I like how he looks very serious when firing the slingshots, and when he turns to the camera he has this friendly smile.

The thinner the bands, the faster they shoot (you have to use a wide band of course). The best way to attach them is the "Over The Top" method. Search for it on youtube, there are several How-to vids.

No, I do not hunt. I am too soft to kill mammals, plus hunting with slingshots is illegal where I live (Germany). But lots of people in the forums hunt with their slingshots, mostly rabbits, pheasants and squirrels.

I am not a fan of slingbows, they are too weak because you can't hold the rubber under tension like you do with a bowstring. Balls are better suited for slingshots because you can simply draw out more far. "The Rod" can't handle very strong rubber, as it is too small.

The poacher is not my design. I have given a special design to Dankung and it may be available soon, though. The poacher looks like a very good slingshot to me, but the one I came up with has a few advantages over it. Maybe you want to wait a bit so you can compare.

Thats very creative, both of them. loled when you whacked the tin with it. Very rugged looking, great to keep in your pocket if you're camping to shoot rodents.

I have tested sling bows. They work, but I am not a fan. Hit the forums for my elaborate statements, can't give you a full explanation in 500 characters.

I have my original aluminum ScopeShot sling shot from the early 70's. I got it from an ad in the back of a magazine. It uses flat 1/2"-1" gum rubber bands which I'm out of and I need more. Not sure where to get them. The slingshot wasn't a fork shape. The shootway was round with a scope for aiming on top, but it broke the top portion off long ago. It's an amazing sligshot with incredible accuracy.

Respond to this video... We have several variations of slingshot models in America. Most of them include a wrist rest to compensate for the energy required on the pulling of the ammo before release. I noticed that you have no models with that feature. I was wondering if you have anything against it, or is there any particular reason why you rather not use it. Thanks and keep up the great work!

what do you think about the design where you fasten the rubber using two steel balls and then just secure it to the fork? I've just gotten into slingshots and i just recently started to try out some tru-mark heavy pull rubber and i think that's fast, but surely the gold bands you're using, how much more power would i get? also will i be able to attach flat bands on a fork that uses the ball ( loop and secure fork ) /Harbard aus Schweden

Well, I know what I am making in my welding classes now...

I had the trumark heavy bands, i compared my latex flat bands to them. The flat bands have a light draw and they are still more powerful than the heavy pull, but the heavy pull will last longer.

yes indeed a ball-projectile is most suited for a free-floating launch. A bow releases its kinetic energy onto the arrowshaft directly in the first nanosecond while a rubberband releases its driveforce during its entire contraction; this is more gradual, low speed accelleration and better suited for ball projectiles then an arrow wich(used with regular bow or a slingbow with an eyebolt) always has a contactpoint wich causes the 'archers paradox' < a slingbow loses a lot more energy at that stage

you would need welding stuff, it not too hard, you could do it with a steel ring and a bent pice of steel welded together then coved in black ruber

Nowadays, sadly, with people being able to just buy Adobe Photoshop and a digital camera, Genuine Photographers are loosing ground...

I would like to purchase such slingshot, I am tired of clunky weak slingshots from normal shop... I gave them away to fisher friend so he can shoot his bate... but... with it I stopped doing my favorite entertaiment, shooting stuff with slingshot =) I have collected lots of ammo, yet no slingshot... this one I totally admire.

I just got flat bands and I have experimented with it but i cant seem to find the bast way to attach it to the FORK very strong and fast goes through and in wood it's great so the thick ones aren't good?

Gleich noch ne Frage: welchen Durchmesser hat den der Stahl von Ring und Gabel? Soweit ich erkennen kann ist es ja mit schwarzer Schlauchware überzogen wo nur mittig der Stahl rausschaut und das Gummiband ist mit einem gesicherten Würgeknoten befestigt.
