The right water to choose for making coffee?
I've heard a lot of clichés: those who use sparkling water to make creamier coffee, those who use demineralised water... But today I want to clarify them.
The SCA, Specialty Coffee Association, has given clear guidelines about which is the right water to make coffee. But is it commercially available? Which is the one I use every day in my coffee machines to make coffee?
Extracted coffee is composed by 98% of water and therefore you understand how important the taste of water is in determining the taste of the coffee and therefore the choice becomes fundamental.
But you know that water has flavor, would you be able to recognize it with your eyes closed? Do a test like I did ;)
The water I use is the Blues from Eurospin, Sant'Anna spring.
