These guys fuckin orchestrate their music. As a musician, listening to all their songs is so comforting. Everything exactly where it should be, every accent, harmony it's just pure talent. Found these guys through The Dear Hunter and both bands have become my daily bands.
I've asked so many fans and even Kindo band members themselves what the hell is it that gets both bands so intertwined and literally nobody can say what connects the two. It's fucking magical
@@tontocorazon I thought it was just me that mentally linked both of them together. I'd say they are similarly unique in how they manipulate the indie rock genre if that makes any sense. Every TDH Hunter song is different but you're still able to tell it's a TDH song when you hear it. For the most part that goes for RoK too. Maybe some form of these traits are what make them so similar yet set apart. Or in other words they do the same thing differently?
Jazz, soul, blues. Melody and beat at it's finest. Complex harmony and offbeat timing. Piano complements melody with harmony. This song is the culmination of music. This is new age symphony. Music at it's height!
Ash Baker I’m happy for ya man, they deserve so much love. I’ve loved them for over a decade they’re brilliant. Go see them live if you can they’re awesome and so nice!
This group is a perfect example of how amazing and touching music can still be! Thoughtful, tasteful and energetic, these guys deserve to make it. I hope another album is forthcoming!
Check out their Patreon, they've been releasing music steadily for two years now and are starting the process of launching their second album payed through Patreon. Their most recent stuff is quite amazing
I've introduced the Reign of Kindo to several people, and not one single person has ever complained about their music. In a word, they are just awesome. Anyone who hasn't listened to their CDs...do it soon because, if not, you are at a loss. Greetings from Puerto Rico guys. Hope to see you live someday!
One more day and it's all the same. Time is a poison and it's coursing through my veins. Got somewhere to be and I'll be done if i know where. The ink is broke and the well is dry. There's nothing wrong here that refuses to be set right. I keep pushing forward but the scenery won't change. All the days that I live, the best is yet to come if I just wait for it. But time will find a way to run your patience thin. Praying for some promise that this life can make, with my youngest years at stake. My sights are set on the open skies. ?My better days are found to fall before my eyes.? Fool enough to overlook the beauty of a day. Still I thirst for my next big thrill, full of desire but I'm bankrupt of all will. I can set my blame to many tunes that you can sing. And you sing, "Oh, don'tcha know, don'tcha know, don'tcha know. Don'tcha ya know, don'tcha ya know, the skies made ?fun out of? the bad and good so don't hold your breath at all- slow your spin into a crawl. All the days that I live, the best is yet to come if I just wait for it. But time will find a way to run your patience thin. Praying for some promise that this life can make, with my youngest years at stake. Everything that I love could soon be stripped away in all the time that it takes to blink your eye. Everything I hold certain could be swiftly changed, and every breath in my lungs could be the last one I take. All the days that I live, the best is yet to come if I just wait for it. But time will find a way to run your patience thin. Praying for some promise that this life can make, with my youngest years at stake.
Hey I still listen to this every once in a while. Rarely do I get these kind of chills. Who's still there? One of my go to song whe i feel a bit nostalgic
The Reign of Kindo has a magical power that negates anybody's musical context, and makes them realize that this is just an amazing group of extremely talented musicians
This song is unreal, and from 3.25 to 3.50 it's one of the best beats i ever heard, and the 26 who dislike this song or band for that matter , has no clue what real music is.
This is how music should not only sound, but look. You can tell how much all the players are really getting into the music, and it only adds more to the already incredible experience.
I cannot believe how little this genre is listened to. I listen to a song like this and holy cow! Every single musician is extremely talented and it sounds really nice! In my opinion it's probably the best music out there. Indie Jazz rocks!
The best is right here, no waiting necessary. I'm buying this album for everybody I know with my first and second paychecks when I start at my new job.
Listen to the studio version - everything is crystal clear. These guys are ubelievable - easily one of the best bands I've ever heard in my entire life... Get both of their studio albums - you won't be disappointed - EVERY song is good.
1:37....best drum fill EVAH!!! I bet I've watched it 100 times in repetition. What an awesome group! They have the drive and funk like Jamiroquai, with the flavor of Steely Dan. And that's just in this tune.
Just incredible - the parts are all interesting, tasteful and just well written, everything compliments everything else, the song structure, the dynamics, just everything... great band. Big up the sound engineer folk too, the production is fantastic.
So, Candyrat has always impressed me with it's very diverse and unique artist line up. Many of my favorite artists are Candyrat artists. Wow. These guys have definitely met, and exceeded that expectation. Absolutely fantastic!
Bloody brilliant. Joey Secchiaroli is such an amazing singer and he's extremely underrated. Steve Padin is probably the greatest drummer I've heard. EVERYBODY in this band is an insane musician. It baffles me how these guys aren't big.
19 people dont like this !!!!!! WTFFFFFF who are these people and did they just miss the thumbs up button?!!! they have no appreciation for pure music i pray to these guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cannot get enough of em
Amazing concert by TROK last night in Buffalo!!! These guys are so talented to consistently play these songs perfectly live!! And the energy live is fantastic... especially their drummer, Steve. :)
so freaking amazing i've loved the reign of kindo for so long i can't wait to find a concert in TN to go see them they are up there with the dear hunter for me
What a way to kick off 2010! This has the 'feel' of something that a modern rock station might play, but with so much more talent and emotion put into the music. It is my sincerest hope that THIS becomes the sound of the next generation of youngsters. You can bet I'm going to make my nephew listen to this. =D
I've been listening to this song on repeat for over an hour now :|. Thought I'd come back and say again that these guys are awesome. I've yet to listen to another song by them (once I get sick of this song I definitely will!) but GEEZ! Way to make my day!
