Too bad C.C. Deville couldn't play it live lol I seen Poison 3 times and he butchered it every single time, that guy is a hack. However, Vito and Nuno are legit players and everyone should check them out. Vito was so distinctly unique in his style and writing, it's a shame he walked away from music. Then there's Nuno, a guy that possesses super human abilities, one of the greatest players to ever pick up a guitar.

Brett Michaels wrote this song after calling up his girlfriend and hearing another guy's voice in the background. You have to check out the official music video for Poison's Somethin' To Believe In. Brett wrote the song after finding out over Christmas that the band's bodyguard and good friend passed away. He was staying at his mom's and wrote about some of life's injustices. The video has a special part about his friend. Poison has lots of good time fun songs, but they also have many serious songs. All of their songs are relatable and written from the heart.

There was a period in the early 90’s where rock went to rock ballads. It was kinda cool at the time (especially if you were on the dating scene). Looking back on it now, the rock bands/producers were trying stay alive while rap and grunge was on the rise. This still is and always will be one of my favs. Great reaction!

Every time I hear the Chorus I am reminded of a poem I read in my British Lit class in High School. I don't remember the name nor who wrote it. But It was about how 2 lovers died. They were buried together, and on their grave grew the first rose. The beauty of the petals represented her, and thorns were him protecting that beauty. I wish I could find that poem.

Okay, here's my theory about roses & thorns and nights & dawns. The guys are rock and rollers. They live at night, they're often drinking and partying and having fun.... but, when the dawn comes it's "back to reality".... so the rose is positive and the thorn is negative..Here, the night is positive and the dawn is negative (because the dawn represents all the difficulties of reality)
