Starring: Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage, Ed Harris
Directed By: Michael Bay
Synopsis: FBI chemical warfare expert Stanley Goodspeed (Nicolas Cage) is sent on an urgent mission with a former British spy, John Patrick Mason (Sean Connery), to stop Gen. Francis X. Hummel (Ed Harris) from launching chemical weapons on Alcatraz Island into San Francisco. Gen. Hummel demands $100 million in war reparations to be paid to the families of slain servicemen who died on covert operations. After their SEAL team is wiped out, Stanley and John deal with the soldiers on their own.

I saw it first time when I was a kid and watched it again a few weeks ago. The 90’s were the best for action films . This one , terminator 2, the last Of the boy Scouts and die hard with a vengeance are all classics as far as I’m concerned

You wanna know some curious facts for this film: ° Tony Scott, the man who directed "Top Gun" and "Days of Thunder" was considered for this project. ° Arnold Schwarzenegger was considered for the role of Mason, before Sean Connery got involved. ° The film was nominated by the Academy Awards in the category of Best Sound Mixing, but it was defeated by "The English Patient"

The Rock, Bad Boys, Die Hard With a Vengeance, The Negotiator, Terminator 2, Kiss The Girls, Under Siege, Crimson Tide, Metro, True Lies, Eraser, and Speed are some of the truly great action films of the 90s! What a decade for film and television. Nothing like it since imo.

It sounds like Hans Zimmer’s first attempt at what would be the iconic music to the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I know Klaus is credited as composer for the first, but Hans Zimmer was the sound producer for that movie. And Hans was composer for Pirates 2-5.

I honestly believe that Ed Harris is a very underrated actor. He has never given a poor performance and he can play in any type of movie from comedy, to drama, tear jerkers, and action. My favourite of his was Paris Trout which also starred Dennis Hopper which a lot of people over looked but I'd highly recommend it.

The Transformers movies really killed his reputation. When you watch The Rock and the first Bad Boys you see real skill and passion there. If he never did those trash Transformers films and had sought out more quality films to make his name, he'd be a respected action director on par with Tony Scott.

this is one of my all time favorite movie of Nicolas Cage, after National treasures. been searching this for years, lol. The only thing stuck in my head is Nicolas cage and that scene where he caught one of the chemical balls, that i forgot how many big shot were in this movie. like, whoa.

i always loved these movie props from the 90s. the rail gun from eraser, and these green balls in the rockets from the rock. supposedly toxic that can disintegrate your body but held together by jello casings. i wish these old movies got AI enhanced re releases
