We know it's a Nissan X-Trail underneath, but the Renault Koleos actually manages to feel a big step up in both design and interior build compared to the Nissan.
At RM180k for the 2.5 FWD model, it's not cheap, but then again, it also embodies road presence that befits a RM200k vehicle. It has quirky ergonomics, but is otherwise a genuinely very good mid-sized SUV.

You are right. But for those who analyze finances on cash flow basis, bundling your servicing costs into your purchasing price mean that your monthly cost of ownership really is limited to your installments.

I thought VW has been doing this for ages isnt it, the Golf underpins the Audi TT, A3 Family (S3, RS3), Q3 and charge up to 3x the Golf's price, hahaha

I think the only reason most people opt for x70 is because its the cheapest among all SUV. Now the question is.. will anyone will even bother to consider to buy x70 if the car as expensive as other SUV 150-200k range? I dont think so 🤔

Syaz Koay for for the spec and quality that you get with the X70 , i think 150K is still reasonable tho ! look at booby’s first impression video of the X70

curafat ad true. But I personally still think people will not opt for x70. Haha We are not talking about Volvo, Merc or BMW here. Infact it is not even anywhere near any of this cars. By end of the day it is still China car. When is the last time anyone would say. China car is more reliable or better performance then any continental car. THE END.

X70 really trumps all in the segment as a package. Which is why I didnt bother to mention the car anymore. Once the X70 comes into the question, all other choices immediately become difficult to justify.

Still a long way to go for renault to win malaysian heart to gain trust on their products..Since Renault & Nissan work together, Nissan car also become more problematic. I'm refering to my cousin brand new X-trail, every 3-4 month have to go back to Tan Chong to repair/replace car remote alarm system and battery. Really bad car! I my self owned Nissan (livina) also but luckily its pretty reliable mpv.

@@KonWaiLuen it does comes down to customer slash owner opinion to the end,however im not particularly talking bout only this car review.the only time u showed me the thrill was the 2019 Mercedes-AMG E 63 S review,im sure u know of it.Thats the thrill we all wanna see,Mercedes are not gonna let us test drive those cars just like u did,so yeah,we middle class ppl can only see those from here :( .Ill be the bad guy who give the criticism and take all the blame for it but yeah,i hope to see more of those in the future.
