Jeff Brohm has turned Purdue from a dumpster fire to a respectable program in just a few short years. Many consider him overrated, but I don’t think so and today we will talk about why I think that and the rise of Purdue football. Enjoy!

For sure. I got to play on the field at halftime for band and it was so cool. The culture at the games is amazing, and Rondale Moore and George Karlaftis are insane athletes.

I remember the game against Ohio State. It was my first American football game ever. I was at my official visit that weekend as a recruit for the golf team and we got to go on field before the game, and storm it after. Best thing ever! Enrolling there in January now and will be on the mens golf team. Boiler up!!

Keeping him when Louisville desperately wanted him was huge for Purdue football for the next decade or so. He coaches the most fun-to-watch brand of football in the Big Ten.

As a life long Purdue fan I don’t remember a time when I was actually excited for a football season. But for the past two years I’ve actually had a reason to be excited. Now that being said I was 5 the year they went to the Rose Bowl so I was aware of how good that team was. But I will always remember driving up from Terre Haute where I was going for my undergrad with some friends and just staying at a random person’s house after the game from celebrating with everyone till 4 AM

Tough games, purdue up and rising but still will be mediocre or maybe a 6 to 8 win team. But u can alway say u beat Ohio state for the big ten championship that year, that's it

Purdue was injured to hell and back last year and still was almost bowl eligible with a few different outcomes Brom would have made it to 3 straight bowls. Just goes to show what he can do. Also shows the grit of these players he has on the team

As a lifelong purdue fan, I'm excited for the next decade of Boiler Football. The basketball team actually has competition for once in a long while. Covid really derailed the progress tho because this was gonna be Moore's last yr and he's projected to go in the first rd of the 2021 NFL draft and he's not going to play IF there is salvageable season. So we only got to see him for ONE full yr. Happy for him and Brohm but it would've been great to see him play more. 🚂⬆️

Awesome video man. I think people also need to understand that hazel was only brining in 2 star offensive lineman and brohm the last two seasons has been bringing in mid 3 star and even a 4 star center in Gus Hartwig. Ideally you want these young men to start as RS juniors and RS seniors. Unfortunately last year a lot of them were thrust in as RS soph and RS Frosh. If we or when we have a season the line will be better but I think 2021 is where it will be one of the better lines we have seen in over a decade.

I’m a LSU fan but I’ve watched Jeff Brohm ever since his Western Kentucky days.I honestly like Brohm.He’s pretty damn creative on offense.

I was at that Purdue vs Ohio State game. I am a huge Ohio State fan, but that game was just a special game by Purdue and I will never forget it.

We had so many injuries last year it's a miracle we won 4 games no Rondale 4th string QB 2 best defensive players hurt, I just hope he is more aggressive with his play calling like he was in year 1

I know you may not do FCS teams but you should do NC A&T, we had a much similar situation as Purdue and had to build from the ground up to get our first top 25 and top 10 rankings

I remember when Notre Dame used to tremble when They saw The Boilermakers game coming up. I hope Brohm gets the recognition and success he deserves. Would love to see him revive and win a Natty.at Missouri.

Coach Brohm and staff are definitely worth the money. Although I will add that wasn’t Mike Bobinski that you showed and to be fair, Morgan Burke was the AD who got the funds and green lighted the Football only performance center. Since then Mike Bobinski hired Coach Brohm, finally put lights in Ross-Ade Stadium, installed a ridiculous sound system to go along with a massive (for lack of a better word) “Jumbotron”. When you look at Purdue’s roster right now it is full of talent. Coach Brohm finally has a roster full of the guys he recruited with a couple left from the Hazell regime. It sucks we will likely have no football at all this season. Because this team is primed to make some serious noise. And they certainly will as soon as they’re allowed to play. #BoilerUp

i don’t know how great brohm is. obviously he took a trash team and made them a 7-6 team, but that hazell team had a lot of nfl talent. we should of NEVER LOSSED to rutgers, nw,missouri, Illinois, or indiana. i know iu is decent at football, but we SHOULD NEVER lose to indiana in football. if we had plummer we probably would of beat iu. but i just think we pay brohm to much money to go 4-8. i think we will improve, but tbh he’s no joe tiller. and also great vid and no hate to brohm just not 100% sold on him

Rutgers, Eastern Michigan, Illinois and Nevada are the only inexcusable losses of the Brohm era. Northwestern won the West that season, and Missouri won 8 games. Last season Brohm gets a pass. He may not win Purdue a title, but they should compete for the West and win big games for years with him in charge.

Its important to note that Jeff Brohm, quite literally cost his team a Big Ten Championship berth in 2018 by starting Elijah Sindilar over David Blough in the first two games. Not only that but when he put Blough in he called bizarre plays that didn't make any sense. So its like he sabotaged his own team.

Elijah had(has) the higher ceiling. Dude can straight up spin the ball. Very telling is that in 2019, through the first 2 games, until he went out with a concussion, Sindelar was leading the country in passing, on pace to set a record year. Sindelar was very obviously the choice, he's the more talented of the 2, but started having mental mistakes. Blough led the country in INT's the year before Brohm got there.

Hold up, imma stop you right there. Elijah had just won MVP the year prior in the Foster Farms Bowl. He also had an NFL arm, so it probably made sense to start him in an offense that relied on passing. The West was very weak that year, and it is possible that Blough beats Northwestern and Eastern Michigan. There were 3 games in 2018 where Blough laid an egg. Those games were Michigan St., Minnesota, and Auburn. We will never know with his inconsistency where he would've taken Purdue.

@@ilMostrare Elijah may have had a stronger arm but he was a statue and was inaccurate. In 2017 he had a few good games. The best being the bowl game. And even during that last stretch of wins in the regular season he wasnt very efficient at all. Hardly enough to justify starting him over the more consistent and seasoned vet.

@@alexcolburn7455 Being good in 3 games the year prior and having a strong but inaccurate arm is not a legit reason to start over the more mobile and accurate QB. Elijah got benched for a reason, he clearly was not better than Blough. Sindilar played terrible the first two games and when Blough was finally given a fair shot to lead the offense, to no surprise he lit up Mizzou and continued to put up prolific and efficient numbers thoughout the season. And OK he had three bad games, so what? He never got benched in season due to poor QB play, something Sindilar cannot say, especially for a full season.

Yaboijay more consistent and seasoned vet?? Did you miss where I said Blough paced the COUNTRY in interceptions the year before Brohm got there? TRUST me, Blough has thrown and given up his fair share of games. I love Blough, he's an amazing person and representative of Purdue. But Sindelar was the more talented QB and it wasn't close. His limitations were mental. Blough's limitations were physical.

When I first joined Purdue, I got really excited when we beat Illinois on the road. At that time, Purdue and Illinois were basically the two worst teams in the B1G.
