Amen on that brother (sister?). I could also experience this many times. Ropes do nothing but bind. Why does one need to climb up? HE came Down to the cross... ישוע יהוה
This is a horrible HORRIBLE story. If God was really interested in helping the climber, then he would have told him WHY he should cut the rope. That he was only a few feet from safety, and that the rope was holding him back. Instead, this "God" was more interested in "testing" this man's blind faith and obedience in Him, than the man's well being. Doesn't sound like a God of love to me.
And still he would not have believed a word as he could not see nor touch. Should God REALLY have said? Better to ask him if he BELIEVES than to invite hm directly to DOUBT, don't you agree?
