The movie is ahead of time. When every other director was indulge in romantic masala movies. Farhan akhtar and team went out of the comfort zone representing real youth of the contemporary time. Beautifully portraying group of three friends of different personalities. ( *Akash = Extrovert* , *Siddharth = Introvert* , *Sameer = Ambivert* ). It showed a long journey of fun loving immature friends to taking up responsibility on family pressure and going with the flow. I believe more movies like this shall be made on the issues with which youth of contemporary time can connect. . . 👇 This many people Agree with me.

Remember farhan was barely 24 when he made DCH. Such a wisdom he carried that young working with top class cast and crew.

The realisation on Aamir's face during college scene and background music makes it one of the most powerful scene of Indian cinema.

5 years after passing out of college,this movie hits on a different level now. Everything mentioned by Akshay Khanna on the top of chapora fort is so fucking true. Everyone is busy and struggling in his/her own life or moving on. Nothing remains the same and you realise how true it is.

This movie is simply unforgettable. I sometimes feel pitty on Akshaye Khanna, honestly speaking he has really been a very fine actor but very underrated.

This movie was a revolution that brought in so many people's lives, taught how much friendship, travel, peace, humour and love matters in our lives. I was just 4 years old when this movie was released and since then till now god knows how many times I have watched this movie and ZNMD (2011). We need more films like this. ❤👍💯

I believe DCH is one of the finest Indian movies based on friendship. Everything shown was so raw and relatable to college-goers and young adults... Just look at the raw emotions, egos melting away, those silly fights that leave us not talking for years, and meeting up again through some chance, ending the unresolved past... It feels so real and emotionally touching even after so many years. I vividly remember watching this masterpiece on August 11, 2001, Saturday, at the 6:30 PM show at Galaxy Theatre, Bangalore, when I was a college kid. We had a huge crowd applauding towards the end; it's still one of the best movies I have watched to date.
