Exactly, it's the type of writing a forced situation where "free choice" never existed in the first place, and anyone else (Kiritsugi, any version of Shirou Emiya, Illya, Rin, Sakura, etc.) would be hard pressed to do something similar. Fate just decided to deal you a awful hand for the rest of your existence.

Shirou do have happy lives in Emiya Gohan and Fate/Kaleid, not Miyu's verse tho. And in all 3 main routes' normal and true ends (except Heaven's Feel normal ends), he do have a happy ending. Fate route is still a bit tragic with Illya's death tho. Last Episode is also a good one. In Fate/Apocrypha, he indeed has a happy life, too.

You do understand that pretty much the entire cast of Fate is insane in some way or another. Kiritsugu let out a vampire apocalypse and was forced to kill his dad when he realized that magus are assholes. Shirou was a blank slate raised by a dying man who if he didn't save Shirou would have blown his brains out. Haruno is a clone who in the timelines that he doesn't die. Gets shanked by Archimedes, split into three, and used to bring about the apocalypse. And then he has to fight an ancient king that brainwashed a planet. And the alien apocalypse is still flying around waiting for a rematch. Walter got lucky by comparison and Gray is a cinnamon roll who would be completely justified in killing her family. Since they planned to feed her to Saber in the hopes of fixing Brexit. Sieg was made to be a disposable tool and sacrificed his love, his friends, and his humanity. To stop a crazy Tuxedo mask wannabe from turning everyone into Tang. Even Ritsuka who is the most normal dude in the story has directly and indirectly killed millions at the bare minimum. And clearly needs professional help.

@@aliastheabnormalI feel like the best “endgame” personality for Shirou would be one that keeps his ideals but confirms them to a realistic way of thinking. He would be selfless and selfish as well as knowing when to follow his ideals and put them aside and just do what he feels is right.

@@thewhyzer As much as I kinda like Muramasa, in the end he isn’t Shirou. Having his feeling doesn’t mean he gets to be his replacement. FGO is just being dirty to Shirou. All his efforts to be a hero of justice and avoid becoming a counter guardian is wasted thanks to the whole pseudo servant system. It’s like they forgot about Shirou’s character entirely. ​​@@subcommanderxelios800Not really? The thing about Muramasa is that he's not really suposed to be a HS. Hence why he needs a vessel to be summoned. But Muramasa himself states that his personality is moreso derived from his vessel than the actual Muramasa, again, because he's not an HS and more of a Wraith. He described his resulting personality to be the result of his vessel "living Muramasa's life". As opposed to the other Pseudo Servants, who more or less just completely take over their hosts. So really, Muramasa is just "What if Shirou was isekai'd to the past and lived Muramasa's life". It is funny to note that Muramasa then also says that he was surprised how compatible his vessel was with the process, to the point where he questions whether his vessel was a long lost descendant or something. So it seems like the real Muramasa was pretty similar to Shirou anyway.

I think it's because we don't really get a lot of shirou content, he is by the mc of what's basically the foundation of the fate side of the nasuverse with stay night But he's not expanded after that,sure it makes sense since the creator stated that his story is over after stay night but with characters like Rin,Sakura,Saber,Cu, and others from the stay night cast making constant reappearances and Archer being so disconnected from the shirou we know that any form of content for shirou himself will probably be very popular

In the past, Nasu said that counter guardian EMIYA is more or less in his 30s. Now, considering how his alter version was going down the same path even before meeting Kiara, we can still assume that this happened 10 to 20 years after FSN. Basically, Taiga eventually found someone important to her long after the events of Fate/Stay Night and it was obviously me.

I have a theory that taiga's son is adopted, since it's always hinted or even outright said that taiga is bad at finding partners. plus shirou left her so as the video says she felt alone and adopted a kid. I like this theory of mine cuz even shirou was an adopted son to kiritsugu
