The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Am I reaching or did Mustafa kill Hurrem Sutana's birds? It was weird how he looked when he walked up and then was like let's go now, I miss my mom- as if he did it for her???? Cause what animal can open the cage door up? Wouldn't the birds have flown away? But instead they were dead right by it. Hahaha idk if that's the case, but if so that was sadistic or Mustafa lol!! Perhaps that's not the case, Hurrem protected him nonetheless with the riots of the Jannisary.

I mean, based on how Mustafa is otherwise written in the show, such behavior really doesn't seem to align with his nature. The show was just determined to stack up as many things that could be perceived as "ill omens" as it could and (as usual) didn't really think about the logic of the situation. But, admittedly, it _does_ feel like there's something off about Mustafa's expression when he stares at Hürrem demanding for them to go now. I can't tell if the writers' wanted to pitch it as Mustafa coming up with an excuse to go out of concern for Hürrem, but, if that's the case, it's set up horribly. So, basically, I'm here like, "Probably not the show's intent, but I'd honestly read that fan fiction!"

Sakina-ch3yp children can be evil! Mahidevran has constantly poisoned him.against Hurrem! Do you really think that he felt anything but hate for the woman his mother blames for all her problems??? Get a grip! Just because he is young doesn't mean he is innocent or hates Hurrem less than his mother does!!

It's called a miscarriage please educate yourself on the subject before you say something. It's what happens when a woman's body rejects the fetus for a whole host of reasons unfortunately. My cousin's wife had a miscarriage during her second pregnancy due to thyroid issues. I cannot even begin to imagine the toll this takes of a woman. It's one of the worst things to happen too a woman.

@@NikkiDavis No OP just lies and makes things up. I get wanting to use good faith and assume better of someone but that doesn't work here I'm afraid. Besides the poison wasn't what killed baby Mehmet. Hatice fell asleep while breastfeeding accidentally and he suffocated. So even that is untrue.
