Thanks again and again Sir James for ur dedication to some of the greatest music from the era when i was a teen and a bit before. You've boosted my playing through the stratosphere!!!
This is an automated message to answer the questions that are going to be posted. 1. He uses a Peavey Vypyr 100w modeling amp. Buy one and plug a guitar into it. 2.The guitar effects are built in to the amp. If its sounds like a chorus is used, set amp to chorus ect. Easy stuff. 3. Videos are recorded with a camera mic and music is played from an iPad in the room. 4. He sleeps and eats food like everyone else. 5. He learns the songs then plays it. (A guitar player or musician puts work into learning chords and scales and finds that most songs contain those same chords and scales.) 6. He doesn't use a strap because he is sitting.
My girlfriend at the time bought me PG when it came out, and when I got home and listened, it blew my mind. I got right to work learning songs like The Rover, Custard Pie, The Wanton Song, Trampled Under Foot, Sick Again. Every day for a year, my neighbors really enjoyed that album.
I bet they did. I would've thoroughly enjoyed being ur neighbor. I've played for years yet struggled. I'm sure ur help would've helped me tremendously.
Where were you and the internet when I was struggling so hard to please the chicks lol. I’m an old man now, but my love of playing zeppelin is pure. I am great full for your in site and will start practicing now for the right reasons. ?
one of my favorite Riffs... James your playing is spot on!!! Completely bummed out theres no March madness!!! No NHL either... gonna be a long rest of winter and spring.
I just watched your last privettricker video and I am so glad you are taking the stance of a no negative zone. It is such a beatdown to read comments that are just ridiculous critiques and stupid, petty comments that serve no purpose. I'm also glad that you're still doing videos.
Thats cool you got the flanger thing going. The last guy didnt. I ended up tying my phone to a string and spinning it around real slowly. It sounded OK. But I got a headache trying to watch the video and horizontal headbang too.
Great job James. Led Zep freak since 70s. Play drums and guitar. Top 5 Zep song for me. Saw them in '77 at the Garden. Page is brilliant and Mister Bonham and JPJ absolutely refuse to leave their posts on that stomping rhythm. 👍
Sounds great, really enjoy your vids. I'm the drummer on this track ( with PfoZ) . That singer is dreadful, he used our instrumental but he's not affiliated with People's Front of Zeppelin. 😣
Good afternoon, JJ...Another great Page ditty. I love his chord progressions. I got a question. Are you playing with the use of foot-pedals straight to an amp or are you may be using a DAW with different plug-ins? Your levels are so good on your videos. Could you share what if any amps and or DAW programs you prefer? Thanks. I hope you and your wife are well. These are sure strange times we be living in.
I just plug into a Peavey Vypyr 100 and play the backing music through an iPad with external speakers. Sometimes the mix is good, sometimes not so good. It's a crap shoot.
@@jamesjames9275 you might want to check out the fender GT series . It didn't get a good review but honestly for practice it's amazing. It's Bluetooth and wifi comparable and you can play all your backing tracks through the amp plus control the amp from your phone. I honestly was shocked it got bad reviews cause it pretty much duplicates every good 60-70s fender amp they ever made and tone as well. I grabbed the gt40 and got it for about 300 . Well worth the money . That's Canadian by the way so that's like a nickel American.
@@jamesjames9275 at one thing I find when you do it like that super high-power stereo does not transfer well..something like your iPad with some external speakers or even a Boombox comes across sounded pretty damn good once you power your guitar along with it for some stereo..
Jimmy often liked to mix both the major and minor pentatonic scales together. However, The Rover's solo is just in E Major, so just use the E Major Scale.
