Hi. I am a Christian content creator on this channel and my backup channel- Truth Triumphs. My Rode is coming via Amazon today. I have been using a Blue Snowball for several years, and I wanted to see if this will sound better in my singing (and I am a female voice) since I sing high notes as well as low notes. I got a Mackie EM 91CU to try, but I didn't like it straight out of the box. You sounded great around 3:11 with just plugging in the Rode, and I am hoping that will work for me since I am not using any mixing software. Thanks and God bless you and your family.
Great video Robert! One question, when you connect the mic via USB-C isn't the sound very quiet? I have the same setup as you going into the Mac Studio. I had to max out the Input on the System Preference and also to +63db, BUT still cant hit -6 db when recording... am I doing something wrong or I got a bad mic? I couldn't find answer anywhere :(
Also if i connect the microphoneto the front usb c on my mac studio, the microphone will not pickup any sound even the the input menu shows the mic....
When the first showed off the new pop filter I thought it was great, not anymore. It’s too big. The mic itself is the best looking mic available. I can’t cover that up.
Good Evening Sir, If I buy Rode's pod mic and universal volt audio interface. So will I get professional quality? I want to record my written poetry at home and I want crisp and studio quality. Will this setup be ok? I am not getting good advice from anyone. Please tell me which mic and audio interface should I buy?
Sorry to hear you're not getting good advice. It's really bad people are not helpful about what makes good audio. I had the same issue and end up experimenting with mixed results. For some reason people with good audio never reveal the process for crispy sound. I imagine it's to do with the mix. Don't expect to plug and play with a good mic and Interface. The secret we are unaware of is between applying sound plugins and the mix. I'm still experimenting with my 4th mic...
