Big Picture: The Republic of Korea (ROK) Soldier
Department of Defense. Department of the Army. Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations. U.S. Army Audiovisual Center. (ca. 1974 - 05/15/1984). Through the Korean Military Advisory Group, the South Korean Army has been able to build itself up to the fourth strongest Army in the world. "The Big Picture" shows the activities of the South Korean Army and its preparations for the future.

Stationed in ROK 1973-74 the regular ROK Army was a very dedicated disciplined group-we had KATUSA troops and they were great!

Served in US Army in the Republic of Korea back in 2007 - 2008 with HHC, 3-2 GSAB.

Ahh yes, I remember my patient drill instructors, I'm sure they had much the same kind of patience. LOL

Loved the documentary. The American KMAG advisors were the unsung heroes of the Korean War, cranking out so many ROK Army and Marine divisions. This success paid dividends later in that war, and in Vietnam, as well.
