for playing stupid as fuck. then banned for 30 min, 60 min, etc. i bet the player base tighten up if that were the case.
Yea bro! This is why I quit 2k for the rest of the year. If I ain’t got 5 or an AI with 4 I’m not hooping. And you would think this late in the year they would be better or different. But the problem is there’s to many people having access to nba 2k24 that know nothing about basketball and nothing about the game. There’s no skill gap divider. One thing that’s interesting about rec randoms is that I’ll be playing pg and I can throw 3 dots to open people in which they all miss. Then the next possession when they inbound the ball they chuck a full court pass to another person instead of me as if IM THE PROBLEM that y’all missed three wide open shots I set y’all up for. If we getting open shots every time I take it down the court why inbound to another person in the first place???
Played 3 games straight with weirdos taking contested layups against 2 players and complaining about not getting the ball. Its tough Had me so out of it I started a game 0/6 and 0/4 from 3. Managed to pick it up and score 34 on 13/22 and 8/13 from 3 so I appreciate the dudes I ran with that kept feeding me when I was open 😭
Honestly i go hall of fame in random rec got a hall of fame 3pt shot hunter, floor spacing slasher, and sharpshooter i just only run with other hall of famers now but its harsh when your forced to run with anything under gold
I had to jump out of MyPlayer for a while. Got my purple plate back and went to MyTeam. Maybe its something in the water and it will pass? The thing is, alot of these players can actually play the game. They just don't play defense and think they need to be involved in every play. Crazy....
I don't understand why it's 92 and under it makes no sense the gap between a 92 player and a 70 rated is so much bigger than a 92 and a 99 when I make a new build and im at a 90 OVR I'll go up against a whole team of 60-70 rated players and its just a blowout its never fun

It's a different level of respect for players that do solo rec everyday the guys that squad up with teammates and friends all the time they actually think they good when they aren't if you can get wins with those players low iq players that we have to play with in the rec thats when you know you're a great player
Idk what it be with these randoms I get on my inside big and even tho I be winning a lot I get teammates who can’t hit anything, I be on my shooting big and they never hit me or they just keep moving for no reason and when I’m on my PG they stop giving me the ball and doing dumb shit these randoms are a different breed

I don't know if it's a glitch or what but last night I was playing against comp randoms I guess back to back they were too much on point I especially remember a game against a full lockdown team in no squad rec a f***** nightmare every body was afraid to pass the rock this is suspicious cause casuals don't make lockdowns like that they more on the offensive side 🤔
Deadass the only way anyone will ever consistently win in random rec is knowing how to be a dominant center and playing center. Playing on a guard is damn near a guaranteed loss, shits crazy

The worse thing in this game is I don’t understand when randoms load into the rec then they play but then stop playing like wtf. I’ve had this happen a few times and I’ve really wanted to go into game chat and use all the racial slurs possible 💀💀 but I’m not that type of person
I thought incorporating teammate grade into matchmaking might help with this problem if 2k ever addresses it, like having separate recs for players with B average and higher in the matchmaking lobby

Multiple teammates clogging space setting screens at the same time, bad cuts, bad floor spacing ruins my offensive flow I end up shooting bad shots I know I shouldn’t shoot cus of the terrible spacing 😂
I had 25 and 7 (shooting 70%) going into the 4th but the sg and sf decided they were going to throw the game because they felt they weren’t getting the ball🥲 they shot a combined 6/15 while their guys had an efficient 63 between them. You can’t make this stuff up man

Nah fr I just got the game for free on ps plus, grinded my build frm 60 to a 76 ovr I play pg so was rlly just tryna get the essentials upgraded n stuff like tht, I can definitely say these random out here on the rec be wildlin man no spacing, no rotations just a whole bunch of bums tryna play hero ball, instead looking for a good look. Don’t even get me started on when they miss one shot or i miss one shot and wanna get to flopping which leaves people open on defense, weird game sometimes man.

Bro…my luck is the same with randoms. Cause ain’t no way I load in with 4 randoms, 3 sell early and quit 2Q and me and the C come back down 22 to lose by 1 pt. Random rec has been pure 🗑️ since it became free to play

I love playing with the point guards that can't guard their man, have zero assists and shoot 2/9 in a half. I feel like 2k24 rec is just a place for people who would get their asses beat and have to walk home shoeless if they actually went out to a park to hoop for real
