Texas Drift Academy had a unique problem where our ring gear on the flywheel was damaged. This caused the crank position sensor to read incorrectly, preventing the car from running at a certain RPM. To fix this, we swapped out the damaged flywheel with a new one from @actionclutch . We choose this flywheel due to its low weight, faster engine response, and high heat tolerance. Before we could throw in the new flywheel, we had to drop the exhaust and trans bracing so the trans could come out. With the clutch and trans out of the way, we can throw in the new flywheel. We use a unique tool to prevent the flywheel from spinning; this will allow us to apply the proper amount of torque. We use @permatexusa red Thread locker on brand new ARP bolts and run them down evenly before torquing the flywheel bolts to 75-foot pounds. The last thing we do before installing the clutch is thoroughly clean the surface of the flywheel; any contaminants or fluids will cause issues when the clutch goes to engage. Now that it's appropriately installed, we can remove the install tool and assemble everything. @texas_drift-_academy #actionclutch #drifting #drift #TeamPermatex24 #motorsports #nissan350z #350z #formulad #becauseracecars #racecarlife #carsofinstagram #instacar #cargramm #driftcar #carclutch #carmods #flywheel
