The Rise and Fall of Josh Dugan 

2017 i was working at a pub in Kingscliff where the blues camp was that year and was shocked to see Dugan and Fergo in the pokies all afternoon smashing schooners and ciggies the day before an origin game. Was pretty concerned as a blues fan, and fair to say they didn't perform and when it all came out and blew up I had to laugh.

Money - I don't think he'd changed ,just the money made it easier to keep making bad choices Dude was amazing and as someone corrected me after I said he didn't live up to his potential,he actually had a long and successful career representing his state and country on multiple occasions

I always felt that the more trouble he was in the more tattoos appeared on his body, so seeing how much ink is all over him tells the story of a bloke who landed himself in trouble time after time. The sad fact is these players are some of the most talented players of that time & wasted it coz they didn't know how to behave. There's no excuses either that he was a young man when entering first grade...no coz if these players were a Joe Bloggs, a plumber from bumfukk nowhere then it wouldn't change. They wanted to play in the NRL, these players wanted the money & fame, they wanted to be recognised everywhere they went whether in a nightclub in Kings Cross or pushing a trolley thru Coles doing the groceries. It's just the excuse given to those that can't control their behaviour off field & ego gets in the way of a promising career coz no matter the quality of the player, all they'll be remembered by is the off field dramas & police involvement
