TNA had some real momentum in 2005-2006. I don't know what went wrong. Christian,and then Angle defected from the WWE. Samoa Joe was running rampant. Joe vs AJ vs Christopher Daniels from 2005 is still one of my favorite matches.

I'm DEFINITELY interested in how Impact emerged from the ashes of TNA! I remember things got really chaotic when some of my favorite stars started leaving: Kurt Angle left his boots in the ring; Taryn Terrell vanished; MVP and Bobby Lashley followed, etc.! I eventually stopped watching! Channel surfing one day and getting into the cool, gang like feud between Konnan, LAX and another team led to my 3 week return before the show itself seemed to vanish! Wha' happened after that? How did IMPACT survive, who's running things and how did they become involved with AEW? I gotta know!

I think I can remember TNA hitting British TV for the first time in 2005. After I got fed up with WWE after WrestleMania 21 TNA was a breath of fresh air at the time especially the Knockouts Matches which showed me for the first time what Women’s Wrestling could be which I think many sometimes forget about the original Western Women’s Wrestling Evolution was in TNA before WWE

This video calls for a part 2, also do you plan to detail any of the perceived mistakes that lead to their current state?

Having just found this channel, I'd absolutely be interested in seeing a Part 2 on this about Impact Wrestling. While it's not as big as it used to be, Impact has been putting out a great product these past couple of years, including during the pandemic period.

To be fair though Impact Wrestling is slowly getting better i did enjoy the Sami callihan vs Eddie Edwards rivalry that was fun

I remember 2008/2009 feeling like the company was finally where it needed to be, an entire group of friends and I watched it exclusively over wwe at that point. Miss those days

Fun fact: TNA getting cancelled by FSN is what introduced me to torrenting.

I thought TNA’s PPV with the highest buyrate was Lockdown 2008, which also featured Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe in the main event. Not their first match at Genesis 2006, but I could be mistaken.

Great work again Dave . I miss chatting on the livestream with you all ! I actually ordered every one of those weekly TNA NWA PPVs they did before they got TV . And I enjoyed TNA for the most part (dumb shit aside ) until Hogan came in . I said the same thing about WCW ! lol ! But tell me im wrong ? Both companies went to Hell when Hogan came in . Except later with the NWO in WCW . But Dangerous Alliance era was awesome ! And TNA was decent too with the X division and more . Then Hulk .....

Interesting when TNA moved to Monday night Spike would rerun it on Thursday I would just wait until Thursday to watch it Glad when it moved back to just Thursday as I liked both shows

I lay the blame at Russo, Jarrett, Carter, Hogan and Bischoff's feet. Pushing way pass their prime talent , attitude era shit storylines, keeping younger talent down , not firing Russo and costing them their spike tv deal and more than that

Dave, do make sure when it comes to how TNA lost spiketv, don't push the false narrative about spike and Vince Russo. Angelina love on a podcast spoke openly about how Dixie wanted double from spike during the renewal, and played hardball till spike gave up and walked away. This aligned with a spiketv exec who stated Dixie made the renewal difficul and spike pulled out. Also, Dixie in an article at the time wanted a network that would be dedicated to help tna grow, aka give them more money. Problem is when I post a link, whether a RU-vid or news article for evidence youtube prevents me from posting the comment, so I can't give you links

I HATED tna since the first tv show i saw on TNN I was like 11 And i knew back then it was cringe BUT marky d's videos made me see the good in tna

it's a shame what happened to them. followed the same footsteps as wcw. not putting over there day ones and younger guys to bring in all ex wwe guys who are now superstars in wwe currently. aew almost went down this path but luckily someone got in there ear. stay away from hogan bischoff and russo.

Panda Energy started TNA... WWF made them change their name to WWE.... the panda's have it out for Vince McMahon.
