She actually did see him [Ed Harris] in Top Gun Maverick. Just forgot. She saw both TG movies before her channel was taken down and had to start again because of strikes. He didn’t have a big role in that sequel so it’s easy to not realize that he’s a pretty big actor playing a smaller part.
@@frankiek2269 If I had to guess, I'd say she probably saw Apollo 13, The Truman Show, The Hunt For Red October and The Last Crusade....but there's no way to check. I can't remember.
I wish there was a way to recreate the tour group scenes with Phil Hartmann's character "Vicki" the Alcatraz Park Ranger in "So I Married An Axe Murderer". 😀😀😀😀
Ed Harris and Sean Connery really steal this movie from Cage. And Im enjoying it! 😂 The Rock is a great movie with lots of action! Luv the street car scene! Thanks for sharing Emma!❤️💛
1:44 Emma: "My eye full of tears guys." Interesting you should say that. It always get to me when that Marine on the radio says "They're not coming to get us, are they sir?" and when Gen. Hummel leaves his Medal Of Honor on his wife's headstone, but I never cried about it. However, since I had a stroke in May, I've had noticeable trouble controlling my emotions. This was the first time I've seen this film, or a reaction to it, since my stroke, and that opening actually made me shed tears.
"Radio" (2003) shows Ed Harris in a true storyline, and he doesn't get killed in the end. Co-starring Cuba Gooding, Jr. doing some top notch acting, it is an Amazon video audience favorite with a 4.7 rating and a satisfying human story that you should see.
Director Michael Bay (“Transformers”) set new standards for blockbuster cinema in the 90s with films such as “The Rock”. Not everything is always logical in "The Rock", but the spectacular action scenes more than make up for it and you don't have time to ask questions anyway because there is a constant bang and crash. The great Sir Thomas Sean Connery was 66 years old in 1996 when the movie was made.
As much as I'm not a fan of Top Gun, I'd have to say Tony Scott set the stage for a new era of action films with that in '86, but yeah..Michael Bay certainly took it a step further with the 'bigger, better, faster, more" theory. Aside from The Rock, there were lots of BIG action movies in 1996 - Broken Arrow, Chain Reaction, Executive Decision, Jackie Chan's First Strike, Long Kiss Goodnight, Mission Impossible, Twister, Courage Under Fire, Eraser, Independence Day,
"I have to get up three times a night to take a piss!" The German version improved the joke. They changed it to "I have to get up three times a night to take ONE piss!"
The movie's technical advisor should have told them to rewrite the script to stop calling them rockets! Rockets are unguided, these are guided missiles.
His name was Harry Humphries. In fairness this was his first technical advisor role. He would go on to be technical advisor for a lot of Michael Bay films - Armageddon, Pearl Harbour, Transformers, Bad Boys II... you name it. The only reason I know that is that I looked it up because your question made me wonder, 'This film had a technical advisor?' 🤣 I always presumed not actually.
1996 Was The Best Year For Movie's,This Was Definitely One Of Them,Nice Reaction Sweetheart ❤See You at The Next One & R.I.P To a Great Actor Sean Connery, Still Miss You
Poor Michael Biehn he always dies in every film he appears in. If I were a film directot i would give Michael Biehn a leading role in a film where he wouldnt have to die .
Great movie. You should see Sean Connery in Highlander and The Name Of The Rose beside his James Bond movies . Also Nick Cage has some great movies movies like Face Off, The National Treasures movies (Which are both great), Snake Eyes a great thriller. 8 mm a really dark and powerful movie. The Sorcerer Apprentice a really great fantasy comedy movie.
Great action Film, set on the Rock(Alcatraz), a good use of San Francisco for a car chase, see the Film Bullet for another great car chase in San Francisco; Sean Connery, Nicholas Cage and Ed Harris sparking of each other; Another Firecracker of a Film from Emma, what a way too pass an Hour, thank you Emma, another bullseye; Plus a stylish/charming/eloquent/sincere and deft reaction from the always winsome/beautiful Emma; 🦁🥰😘🙏👍🙏👏🎶🎵🎶🎧🎙🍵🥃🍁🍁🦅.
One of the best action movies of the nineties, Ed Harris is known for The Right Stuff, Apollo 13, The Abyss and A Beautiful Mind, while Sean Connery was James Bond, starred in The Highlander, Indiana Jones and the last Crusade and The Hunt For Red October among many other roles.
Score is top tier! This film made me 1) discover Hans Zimmer 2) have long standing fear of getting used epinephrine. The young me really thought you would have to inject it into heart like film...
It is a really strong movie. Some of the action might be a little crazy, but the acting is quite strong, particularly such dependably excellent actors as Sean Connery and Ed Harris. Really enjoyed your reaction!
Black car in the chase is a Humvee, it's a civilian version of the military car the US Army uses. Of course, the military version is larger and heavily armored and stuff, made for combat - the civilian version is made to look cool, and to be an out-doorsy type terrain car.
Hi Emma, You can find Ed Harris in Apollo 13 and The Abyss and in a supporting role in Places in the Heart. Sean Connery has done everything. He was the first James Bond. I thought you might have seen him in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. He played Indiana's father. - Thomas
Emma and I doing weird things behind closed doors, we up all night making prank phone calls, playing PlayStation while enjoying KFC and ice coffee, watching RU-vid videos about alien abduction 😁
This shows Ed Harris at his best in my opinion. Sean Connery is playing his best role in a long time. Nick Cage has a slew of great films if you want one with some humour try the sorcerers apprentice, next is another good one
This film has a great cast. In regards to Ed Harris, I also do say that "Radio" (2003) is a great film and true story. Harris stars with Cuba Gooding Jr. A great and inspirational film. Finally, David Morse, who plays Major Tom Baxter in this film, also is brilliant as George Washington in the 2008 docudrama "John Adams" I highly recommend this great 7 part series. He stars with Paul Giamatti, who plays John Adams brilliantly. This series is about The Founding of the United States from the perspective of John Adams. A very historically accurate series. Co-Produced by Tom Hanks. Directed by Tom Hopper. It was released by HBO in 2008. Great reaction, Emma!
It makes no sense to me! He escaped Alcatraz by rolling under those gears? Sure....he can just reverse the timing in his head, but...when he escaped, HE WAS GOING THE OTHER WAY! He could have just used the door he used to let the SEALs in!
Technically General Hummel tried every legal way to get this situation sorted out, before resorting to a violent bluff. His men were ordered to do those missions. When a soldier gets his orders, he has to obey. But those were technically illegal missions, so they were left without support and died serving their country. But back home they cooked up some story about them to save face, and these men were not given any military honors or compensations. Hummel tried to legally set things right, but the legal way didn't work, so he took hostages, and asked money from an illegal arms fund. And in the end, not only did he not get justice for his 80 dead marines, he died having accomplished nothing, getting more of his brothers in arms killed, and the government got away with hiding their dirty secret for good. He truly is a tragic villain. He had a noble goal, but bad allies, and he should have known that under no circumstances does the government comply with terrorist demands.
Top favorite movies: The Count of Monte Cristo The World's Fastest Indian Dances with Wolves Boondocks Saints Men of Honor Last of the Mohicans I'd love to see your reactions
Emma, since you really liked Sean Connery in this film and many people consider this film an unofficial entry in the James Bond franchise with his character being James Bond in everything but name, you really should watch some early James Bond films with Sean in the role.
Hello Emma, here some Movies you should watch. CON AIR, MAN ON A LEDGE, THE ABYSS, GHOST RIDER and THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER. I don´t know if you have seen one of these Movies, but i like them. They are great. So stay safe, have Fun and we all see you in your next Video. Servus ! 😉

I don't care who denies it. I enjoy this film and Connery's 007 more when I think that these are the same characters. Connery's Bond would definitely have got a Californian girl pregnant in the 70's.
