True. Weather effects in racing games even GT, Forza, Assetto Corsa, Iracing, RFactor 2, F1, Grid, Dirt Rally are all super bland compared to what Driveclub was trying to do. Not comparing more profounds aspects like driving physics that are totally different and way more complex in sim games but graphically we've stagnated significantly in the past 5-6 years in the racing genre, especially in lighting department (excluding ray-tracing).

you race against 11 other cars, you're locked to 30 fps, 1080p resolution. i'd rather sacrifice weather effects for higher resolution, higher fps, more cars on track.

@@pippomanonbaudo not for Project Cars, etc racing games. Project Cars on PC could have more than 20 cars on track. Le Mans has the most cars on track = 56. and it has unlocked fps. if your PC was powerful, it could get above 60 fps.

Definitely. We need unique racers more than ever. They're too scared to innovate these days - just chasing the green. "Look how much FH5 is making! Let's just do that!"

Drive club has amazing feel, it has that badass feel. GT is great racing game but driveclub is much cooler

This game is kind of a benchmark for arcade racers. It's honestly like cod for FPS shooters. The foundation of this game is like none other

It's decent in some ways better than GT7 and GT Sport... especially since you can have the in-game wheel reflect how your real-world wheel is being used.

DriveClub is old enough that it could probably run at 120 FPS on PS5 with little issue.

@@directorjustin You'd hope so. There are PS5 titles that struggle running 4K and hitting 60 fps.

Imagine Sony is just this close to having "Forza like" game and Gran Turismo in one single platform, and makes Xbox look undesireable, but oh well, because they have no patient, and would rather chop down the entire studio than getting a big Win. if this game was given 2 more years, developed and managed with care, it will overthrow Forza. Sony had the chance to break through the Forza vs Gran Turismo stallmate, yet they blew it. Xbox literally until this day relying on Forza Horizon as a Crutch, and could crumble easily without it.

But the server was shut down 3 years ago.
