Owenn, the dancer that is her love interest during the King of my heart performance, is now one of the opening acts for the eras tour. Also, the transition between love story and you belong with me fooled us all.
next album journey should be Lover coz rep and lover are literally sequel albums. Rep represents the journey of her discovering something more important than her tarnished reputation, which is love. Lover literally started with "i forgot that you existed" to help connect the 2 albums together, thematically.
Finally! This tour is my biggest regret in life. I can see myself using time machine for this tour. She didn't have a world tour of this! Hopefully she will if she's going to rerecord this. Thank youuu for reacting!
hey i've commented this on patreon but i'm saying this here again for the algorithm 🖤 been waiting for your rep tour reaction. 🐍 emoji for the 🐍 painting behind you lol. ready for it is really that girl when it comes down to tour openings. and i agree, getaway car deserves her moment. and so it goes should've been on the setlist (not you predicting so it goes for like 3 times for her to not even be here 😭), but the energy that she's constantly giving throughout the entire tour is truly magnificent. the love story/you belong with me, look what you made me do, king of my heart's production value, and long live/new year's day mashup are my favorite parts of this tour
Most of Taylor's band members have been with her since day one. Taylor used to have guests on her tours. Camila sings on her own now, and Charli XCX is another singer, not from Fifth Harmony.
Rep tour was amazing - loved how the intro set the tone for Taylor and Swifties who were feeling very in their Rep era atp. Ready for it is a perfect opener and I liked WANEGBT and TIWWCHNT as a closer that summed up how Swift (and Swifties) might’ve felt about the KimYe and the other detractors/fair weather friends of it all. All the drama was still really fresh after a barrage of online hate directed at Swift and Swifties - so a high energy, positive closer built around the Friends fountain with some well-earned and well-aimed barbs felt right. I Did Something Bad and King of My Heart were amazing production numbers, and the flowy dance production behind Dress was also really beautiful. Probably an unpopular opinion, but I also liked how the Bad Blood/Shoulda Said No mashup repped Taylor’s country/pop fusion - and who doesn’t love a badass banjo riff?
She does "secret sessions" where she selects few fans and makes them listen to the album before it comes out and it's this huge top secret thing that only those fans get to experience These are fans that have waited outside for hours at shows and never got the chance to meet her, etc
The purple audience should have clued you in that the first piano song was long live! Speak now purple sparkles, glowing purple audience. Loved watching this with you!
Getaway Car had the little movie like intro, and the stage itself was a reference to Getaway Car (X marks the spot and the main stage is in the shape of an X). It didn’t need any props because the stage quite literally was the prop (though it would’ve been cool to have a few dancers)
The last 2 songs are related Kanye stormed the stage and interrupted her award acceptance speech for song #1 and can't have nice things is about Kanye and kim doing the whole phone call crap
Honestly the thing I like least about this whole things is the ending. I agree it wasn’t that great in part because both We Are Never Getting Back Together and This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things are total skips for me. But that hasn’t stopped me from watching it more times than I can count.
I got a notification that while the dispute is pending, it can be posted! I think it will be temporary but i figured any amount of time is better than none! I posted the notification on my community tab as well. :)
I personally think the stage and the choreography of the reputation tour is better than that of the eras, however the setlist of the eras tour and the costumes and the "theatrical" part of the show is better than that of the rep tour
So you asked for someone that tops Taylor's Performance, and I thought of something that at least can compete. She's a German singer and her music is also in German. Her music is also hated or loved by the Germans, but most people have to agree that her shows are incredible. I'll post a link to a live performance she did this year. The tour is still running though and she hurt herself during this performance a couple of weeks ago (she's fine now).
