An epic historical action drama based on true events, THE RIOT tells the story of the struggle of a group of Norwegian workers in the isolated Northern town of Sulitjelma at the beginning of the 20th Century.
1907. For young copper miner Konrad Nilsson (Otto Fahlgren) and his colleagues, working conditions are dangerous and oppressive. When the new Swedish foreman Wennström (Simon J Berger) arrives to increase the mine's production pace, Konrad sees an opportunity to advance. Wennström recruits Konrad as an informant but - as a workers' revolt looms - Konrad soon realises he has made a pact with the devil...
