Sy Jenks & Earl Dwire were excellent in this comedy western. They were certainly underutilized in future films, IMO. One of my favorites.

Absolutely hilarious. I love it. Pink Panther and Columbo both were plagiarists of this episode. Thanks again for your effort and dedication to the preservation of and sharing with us, of these gems.

This movie is so much "Of A Type." There was a time, before Netflix, when it would have played -- in a theater, of course -- second, after a cartoon and before the main feature.

Like my old man would say " only in the movies son , only in the movies " / thanks i grew up watching old cowboy movies i can not get enough of them / I always say I wished I grew up in those days / They were the people that built and made this country / sure it was not e/z , but I got a feeling there was a lot of less b/s tolerated back then / and a yes was a yes and a no was a no and your word and hand shake were everything you were judge by / and you looked people in the eye when talking to them / I think it was like that up till the late 1950 then all hell broke louse / and look what we got to day / it's all b/s / GOD help us all . / WELL , happy trails to you until we meet again , happy trails to ..............

The director of this movie, Robert N Bradbury, is the father of Bob Steele. He also directed John Wayne in many of his early B Movie Westerns for Lone Star Productions.

Steel was a twin. In early films, Brad bury had a hand in writing, according to the credits.

@John Howard Camer, I hope you get this message, I can't tell , I had to write your name in, in a lot of ways I feel the same way even though some of it looks hard maybe a hard life ,but when I watch them I long for that too, your name would definitely fit in a western town, thank goodness for men like Bob Terry that keep these shows we love and dream about , they are the keepers,( watchers so to speak) of the shows we love to watch ,take care partner.

What did they use in the shell to make so much smoke? Buffalo was not the brightest light bulb in the room. He reminded me of Fuzzy Knight who played the sidekick later in the western movies. good movie for it time. (Mississippi Gulf Coast, USA)

Buffalo was played by Si Jenks (Howard Jenkins, I believe). Born in 1896. He was in 244 movies. He fit in westerns.

This movie starts out with what we need to beware of most politicians. That they tell us what we want to hear. In the last frames of the western was there a blooper with the house that Steele went into had a button to ring the door bell.

Howdy Charles. The native American tribes all used this symbol WAAAAYYYYY before germany did. It is called whirling logs. It has a few meanings kind of a good luck symbol. There are several places online where you can learn more about it.

What we know as the Swastika was a Navajo symbol. All of the road signs in Arizona had the Swastika on them as good luck markers. The Indians considered it a sign of respect to them. All the signs disappeared practically overnight when Hitler declared war on the United States.

@@davidtaylor8688 The stories I have read that one of Indian misson High Schools used it as their team symbol until the Nazis used it for their national symbol. It may go all the way back to tower on Babylon and ziggurat.

"Something just doesn't seem right about this western why does it look like it was set in the 1930's, I know the movie was made in the 30's but the clothes Bob Steele was wearing look more like 1930's eastern suits than 1800's style eastern suits."-🤠🐴🖥🍺☕🌐..
