I would say they're a great thing for anyone to master. Imagine Luffy using Shigun while in third gear or Robin being able to use Rankyaku from any of the limbs she can sprout, or someone as tricky to fight as Nami or Usopp being made even more elusive through Shoru. The only people who probably wouldn't be all that better off learning them would be pure swordsmen like Zoro who wouldn't really attack with anything other than their swords, but even then the defensive and movement enhancing Rokushiki techniques would still be very useful to someone like him.
@@MoostachedSaiyanPrince Yeah, if we're being honest, Soru and Geppou are the most useful techniques just for the extra movement options. Tekkai is also useful when you can train it to Jyabura's level.
@@MoostachedSaiyanPrince soru, geppo and kamisori would be great for zoro, he'll be capable to blitz his opponents and really good for his swordmanship. imagine if zoro used kamisori alongside his best technique against his first fight with mihawk, the best swordsman in the world would have recognized zoro as a damn monster of a rival. and sanji...he literally ascends to yonko right hand with haki and rokushiki, even without shigan sanji would have moped the floor with anyone he fought, maybe even be equal to doffy at 100%. if sanji knew rokushiki, he would have nearly murdered his father and blitz the fuck out of him.
This is why I love the Enies Lobby arc. The the fights were a fair balance. No OP Devil Fruit. Most of CP9 are Zoans. Fights aren't just Haki Contests. It's an all brawl for everyone.
Lucci:"A martial art greater than anything you can imagine" Luffy: *LITERALLY ADEPTS SOME OF THE TECHNIQUES WITH HIS RUBBER POWERS* Lucci: *WAIT THAT"S ILLEGAL*
There are 2 long range attacks of sanji frit assorti with diable jambe which is used at thriller bark and poele frie spectre which is used at fishman Island but still he havent learned rankyaku at all
Luffy -> Soru Sanji -> Geppo Zoro -> Rankyaku (super strong long range slashes) Usopp -> Kami-e ( a sniper needs to dodge the enemys attacks) Franky -> Tekkai (Iron body + Tekkai + armament haki = ultimate defense) Robin -> shigan ( you know why) It would be cool if franky could use rokougan to make a super strong combo with coup de vent
you know the kami-e was a good idea but wasnt utilized all that well so i guess it was a good idea *on paper* but it does raise the question how did kaku get the idea of using shigan with his face i guess *no one NOSE* also just for the record khalifa is stated to be a full rokushiki master but she was never shown to use tekkai so maybe she should just admit that she isn't a master and *come clean*
Tekkai hardens your muscles but I doubt you can harden giant boobs like khalifa had so it'd still leave a big part of her front side pretty much vulnerable
Although it never told in stories, I believe that Shigan is the advanced technique of Tekkai. By focusing the hardness of Tekkai in one point, it can be used to attack like a bullet. To support this, Jabra is the only one who use(or can use) 10-finger Shigan, because he is the only one that can move while in Tekkai mode.
I believe Coby will be the one who can utilize this technique better than rob Lucci because of his observation haki. Also he could be a lightning bolt with his eye scar and all.
I wonder what a haki infused tekai would look like, or maybe we might see someone use Soru as an attack (Kicking someone 10 or more times in the blink of an eye would be a fairly devastating attack)
It was interesting to see this with the CP9 since made them like a ninja mixed with secret agent feel (at least until be got our real One Piece Ninjas)
When I was watching the enies lobby arc it was playing daily as a replay on one of the channels in Japan me and my friends loved the rokushiki that we would play around as the CP characters and the rokushiki. Ah good ol days
personally think robin would be a beast after rokushiki training. she could generate hundreds of arms to perform shigan or multiple legs to fire off a barrage of rankyaku. 100% missed a chance with that one oda.
Soru: basically super speed that looks like a flicker, then teleportation.(kicking the ground 10 times in the blink of an eye) Geppou: moon jump, stepping and jumping on air Shigan: finger gun, unleashing a burst of pressure from a single finger when in contact with an opponent, much like a bullet wound, lots a possible variants, not limited to fingers tho Rankyaku: unleashing a pressurized blade of wind from kicking, possibly chops as well and weapons, and even other body parts Tekkai: Iron body, to suddenly increase one composition to the level of hardened black iron, can not move body "hardening ones muscle till they replicate iron", can be used in a lesser version for moveability Kami-e: makes the body to flexible, to the point of acting like a mere sheet of paper, dodging attacks, very flexible technic, to the point of being able to be developed into excelleration Special, must have mastered first six, Ryoukyougan: a noncontact must of pressure attack, high feed back that wears the user down
Is anyone else hoping these make an appearance again, I was always confused if some of these were early forms of haki and I know Sanji can use skywalk but you'd think with all the training he does Zoro would be able to use tekkai or something. I don't know maybe they'll never be seen again since the focus seems to be developing haki but I thought it'd be cool to show a mastery of everything One Piece has to offer.
In the order I believe they're taught: Shigan/Finger Pistol - Literally just a really fast poke, but it's the most fundamental technique to the entire art. It teaches you the mindset, how to treat the body as a weapon and act without hesitation (because no sane person would try poking solid objects with their finger at full speed). Kami-e/Paper Art - Teaches physical conditioning for flexibility and the principle of relaxation. A relaxed mind and body will be faster and even stronger than a tense one, and the best way to receive an attack is to NOT. Tekkai/Iron Body - Teaches physical conditioning for strength and the principle of tension. Sudden, explosive tension from a relaxed state is the best way to generate power, and as demonstrated by Shaolin monks can make you INCREDIBLY resilient. Soru/Shave - Teaches rapidity, or the ability to additively increase applied force through multiple, rapid strikes. A principle seen in Wing Chun, adapted primarily for use as a movement technique but with potential offensive applications. Geppo/Moonwalk - Teaches explosive power, to the point of compressing and jumping off the air. Not much else to say, really. Rankyaku/Tempest Kick - Teaches projection, simply combining the explosiveness of Geppo with the whipping motion of a limb in order to fire off the air compressed by the strike. Rokuogan/Six King Gun - Acheive the proper mindset. Relax the muscles, only to suddenly Tense them. Rapidly deliver Explosive power through both hands, or even each of the fingers. Project the force forwards through the air in a shock wave, dealing internal damage. The ultimate culmination of the principles taught in the previous Six Power.
@@mothichorror446 Shigan is the most fundamental, but probably also the most difficult to actually master and make use of in combat. There's a reason Rob Lucci specialises in it.
This set of techniques were one of the main reasons I got into one piece. Been hooked ever since Water7 and got interested enough to watch from the beginning simply bc I saw Luffy vs Blueno back in college. Thanks Oda!
Damn coby that strong? Dude got haki, mastery of the six AND Rokougan? Damn he might actually be able to defeat hancock with the help of the fleet. Give this man's a strong devil fruit and he'll be closer to his admiral dream
Same with kami-e. Visual haki is superior is almost every way. Except for maybe making you lighter. But it seems that people can work around that like luffy with snakeman similar to rob lucci's faster hybrid form.
Before they entered the new world or learned haki the protagonists reached a level allowing them to overcome masters of tekkai. Perhaps any significant person in the new world is capable of overcoming tekkai. I think that's what made it ineffective. However i suspect that garp is a natural master of tekkai and that's why his punches always hurt so much
i still think someone could throw their body at someone, then tekkai to make their body like a huge wrecking ball, but maybe thats one of the few applications tekkai could be useful when u already have armament haki
Remember you can “run out” of haki or become unable to use it after a period of time. Once that happens you have to wait for it, in that meantime you can switch over to tekkai so that you at least have some form of defense. So it is useful especially in long drawn out fights when your willpower is diminished
I'm very happy that you finally covered this awesome fighting style! Great job btw! 👍 Also even tho I said this a bunch of times in the past already, seeing the entire style itself being utilized with Robin's DF would be AMAZING as hell!!
It would be interesting to see if someone could mix the two. If anyone could, I would guess Coby has the best chance since he already has observation haki along with the Rokushiki techniques.
Shinjojin they can oda said that if you’re able to use haki you’re gonna be promoted to cp0 which lucci was so imagine how strong he is now!!!! That’s why Garp is so strong he used all of these with haki
If you ask me, Luffy's enemies are lucky that the only Rokushiki technique he stole from CP9 was Shoru. Imagine if he had taken Shigan and was able to basically shoot you while unarmed from any distance that he can punch, and then later combined that with Third Gear and/or Haki later on down the line. Or if he picked up the Rankyaku and was able to cut through a really massive area by combining it with his Gumo Gumo Whip or again, using it with third gear to make the attack as thick as his foot in that form to make it really tough to dodge. And if he learned Tekkai, it would make it really tough for any blades to harm him unless they were able to cut steel like Zorro, at least pre-time skip, since I'm not sure that Tekkai can actually do anything to help against a Haki using swordsman.
@@kingbura8364 People who haven't watched DBZA: "Ok, i feel like your referencing something and i don't get it and thats not fair. So im really going to need that time machine right now so i can go back and re-do this entire conversation,
@@jermainebrown8604 like shiratori said, hard to explain. From the way that i see it, he tucks part of his legs inside his body and launches it out at such speeds that create large air pressure, so he repeats that process over and over again at ridiculous speeds, thus replicating the effects of flying.
@@fetchmetheresouls4851 so Luffy can fly. I'd you can propel and sustain yourself in the air with no other assistance then you have the ability too fly
FUCKING FINALLLY I've wanted to learn more bout this awesome ass martial art. Is it possible to make a video about black leg? Fuckin love my boy sanjis' martial art
choppers next powerup should be either haki or at least 2 of these techniques . I can see him utilizing geppo and soro in a few of his forms . Especially in his monster form the dude could fly the sunny everywhere like the reindeer he is😂
The Rokushiki techniques are the entire power system of one piece on display. every ranged cutting attack, a human can do with the hands, their feet, a stick, and a sword every quickspeed event, a human can do skywalks are for humans Becoming coated in haki for iron body was a human idea and even the rokugan, the first ever RYUO HAKI SHOCKWAVE was a human ability anyone can learn. When Luffy met the agents at water 7 and ennies lobby he thanked them for literally ENLIGHTENING HIM on mankind's best weapons sandbox ever CP 0, guardians of The Gates.... SUCK at gatekeeping. They tried to punish one of their own for misusing these powers "and being bad" with them in such a way they thought it was a disgrace, while accidentally teaching the crackhead pirate everything he needs to know about this power system IF Don Krieg had learned this power system fresh off of Skypiea after shoving dials in his armor, he would actually be unstoppable.
Shigan is probably my favorite. Love the ability to poke someone so hard that I stab them. Not sure where it would be good in my realm of study of Marine Biology, but I'll find a use.
Willpower. And IMO I think it was more of a tie since both Luffy and Lucci completely collapsed after that final jet gatling gun. It definitely wasnt a sure victory like against Enel or Crocodile.
You forgot to mention "Life Return" or whatever the hair guys technique is. I know it doesn't count but like, it's basically just a 7th power. Like Lucci uses it so clearly it's not only that dude who can use it. I'm I just confused? 😂
Finally, some information about the Rokushiki Technique that I can understand. The wiki is useless, but your reliable, now I can make that Fanfiction book I wanted to make
rokushiki exists in blox fruits, ROKUOGAN: godhuman c move (sixth realm gun), lankyaku: spiraling kick (leo x move), soru: body flicker (leo f move), shigan (barrage), superhuman z
Let me explain the most complicated one in my opinion which is soru Ik the wiki says they kick the ground atleast 10 times but how? Well they jump towards the direction they want to go then while midair they kick the ground 10 times in a blink of an i with as much force as 10 average strength kicks
The life return series. Life return absorb made him fat and the life return digest makes him skinny. The one that Lucci used is known as Life Return Fighting Form.
Surely the perfect defence in one piece is a lunarian body with the skills of using tekkai, armament haki and busoshoku haki while having Marcos Phoenix devil fruit.
roku gun adaptation with new haki technique will be used by luffy against kaido mark my words in few months come here and tell me i was right 🤩🤙 by the way hold the line Amc
To be honest the way this looks having a devil fruit is not that much of a advantage in this is coming from someone that watch the show when he was a kid and is just now picking it dack up in their 20s unless you got a rare devil fruit it seems like you can learn how to be a badass without it
