Yeah when I heard that she'd been arrested I was so scared to keep reading the article for fear i'd hear about those kids being dead because like, Do You Understand how bad you have to abuse your kids for CPS to get seriously involved enough to arrest you when you're a rich white blonde mormon woman in UTAH?

You're right, people DID what they could but authority failed them and the kids. Maybe cps is understaffed, maybe they have regulations that are too weak to actually prevent and stop abuse or maybe they have biases towards some "kind" of families (from racism to classism and elitism, from political views to age, etc) but something is obviously NOT working. This time, the family recorded so much and yet it somehow was still ignored by authorities, if this is what happens for kids that have the world watching them what happens to those that are kept in the dark by their parents? How many kids are suffering in silence? How many have tried to ask for help just to be let them by authorities? How many didn't get to grow up because of that? How many grew up into shadow shells of their former selves? Kids and people deserve a better system and it's time people start demanding for it to improve!

Look to the State of Utah and the LDS Church for your answers. Only if you live there for a while will you begin to understand. Clue: They think differently than the rest of us and what you see as child abuse is considered family values to good Mormons. Few neighbors will speak out for fear of retribution by the Elders.

DCFS is a joke. They do nothing useful. This case is a perfect example. Report after report was ignored because these are “good Mormon parents”.

I've heard from many videos that Bonnie did the evil blanket training for babies. The diggers do it and it was created by 2 vile parents in the iblp, I can't remember their name. It was called training up a child, it's banned in Australia, it should be banned everywhere. The blanket training is repulsive to do to any child never mind babies. The father's is guilty too. He said he was separated from his wife for 13 months. So... Did he basically ignore his children as well for 13 months? I don't trust the father. The children should live with the aunt's or grandparents.

I'd only ever been denied a single meal, but the multi-hour confinements and psychological torment are defo familiar concepts to me. And I've been diagnosed with cPTSD because of it.

He’s now in his sisters custody so hopefully that’s what’s happening and the sister having custody is why their dad is trying to get her in legal trouble because “how dare she take the kids” and if he gets her on any charges she won’t be able to foster her siblings

I just have to say that while I don’t condone any type of abuse or withholding food and water, if your child has to wait more than 5 minutes to get a drink it teaches them that instant gratification is not to be expected.

no this was from years ago when viewers of "8 passengers" called cps over her not wanting her 6yrold to have lunch, or her teenage son to sleep in a bed for 7 months. One of the few times the authorities made it inside the house, it was to a "perfect family" scene. More recently when they went to Pam's house to get the other 2 kids, Pam also tried to play the "perfect family" card by saying she took them for ice cream and later was going to teach them how to make salsa, never mind she had them deep cleaning her house the whole day (don't know anyone who scrubs floors as regular housekeeping).

I can't believe I'm defending them, but: 1) Jodie and Ruby were basically under the protection of the Mormon church and this was happening in Utah, so if the social workers cops are members of the church they risk disciplinary measures with their bishops. If their directors or Supervisors were church members, they could put pressure on the investigative team to stop "harassing" the family. 2) the Frankes trained their children not to talk to any authority figures, including at school. 3) what they could see of the children were clean and well dressed, with no marks on their bodies. 4) the Frankes lived in a nice clean house 5) the Frankes had lots of money for lawyers
