Glad you enjoyed Valleyfair. I really wish CF would not ignore Valleyfair. At this point, I wish VF would become an independent park and separate from CF since I get the impression CF clearly doesn't care about VF at all.
My home park when I lived in Minnesota over fifteen years ago. Lived 20 minutes away. It is kind of sad there hasn’t been any major roller coaster additional since I was last there.
I'll always love ValleyFair, as it was my home park when I was a kid. The Corkscrew was the first coaster I rode that took me upside down and Wild Thing was my first Hypercoaster (and first real "BIG" coaster) when it opened in 1996. Sadly, VF is limited on how high they can build attractions by the FAA, thanks to the close proximity of nearby Flying Cloud airport, so a Giga will likely never happen for them. Power Tower (their S&S drop tower) was originally planned to be considerably taller, but the FAA wouldn't allow it. Rumors were flying for a B&M Invert going in back in 2006 or so, but it never happened (likely due to Steel Venom, which opened in 2003). I think they could use a good multilaunch coaster with inversions and a good B&M with inversions. That would be the perfect icing on the otherwise delicious cake that is VF!
Man I was spoiled living only a few miles away from Valleyfair. And for a lot of my life I was too scared to go on some of the biggest rides there. Eventually conquered that though (aside from Steel Venom). Been years since I've been though.
High Roller in rows 3 or the very back make it my favorite ride at Valleyfair. Yes, those are wheel seats, but it's worth it for the airtime. It's not even very rough, far less rough than any row on Renegade.
I will say that as long as Steel Venom is around, the holding brake will be around. Steel Venom will be around until parts are no longer possible to get or make anymore.
I appreciate the love for my home park. Valley Fair is like a second home for me. But we really need a new coaster. My dream is that we get a new Vekoma or an RMC Raptor, but I doubt that’ll ever happen. I’m actually kinda worried that Cedar Fair is gonna close this park in a couple of years. I went like 10 times this summer and there was never anyone there. Plus, it seems weird that Dorney and WOF would get something new and not us. If a new coaster isn’t announced for next year, I’m pretty sure the park is toast. They’d probably ship Steel Venom to Carowinds or Kings Island and expand Soak City to make the entire place into an enormous water park. 15:18 Also, it’s crazy, but I know exactly the Renegade Ride Op you were talking about here
I really wish they’d get the hold brake fixed for possessed, back when it was at Geauga lake as superman, that was one of my favorite coasters. The hold break is so exhilarating, especially way back when it was brand new. When I was young, I had never experienced anything like that.
Deja Vu was always broken down, in the many trips to Six Flags Great America I’ve enjoyed, not once did I get to ride it. I will say that the last time I was there in August 2019, they had a couple newer rides, and that place is always great. Raging Bull is still my #1 Have yet to make it to Valley Fair, but it looks fun and I hope to soon. Thanks for the video. Cheers!
I want a new major coaster for Valleyfair so so bad... If not a B&M, Valleyfair would be a great candidate for a modern Vekoma thrill coaster. After that, they could also add in a Wild Moose to replace the Arrow mouse.
Honestly Valleyfair needs a family coaster. Wonder what you guys would think of Wild Thing if the trims were turned off. It has run with it off before. I also think Mad Mouse did once run with multiple trains running back in the day.
I visited in 2022 and unfortunately, Steel Venom was closed the day I went. I rode every other coaster minus the kiddie coaster. So I already have an excuse to go back.
I just went to VF for the first time this past week and I’m appalled at how neglected this park is by CF. It needs so much and could be so much better if they gave it the love they do for KI, Caro, and CP Mad Mouse needs to be removed, it’s awful. Retrack Excalibur Wild Thing, and Renegade. Omg the track separation on Renegade is awful, if you stand in line and around it’s plaza you can see the space between the steel track sections. They could use 3-4 more flats throughout the park. They only have 2 merch stores (at the front) that I saw. And they could use a B&M (or Vekoma) inverted coaster so bad, put the station in front of Wild Thing and have it run in the open plot along the road out towards Excalibur and back. And combine the mad mouse area, Casino, and the spot beside barefoot beach and put in a good Vekoma looping coaster.
Would you say Renegade is too intense for someone's first real "thrill" coaster? The only coaster I've ridden is mad mouse type rides, and the notoriously weird rollercoaster at Marineland as a kid.
I would say wait and do some others before Renegade- not because of its layout, but because its not a very smooth ride. I don't think its an accurate representation of what all roller coasters feel like.
I really don't want a B&M invert there. If it's going to be an inversion machine, I'd much rather see something like an RMC raptor that would still pull some good airtime amongst the loops.
Thank you stating the obvious..its due timee..for our Invert..hastag vf invert 25' 💯💯👀👀😁😁 we're sooo overdue its not even funny anymore....it's actually getting ridiculous.....so let's hope next year is finally our year...💯💯👌👌
Peter wins the best rollercoaster hair, the best looking dude (cute, nice smile) and sexy (facial hair) of any dude on any rollercoaster channel!! I wonder why his shirt kept changing throughtout the video...first pink t shirt, then a light blue button up shirt with dark blue designs all over the shirt. Then back to pink shirt, then back to blue shirt? Was it Peter or does he have a twin??
What's the purpose of riding kiddie coasters? What is the benefit of counting them as credits? I understand credits but just riding any and everything doesn't make sense to me. I'm a coaster enthusiast but I just ride more adult oriented rollercoasters.
For me, and most enthusiasts, there’s a certain appeal to riding rides that will be stupid or boring if you ride with friends. It’s a good bonding experience.
