When I first joined the fandom, I didn't pay attention to RM much. I chose my biases mostly because of appearence (they're still the same, but now I love them rather for their personalities) and the fact that I wasn't into rap much didn't help either. However, as I started learning more and more about Bangtan, their story, their music, as I started grasping more of their personalities through real-time and past content, I just fell in love with that man. He's truly an amazing leader and musician, great friend, and overall just an awesome human being. Smart, wise, very emotionally developed, self-reflective, kind, extremely strong... What the girl said in the video is true - if the team fails, the blame always go onto the leader's head. He's always been very supportive of his brothers (members), never tried to steal the spotlight to himself but rather pushed the others into it. Helped them, challenged them, made them become even bigger and better. I don't know if this is true, but apparently back when they used to recieve letters from fans, he was translating those that weren't in Korean, and if somehow anyone got a hate message instead of a love letter, he would make things up on the spot so that the guys don't get hurt (even more). On top of that, him and Suga got the most hate in the beginning for becoming idols. He was mocked for his looks, his actions, everything. And still he persisted and now they're on the top. He really is the backbone of Bangtan. If you think about it, RM has the most credits on their songs (along with Suga & J-hope), including those on which he's not featured. His words, thoughts, and stories are spread throughout their whole discography, and I think that's partly the reason why it's so good. I love his lyrics. He really is a young genius, a rapping poet. In a way a philosopher too. He has a unique perspective on life and things in general, pays attention to details, appreciates the smallest things... I could go on and on. This, if course, doesn't give away all the hard work that the other members have done. They're all amazing on their own and as a group. Very strong individuals. They're rightfully sitting on the throne and I'm very glad that more and more people are finally seeing and appreciating their effort and contribution to this world.

born singer always gets me 😭 man I’m so proud of namjoon, he’s so smart and wise, I love when the boys mention how grateful they are for having him as their leader, they never miss the chance to remind him that. Their bond is so precious, as hobi said one time, it’s not just because they spend so much time together, is because they were truly meant to be together, it was fate and I can clearly see that

You should see Joon tackle a Mensa problem. While language and philosophy are definite strong points for him, he's really good at maths and logic, so it's fun to see him figure out formuliac problems too. My first introduction to Namjoon was through *Problematic Men,* the variety quiz-show that he was on, and bc I liked him so much on there, I checked out more abt him and found BTS from there.

Actually Suga is also genius. But RM is like a protagonist in anime : nerdy but artistic. Well mannered. Great control of emotion + social ability, leadership (not only in music, but also in political things). Tall, handsome, etc. His holidays : visiting museum/art exhibitions, or just reading books. Glad that it's Bang PD who found him.

Actually Suga is not a genius (except to his fans). RM has a very high IQ which is why he's known as a genius. He got high grades in school in several fields, he scored in the top 1% in the country on the CSAT, he learned English by watching "Friends" (that's something most people could never do) and they literally show his skills in problem solving in this video. It would be nice if people wouldn't always try to take away from RM's qualities by making it seem like the other members are the same or better.
@jenjin9492
@jenjin9492 2 года назад
@@dsilver8397 i think he was talking about Suga being a genius not in IQ terms like Namjoon but music wise.. Namjoon has written the most songs among the members but Suga has produced the most. Definitely we shouldn't take away from Namjoon's qualities, he is the pillar of BTS, they all contribute to the success but we cannot deny that Namjoon is the glue that hold them all together with his big brain, and not only is he smart IQ wise but he has such strong EQ and social abilities as well. He is just saying there's more than 1 type of genius. .... V actually has shown signs of genius, as RM has pointed out.

I don’t know how I missed the second post 💜 RM is a powerhouse. The people you live with are the ones who are closest to you. You rub off on each other. With each member being so talented but all in different areas I feel they helped each other and filled each one out so to speak. Genius comes in many forms. RM’s intellect, Suga is one with music, Hobi with dance, Jin emotional intellect is fascinating, Jimin dance is on par with Hobi, Tay has the ability to read people and access their true intentions, JK has perfect pitch and is naturally talented in everything. 💜

PERSONA is RMs solo song, maybe thats why this episode focuses more on RM and his role as Leader. My biases are Jhope and Tae, but i will Always have own separate special place in my heart for RM. Especially in their early day, he did SO MUCH for the group, as he should as their Leader, but it has always made me feel that their success is greatly linked to him as a person/member/Leader. No one should be offended by this, the members have said it themselves as well, that they never wouldve gotten where they are if it wasnt for RM.

No, Japanese and Korean languages are not similar, except for foreign loan words. It is also not similar to Mandarin. Japan and Korea do have a similar sentence structure though (order of verbs, subject etc). The Korean language has developed mostly in isolation but is most likely from the same linguistic group as Hungarian, Finnish and Mongolin. Shockingly, they share many words, and possibly foods with Tamil (India)

Youre right but they do have some connections. Once i had learned the basics in Korean, it was a lot easier to start learning Japanese. I dont know why but thats just how it was. They are still distictively different. Im from Finland and there are suprisingly words in Korean that are also used in Finnish language, but obviously the meaning is different. After i get to some what fluent in Korean and a little better in Japanese, i wanna start learning Mandarin next. 10years ago i never wouldve thought im gonna learn more languages on top of Finnish, Swedish and English but here i am, studying my 4th and 5th language😂 its so interesting to learn about them, it just takes time and a lot of work.🙏

Just a note about RM's IQ...they explain in the Problematic Men show (that you see him participating in) that the IQs they each scored when they took the test have changed some because the metrics for the tests have changed over the years. We don't really know what Albert Einstein's IQ would be today or even what it was when RM took the test, so I'm not sure you can academically compare anyone (IQ testing wasn't even a thing people did when Einstein was alive and smart people just guestimated his IQ). The maximum IQ score assigned to the commonly used test today is 160. A score of 135 or above puts a person in the 99th percentile of the population. Most likely RM falls within this range but maybe not exactly at 148.

I’ve got an army bomb I bought at my first BTS concert (the first one that came to the UK) in October 2020, then I used it again in June 2021 when they came to Wembley. I haven’t bought the other version yet, there was too much other things I wanted on weverse. Now they don’t ship anything to the UK anymore, it first started with the learn Korean with BTS stuff and I though maybe it was weird rules on batteries or something because I could still buy stuff like photocards. Now it ships nothing apart from membership boxes. I guess it’s saved me a lot of money but there’s been some really nice merch I wanted😢

Hey man, I have to say I am enjoying your journey immensely. It' like reliving everything all over again. I can not wait for the next chapter - the HYYH (The Most Beautiful Moment In Life) era has a special place in my heart. I feel like it is when BTS both as an artist and individual people really came into their own. It was a tumultuous time, no one knew if they could keep going so they just did what they wanted and it was (and still is) incredible. Some of my favorite songs to this day are from HYYH and HYYH pt.2 It is also the start of the BU story-line which is fascinating and heartbreaking and beautiful in it own right. Also super excited to hear you will be doing the mix-tapes as they come up - truly great tracks in those too, you won't regret it.

Ovbiously worldwide fans want that kind of happines for them too but we have to understand that their culture is completely different and it has been like that since forever so even if fans accept it THAT is just a matter that they will probably never reveal to the public eye and im ok with it since thats part of their private lives so we can only wish for them all the success in that sense too.

Yes, they get waaaaaaaaay more hate than others. That’s because they rose up outside the industry and broke so many “rules” both in the industry and the culture. Singing about taboo topics, speaking truth to power, criticizing the culture and their elders, coming from a hop-hop background, not having traditional “idol” looks, etc. Racism and xenophobia play their part of course, but the biggest thing is the massive, existential threat BTS is to not just the Korean music industry but the entire corrupt and capitalistic global music industry. They don’t play by their rules or grease the palms of the rich and powerful. The more you learn about it the more blatant and clear it becomes that a lot of the hate is fueled by industry pushback. It’s not a mystery at all. Their success is a massive threat to the powers that be in global music and a LOT of money is on the line. They have already toppled SM, and Lee Soo-Man in Korea (one of the biggest ones behind efforts to crush them because he saw the threat they represented) as well as overshot the net worth of the entire rest of their industry in Korea. If other artists can use social media to copy their path to success while having artistic freedom, that’s bad news to the scabby rich folks that control things like the Grammys or the US music industry.
@NanciBK
@NanciBK Год назад
By “toppled” I mean SM lost a lot of shareholder confidence and value as BTS rose, then suffered a hostile takeover bidding war. Hybe had the best bid but they adamantly refused to sell to them out of spite and let a Chinese company take them and Lee Soo-Man, the guy who created the idol industry, liquidated his stock. Lee Soo-Man had tried to crush and lock BTS out of the industry, in combination with other big label players. Then he tried to buy their contract early on, which is a not uncommon tactic to deal with talented small label groups that threaten large labels groups. They can then disband them, bench them, etc. Big Hit refused of course. Then he redoubled efforts to destroy them with organized hate campaigns and slander and accusations, media anttacks and other tactics. Nothing worked. Then he tried to take credit for their success, which is both gross and hysterical. Look up the articles about it.

He wasn’t really plowing through that show because that wouldn’t be fun television. They had other high IQ people there too and those clips were of when he was the one to answer first. That’s why it was so cool! Although the guys in that show were brilliant RM was holding his own with grown *ss men! P.S. 12 points is a LOT when it comes to the bell curve of IQ. Also, emotional intelligence is not a scientifically proven thing in psychology. We can’t talk about IQ(supported by actual science) and EQ with the same weight. EQ is just a made up concept popularized by a writer. From what I know, EQ, at best, is believed to be part of the five personality traits(agreeableness I believe). Sorry to go off like this but this is something I’ve looked into and was surprised to learn and want to spread the word.

Japanese and Korean are not similar. Or it's as similar as Spanish and Italian. I know some Japanese, and I'm learning Korean and I find Korean easier in the pronunciation in syllables than Japanese. I found I prefer Korean in sound when sung rather than Japanese though. That's just a personal preference though.
@ccx7004
@ccx7004 2 года назад
I actually think it’s a lot less similar than Spanish and italian? Because spanish and italian both come from latin and are in the same romance language family and share a lot of root words while japanese and korean aren’t related at all? I actually believe Korean is a language that developed in isolation and has no other languages in its family tree but I could be wrong. They do have similar grammar/sentence structure/honorifics system though
