Hey Thomas, a friendly rules reminder: you cannot heal with two different heart cards in the same room. From the rulebook: "You may only use one health potion each turn, even if you pull two." That complicates the game quite a bit.

For the red face cards not being used maybe they can be used as the player’s class. The king could increase your weapon’s attack by +1. The queen could be used to increase your health cards by +1. The jack could allow the player to redraw 1 card from the room, and still play that room instead of skipping the whole room (only once per room). The ace could give you an additional 5 health if you are defeated by a monster, but then you would discard the ace’s ability for the rest of the game.

This was really cool! I was curious when you mentioned it in your livestream. I’m looking forward to giving it a try!

If you are finding this game too difficult, keep the 2 jokers in the deck, then use them as a parry attack card = they do not stack on your weapon and you do not take damage from the defeated monster

10:44 "Playing a second potion in succession nullifies the effect of the second potion." Doesn't that apply here? Are you allowed to play both, the 2 and the 3 of hearts?

Is there a way to make this two-player? I was thinking of doubling the deck and health and allowing for 2 weapons at once. I played it this new way with 4 rooms and found it too easy. I bumped it to 5 rooms - still having to clear all but 1 room before adding more rooms - and it was very similar to the single-player version. I can't find anywheres online that supports the two-player variant. It's definitely my new favorite game!
