If you're looking for a good visual mod, definitely get ReStock, because all the rocket parts just look so good with that.

IMO the only drawback for ReStock is that I personally don't like the Waterfall configs as much. And that's all the negative stuff I can really say about it.

Oddly, I do not know why no one has added a VR mod of sorts for longer habitability - even in the real world no one discusses this much.

Huh? Oh... Do you mean with life support mods, a vr system should increase habitability? I absolutely agree with that. I've lived in tiny one-room homes, spending almost all my time in there because I wasn't well enough to work, but I was fine so long as I had worlds to explore and things to create on my computer. I didn't even need 3D, a 23" monitor was enough (but larger would have been a little better). There might be a catch in that I also needed people to interact with online, but Kerbal communication is not subject to speed of light limits so they could tie in to Kerbin's internet.

you probably know that but for anyone who doesn't know, the rendezvous window from Kerbal Engineer Redux shows you the current phase angle and the transfer phase angle for your selected target. it even works in the tracking station and it works for everything, not only planets and moons but also asteroids or far out vehicles or what ever. probably one of the most useful features of the entire mod.

That reminds me of the small issue with the film where in the hanger there was a different engine on the rocket than during the actual launch

I'm really not involved with KSP at all (literally just mr Lowne), but I think it would be so cool if you could build your own Vehicle Assembly space station. You'd have to make it out of multiple launches of course, but to be able to build a rocket and launch it from an orbiting platform rather than Kerbin

yeeess, I think you could balance it by having to make 1 successful 'resupply' mission to unlock total freedom/creative mode. With options to turn this on or off I basically want to build the Kuat Drive Yards, if you're familiar with SW

You need to try Nigori Sake! (Nigori just means unfiltered) It is served cold, cloudy white, and unexpectedly delicious! 'Sho Chiku Bai' is my personal favorite.

Matt, on PC KSP, you should launch a rocket (a full rocket I.e. a saturn 5 to the mun .) Along with a launchpad and then launch the rocket somewhere else. Kind of like a ghetto, Stock mun base.

Simple mod suggestion: you might want to try out Kerbal Restock. This mod gives a nice updated look to everything in KSP, and overall makes things fit and look better together.

You should do a "save your disaster save game" where people send in their kerbal save file where one of their missions to do something (say a Mun landing) and it's gone wrong for them and you have to save it.

You could do a let's play with principia, I think once you learn it it'll be a really nice way to not get bored of the game. I myself have spent hours just spinning in an unstable Ike orbit seeing when I'll fly off. Sadly I wish the UI for the maneuver node planner was a bit nicer

The thing with spaceflight is you can save incredible amounts of fuel by making maneuvers at the best place and time. I can't put it all in a comment, but watch all the tutorials you can and take the in-game tutorials too.

What about doing a Carrer mode run with the interstellar mod? And the one that adds more plants to the Kerbal system AND additional solar systems? Would surely be fun to watch and follow (as im trying it myself and am encountering a lot of challenges xd) Since well..i remember you having said sometime ago youd wanna do a Carrer mode maybe, why not spice it up with future tech etc?

@Matt Lowne At 2:30 you complained about being unable to record the audio with other audio playing. If you use a software mixer like VoiceMeeter, you can have multiple audio channels coming from separate programs! I use it to record my games while listening to music (which isn’t recorded). I hope this was of help! :)

Sound advice, (pun, uh... restrospectively intended,) but it makes me laugh at modern operating systems. I remember when operating system audio interfaces were simple, but if you installed the right software mixer, you could have sound from multiple apps. Then Linux got PulseAudio, widely derided for being stupidly complicated, Win10 copied PulseAudio, (why?) so now everything is complicated and yet you *still* need a software mixer to get sound from multiple programs!

Video: Physical comedy! 🤣 So basically, Matt, when you decide to talk about what's on screen, it turns out there's nothing to say, but when you start talking about something else, the action on screen gets interesting. Murphy's law finds new application! 🤣 I tried the new transfer planner once, found out I'd have to waste fuel levelling my orbit when I needed an inclined one anyway, and never touched it again. Unexpected cat! Unexpected catwheel!

Idk if Matt will see this, but optimize your shadow play settings, mute the computer volume, and than re-enable it. That's always worked for me when I had issues with ksp sound recording.
