Keith, by most accounts, is not the most technically skilled guitar player of all time, or anywhere even close, but the number of unforgettable, legendary riffs he has written and played make him far and away the GOAT in my book.
Pienso lo mismo de Keith, el genio de los Stones con sus memorables Riffs. Creo que primero hizo la música ...sus Riffs y luego le pusieron la letra a innumerables temas. Mi idolo entre tantos guitarristas es Jeff Beck qepd.
@@tonydeeble6959ain’t no doubt bout it. I’ve always said I can fill a stadium of AMAZING musicians that can play literally anything …. guys like Mick Taylor , Randy Rhoads, etc. but could maybe fill a dugout of guys that could write the songs/riffs. Rare indeed. Cliffs: Technical skills are common … songwriting skill a gift from the gods.
He is now 😮 definitely not in 1986 when I saw them. I think his name was Mark Taylor 🤷♀️ He's the one who taught him this sound. Ron Wood and Bill Wyman fell into playing this way. I think 🤔 when I saw them Keith was supposedly going to Mexico for blood transfusions 🤷♀️✌️❤️🌼
G*dDANG Charlie... when he comes in at the start of this song, it sounds like thunder, even though it's not even a heavy song! He got such an amazing sound out of his kit (and his hands). RIP good sir.
Very well said. You're so right. When I saw them live, I was amazed by Charlie's power and sound. All from that little drum kit. His groove was unique.
The Rolling Stones, truly the greatest rock ‘n’ roll band of all time! 56 years they have been performing gigs. We mustn’t forget Brian Jones or Keith Taylor. I was part of Altamont which turned into a real zoo.
@@johncarter665 well let’s not forget about base player Bill Wyman it’s not the stones without Bill the stones should of hung it up after steel wheels did no Wyman no Stones
@@matthewcrich5951 Bill is The Wizard of Oz. While everybody else is distracting you with the show, he's way over there behind the curtain, laying down the groove that the whole thing hangs on.
@@blondeboywilson9221 if you want to hear an awesome remix of the album version, search for “Gimme Shelter(bass tone -remastered) on KnightRiderKARR channel. There are also a couple of isolated bass versions out there, but that remastered one keeps everything but with an emphasis on the bass. Check it out, I like it better than the album mix.
@@helenpellegrino9104 I'm not too sure if your comment is meant to be taken in a negative sense in that you are saying that is what male Rock fans would be looking for but it is really meant as a comment on a *Classic Rock* band lineup with Black girls as backing singers.
I saw them at Atlantic City and they played this during The Steel Wheels Express Urban Jungle Tour. I think that this is from the same tour as I see Bill Wyman. What a GREAT live version! Today's music has NO soul compared to this.
A good old blast from the past, even I say so myself . What you see is what you got for the price of a ticket . A working blues band if ever there was one
Ronnie Woods e Keith Richards são fenomenais, estilos únicos na História do Rock. Sensacionais Ronnie Woods e Richards: A melhor e mais performática dupla de guitarristas de todos os tempos!
Got one thing to say, these guys can still rock, after all these years. And Mick Jagger still, has it going on, even after all these years as well. And still belt them out, like no other
🇯🇵🇯🇵🇬🇧🇺🇸🇮🇹 For me....THIS IS THE "BEST VERSION EVER" OF GIMME SHELTER (MASTERPIECE❗❗❗❗🎼). EVENI WITHOUT THE EXTRA-ORDINARY VOICE AND PRESENCE OF LISA FISCHER....THE SOUND IS MANY MORE..."FULL"......LONG LIFE TO THE R S 🎸🎤🎼❗❗❗❗😲😲😲❗❗❗❗
Il y a rien à dire les Rolling Stones sont un des groupes meilleurs parmi les meilleurs ,toujours présent des années, après années. Respect.🙋💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐🦉
I recognize Jagger's dialogue before they start this song from the ending of 'Sympathy for the Devil' from 'Flashpoint'. This show is from February 26, 1990.
@@onnakeys2443 Corona virus. My lovely daughter bought me n her tickets for my 65th bd . We're in Michigan and concert had been postponed till the fall I think. Stupid virus.
