Thank you for summarizing and explaining the history so well. I have been looking for a video to share with my class about Louis Riel and the Red River Rebellion. The videos I watched before yours would not have kept their attention, but you are concise and engaging. Thank you!

Very good episode Demoiselle Lisa. I started collecting the year this Louis Riel stamp was issued. My father, who was a longtime collector, told me that he was one of the great men of our country. A very human being in these qualities of bringing together diversities, values that my father has always defended and educated me. Your report touched me greatly in the accuracy and complementarity of the facts that I did not know.

Who knew the curious brown stamp in my collection without a caption had such a deep history? Thanks to this informative video (and the one before) about the many big and little events surrounding Fort Garry, now I know. Thanks Stamp Cat!

Thank you for watching! I'm glad to see Canada (or at least Canada Post) making an effort to be more tolerant and at least acknowledge some of the 'injustices' and misconceptions of the past.

great video about the history of Canada. thank you, I looked with pleasure. I noticed that you use medical tweezers, you can not do this. the teeth on the tips of the tweezers can scratch the stamp. it is better to use tweezers with smooth tips. or tweezers made of plastic. they can be found in stores for collectors or in online stores

How interesting. Some of the old commentary is just so shocking and cringeworthy.

It is indeed! Really shows how times have changed. And if it was that racist in the 1950s imagine how bad it must have been in the 1860s!
