Good shooting Mark yes it's starting to make sense about the barrel being gunged up when first out of the box. It's certainly improved it's accuracy since you polished the barrel. To be plinking at that range and with a sub 12ftlb gun at that price is jaw dropping. Well done on your efforts. I watched big Dans review of the Ixia and was impressed. I also hear that there are barrel kits to change calibres. Tho I don't think they are available yet in this country. That makes the Ixia very good buy.😎👍

Good advice Mark , I always clean the barrel out prior to shooting it first , sometimes the amount of gunk / gung that comes out is unbelievable then you think to yerself , what if id have put a pellet through that , im guessing its a graphite type substance .. probably would have scored the barrel .. Gamo being the worst I've encountered .. bought a GX40 for me daughter in laws birthday , put about 6 cleaning patches through till it was clear before I wrapped it up for her ... mind ya , its bloody accurate for a REAL budget gun .. off to range tomorrow , full English first , as usual , aint gonna stretch it out too far , gonna get some practice in for close range ( 15 - 30 mtrs ) got a few squirrels pissing off the song bird population in our garden ... im afraid there time is numbered .. good shooting at them distances , way to far for me ... 40mtr max ..

reximex is like artemis .lots of grease and oil in the gun. and with some care and after work they shoot well, if you got lets say a 33 mm regulator and you want a 32 mm to fit the gun tube ,its not difficult to turn it down on a lathe to fit 32 mm and also the o ring groove, or a other combination

Take barrel off and use de-natured alkakol to clean ur barrel out followed out by Ballistol... better accuracy Brother!
