Ryan's Babe is like somebody wrote 20 different short stories and then fell down dropping the papers and the pages got all mixed together. Also, the person who wrote the short stories was insane and had a urine fetish.

I was drinking coffee when I saw this. Hot coffee. I was taking a sip when -- "YOU LOOK LIKE A PIECE OF SHIT!" It was worth the mess.

Someone needs to make a shirt with a toilet scene with Ryan taking a piss while Jason angrily behind him shouting Ryan just go home 😂😂😂

Fun facts! They filmed this without sound (to save money) and that's why the dub sounds so awkward - every line was recorded after the fact by random people. As for the history of this? It was shot in 1999 in Central Canada (not "way up there") by Ray Ramayya, PhD, and was shown on domestic TV there for a bit before vanishing into the ether. It was eventually uncovered by Tyler Baptist, who worked for a production company at the time. He'd actually auditioned for the role of Young Ryan, coincidentally enough! Discovering a screener while clearing out a box of unwanted educational VHS tapes, he took the film home and watched it... and IMMEDIATELY knew the world needed to experience it. A few years later, he co-founded Videonomicon (an independent film distributor in Canada) and unleashed the film onto the world, but even then it didn't REALLY pick up traction until RedLetterMedia watched it.

The story about the friend rolling down the hill while pissing all over himself almost had me rolling off my couch while pissing myself. Outstanding episode, I’m glad you gave this movie a chance. Definitely a jewel of a SBIG movie.

I didn't know there was a Tommy Wiseau school for dubbing and dialogue, but now I do.

I think I cracked the code of Ryan's Babe. It represents the fever dream of an ill Canadian man with a full bladder who can't wake up.

I like to think that characters in Lovecraft stories have the same look of uncomprehending horror and bafflement that you all get at certain points during these sessions.

I'm so glad to see "Ryan's Babe" finally getting some exposure as the completely batshit experience it is! Maybe even crazier than "The Room". (Full disclosure: I did the crappy box art for this release by Videonomicon, and also came up with that tag line.)

5:00 Yeah Jason that's how my face looked most of the time when I watched this film. The other time was spent laughing. You've left out my favorite line which is "Ryan! I was looking everywhere for you! I knew you'd be here!". And with the blond hooker there is a side story of somebody getting sick which is introduced AND RESOLVED in the same scene, that was pretty efficient storywriting as well. When you show it to Dave, make him take a sip everytime Ryan pees and 2 for him getting drugged ^^

When the trucker handed him that bottle I was 100% certain it's because he had to piss again. What a wild ride.

I'm so happy to see you guys react to this one. I never get over just how mystifying this movie is. The ending alone is enough to make a person's brain combust, forget the rest of it.

Was nearly in tears laughing at Erin's reaction when she hit Tea-Kettle, I said, " I think Erin is broken" about 5 seconds before Jason did! We used to do this kinda thing in the 90's, with many beers at hand, and some great laughs to be had. I had done a job for a local Video shop, and I got 300 obscure Tapes (ones that didn't rent out much, if at all) as part of the payment... have been binging on your reactions, thanks for the great laughs!
