I agree… I think the worst drain on the environment isn’t the fuel used. It’s all the resources used to continually make replacement things. I worked for an aerospace company that had old metal halide lamps throughout the facility. In the 8 years I worked there they threw out all those lights and associated fixtures and then purchased and installed all new fluorescent light and fixtures then they threw out all those lamps and fixtures and bought all new LED lights and fixtures. How much of the environment did it hurt making all those new fixtures? How much of the environment did it hurt transporting all those new fixtures? How much did it hurt the environment disposing of those old fixtures? How much did we really save? I think disposable mindsets hurt the environment a lot.
Are they even going to USE all that crap? And if so…. How long is it going to take to actually make someTHING out of it?! Just make sure the battery, engine, transmission(fluids & power) is taken out & squash/shred the rest!
