TIerney doesn't exactly fit the player profile model however he has both a special talent and abiltity that makes him a major option IF the board are intent on supporting Brendan Rodgers' tilt at Europe. Regards Kelleher, simply too expensive. However I have a clear path to getting it done. If you fill the left centre back role with McKenna you add a starting quality player (ok, not utterly ideal, but still ticks every box) and you do it for no transfer fee. Then, you can handle the 15m fee for Kelleher however remember he REMAINS worth £15m. If he has a good season or two his value goes to £25m. Spending on Kelleher is not just throwing money at it, in fact you can easily argue £15m invested in Kelleher as a much greater value that £15m left in the bank which because of inflation is GUARANTEED to tumble in value.

Just cause we are seeing the club across the city signing up freebies and youth players, but if Celtic are buying someone, then it might not get decided before the euros as decent players aren’t focussing on transfers and the windows not open yet!
