It’s an Ok story but very much a vehicle to introduce Vicki. I love Koquillion’s mask and I like some of the things you pick up and even better is the Big Finish sequel/prequel The crash of the UK 201. And yes, Barbara is a murderer. It’s that kitten thing again 😂

What are the chances (given we've had a lot of old companions turn up) that the Doctor and Ruby go to Ancient Greece and meet an old woman who tells of a time when the Doctor was much older, yet much younger?

I knew Maureen O’Briens work long before I discovered that she played Vicki when Doctor Who Weekly featured a profile on her. I had seen her playing quite feisty, villainous characters in The Legend Of King Arthur and Tales Of The Unexpected, so I was quite shocked when I first saw The Rescue where she is introduced as quite a vulnerable, impish character albeit with a bit of fire in her.

Don't defend Babs - she's a alien murderer. Vicki called out to her to stop but Babs does what Babs does best 😂. And Doctor ends up doing genocide a few times which I have to laugh when some NuWho fans kick off trying to say he's never done Genocide 😂😂 - Hand of fear, Seeds of Doom (I think they were the last of the species but you can never know with parasitic lifeforms, image of the Fendhal, State of decay, Pyramids on Mars (can you genocide a god debatable), terror of the Vervoids and I'm sure there are others which I have forgotten about lol. I liked Vicki more than Susan lol

@@Call-Me-I seeing that the Doctor actually admitted to the genocide in the story at the end. Shows its from the Doctors memory, that he had performed the genocide independent of the Matrix. As he rightly complained about the Matrix or aspects of the evidence being manipulated various times. If the ending of the Vervoids was different to what he remembered he would of called foul but he didn't and even admits it then tries to justify it. (love the 6th Doctor) so therefore he did commit the genocide. Lol. No NuWho retconing 😂

@@Call-Me-I no I wasn't snarky if I was I would of worded it totally differently. Also I wasn't being dismissive as the story makes it very clear the Doctor messed up by his own actions. He could of protested that the end of the Vervoids was not the way he remembered but the fact he admits he did the act shown. If your referring to the no NuWho retconing joke then.... Wow.
