As a Barça fan, he's clearly the best candidate because he simultaneously offers something different & familiar at once. Barça's board wants a change from the coaching profile they usually hire. Hence why they want a German coach, having ruled out De Zerbi due to his buyout clause. Motta, like Alonso, is a fellow serial winner, offers many philosophies & influences that he draws from that's vividly clear in the way his team plays. The best parts of not just both the Positional (Bielsa) & Gegenpressing (Löw) worlds but the Relational (Gasparini) & Transitional (Mourinho/ Conte) ones too. All tied together in a blue & claret bow underpinned by the Total Footballing philosophy education he received at Barcelona. Where he began his journey in Europe at the age of 17 & spent 8 years in both the B team (2 years) & 1st team (6 years) from 99-07. So it is safe to say that Thiago Motta has Barça DNA... that has been genetically engineered by his wide array of experiences he draws from. Ironically a similar story almost identically applies to his namesake Thiago Alcantara. Whom, I'm sure Motta would love as a player in his Barça team. It'd be such a full circle moment & welcomed homecoming for both Thiago Motta & Alcantara to come back to where it all began! *MANAGER:* THIAGO MOTTA *4-2-3-1:* SQUAD AVG AGE (23.8) ST LEWANDOWKSI 9 LWF CAM RWF LUIS DÍAZ PEDRI RAPHINHA 7 8 11 CDM CM ZUBI GAVI 14 6 LWB RWB GRIMALDO CANCELO 20 2 LCB RCB PAU TORRES ARAUJO 15 4 SWK TER STEGEN 1 *SUBS/RES:* 13. I LOVE Bologna my team is CF Montreal and they have the same owner (the Saputo family) so if they make money by being good it makes money for Montreal so come on bologna
I think Motta have the potential to be one of the greatest italian managers, his tactics are so good and genuinely master mind that the attacker drop playing as an extra midfielder and the center backs play goes forward and the fullback cover their spot he is a genius.
Fallen off is an understatement. Napoli were on top of the world. Making a UCL quarter final, then winning the Scudetto then the following season finishing not 5th, not 6th, not 7th, not 8th, NOT 9TH, BUT 10TH. THEY WENT FROM 1ST TO MIDTABLE IN A SINGLE SEASON
Sooo ... we just qualified for the CL. I thought you might want to know. Right now, we're third, ahead of Juventus, with the same score (both at 67 pts). Oh, and we're playing them at home on Mon, 20th May (it's the 2nd last match of the season). It's going to be interesting 😂😂😂 Forza Bologna ❤💙
Midfielders make the best coaches, cuz they see the gsme from both sides. Defensive and attacking. Motta was genius in his playing days and i noticed that bright future for him in management during his psg days
I talk to my friends about that and nobody knows about that and my cousin keeps saying that bologna is milan from masoutis(greek super msrket, not always providing good products🇬🇷)
Everyone has forgotten about Brest in Ligue 1. Eric Roy has done an amazing job to get them to the Europa League, and they still could get champions league too
I like Underdogs especially Leverkusen Bologna Girona Aston Villa Stuttgart and Nice have been great but another team that is absolutely fantastic is State Brest they are 4th in Ligue 1 and probably could play UCL
One of my favourite football channels now.. cant believe peopoe tryting to fact check you ... im extremely knowledgeable about football and this guy doesnt miss... and if he does we all make mistakes.. nothing wrong with questining a fact mentioned in video. But there is a respectful way to do it guys .. ❤ the channel
If this happens ? Girona win laliga Villa win the league BO4 win the bundesliga with stuggatt 2nd Bolonga win the serie A Nice win the ligue 1 And Copenhagen win the ucl
I know this is pessimistic but starlet teams like this often have like one good season then fall off right after. Take Napoli for example. They won the Scudetto last season and now theyre in the mud. Yes theyre in the UCL R016 but in the Serie A, theyre the third worst team on goal difference only to Torino and Lazio and their last match against Roma was a disaster. Just to say I'm sure I'll be proved wrong and I'd like to be but it's a trend at the minute. And yes I know that 7 gd is one behind Fiorentina and Atalanta
The thing eith napoli is that their star players havent really fallen off the management and the appointment of the manager was just AWFUL. They could of had nagelsman but they went with 2 managers who are both terrible
I saw the Bologna vs Roma for a UCL spot next season and quickly realized: We have a surprise in every Top 5 League!! Bologna has been outstanding, they dominated the match, destroyed Mourinho and could possibly qualify for Champions League. What a team!
