Victoria's dress, veil and tiara were perfect. Most royal brides look beautiful, but Victoria was stunning because of the simplicity and classic design. The fact that she radiated love didn't hurt either!
I've been watching all three of the Swedish royal weddings and I have to say even though I don't understand the language the ceremonies are very beautiful and moving.
@@RebeccaJuntunenscootersworld Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Margrethe II of Denmark are third cousins to Elizabeth II of the UK. Harald V of Norway is a second cousin.
Jacqueline R. Of all the royal weddings you could start with, Princess Pythonella's was first choice? The Luxembourg wedding was lovely, and dignified, which was not much in evidence at the other. Rhianna and Coldplay? Really Sweden?
bedfordjumpergirl LOL, I've seen other royal weddings. My personal favorite has always been Max and Willem's, the Luxembourg weddings were wonderful though. I preferred Guillaume and Stephanie to Felix and Claire's. Pythonella... oh goodness, very funny. I enjoyed their wedding, just wish she would have covered the tattoo.
Prince Daniels Classic speech to Crown Princess Victoria Greatest of all is love translated below Quote Prince Daniel" Nine years ago I had the privilege of getting to know a young woman with a great sense of humor, a strong sense of duty and moreover very, very wise. (The Classical Moment " the greatest of all is love") We became friends. The more I got to know her, the more she became irresistible. These years with you Victoria has flown past, has been the best in my life. English part There have been times when Victorias official duties have separated us. Often taken her to faraway countries and continents. I will never forget some years ago when she left for one of her many trips, this time to China. We were going to be apart for a whole month. The night before she left she got home late after an official engagement, and she had many preparations to make before the long month of duties ahead. Instead of getting some valuable sleep she stayed up the whole night writing. In the morning after she had gone I found a box. And in that box I found 30 beautiful letters addressed to me. One for every day she would be away. This romantic gesture is typical of you Victoria. It says everything about the loving person you are. Once upon a time the young man was... perhaps not a frog, in the beginning of the fairytale... as in the story first told by the Grimm brothers. But he was certainly not a prince. The first kiss did not change that. His transformation was not possible without the support of the wise king and queen, who had ruled the kingdom for many years, and who were full of wisdom, experience and had good heart. They knew what was best and guided the couple with a gentle hand, generously sharing all their experience. ----- I feel a great gratitude to Your Majesties the King and Queen, for your wholehearted support, and for the way you have welcomed me into your family. My thoughts are naturally also to my own family. To my mother and my father, and my sister and her daughters. Mother and father, during my childhood, you have given me your unconditional love. You have helped me with your wisdom, and you have helped me to build a strong self-esteem and confidence through sound values which have guided me through life. Today, when we traveled through the streets of Stockholm, where we were met by an incredible joy and warmth. A memory we will carry with us deep in our hearts, forever. In the years that Victoria and I have had together, I have felt a great support from the people I have met. It has been very important to me. Thank you. I feel a deep respect for the tasks ahead of me. It will undoubtedly be a major challenge. I will do my utmost to live up to the expectations that will be placed on me. I will do my utmost to support my wife, Swedish Crown Princess in her important achievements. Beloved Victoria. I am so proud of what we have together. I am so happy to now be your man. I will do everything I can ever for you to remain as happy as you are today. Victoria, the greatest of all is love. I love you so. "end quote"
Thank you so much for this translation, Margareta Stammler!!! I hope that someday these royal wedding videos will have more translations, I would love to hear and understand all that was said. But no translation is needed to see how much Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel love each other deeply. And they are raising two wonderful children, I love seeing how happy all of this royal family of Sweden are, that each of the 3 marriages appears to be very happy and full of love. I am impressed, and I love watching videos showing the lives of the Swedish royal family. They deserve privacy and time to have their own private family lives, and I pray that each family will have that blessing. Thank you again, Margareta Stammler, most appreciated to be able to read Prince Daniel's wedding tribute to his wife, Crown Princess Victoria, and to be able to thank and pay tribute to the King and Queen, and also to express his love and appreciation to his parents, his sister, and his nieces. I think that Crown Princess Victoria chose very well when she chose her husband--Prince Daniel has shown himself to be a man of integrity, to be a kind and loving father, and he seems to have fit seamlessly into the Swedish Royal family and the system upon which they operate. I see a Royal family who will flourish in the coming generations, Princess Estelle is engaging, bright, and full of personality--what a joy to see this new generation of the Swedish Royal family, and a new baby coming to Prince Carl-Phillip and Princess Sofia later this year.
I wish for myself that I will ever meet a guy who loves me nearly as much as they love each other. I wish them Lifetime with Joy, Love and Happiness together forever, they are perfect for each other and now are a lucky Family with two adorable Kids
+Den Katafrakt Yes. Love her. I am so happy for her that she is finally pregnant again. Estelle is a beautifully raised, polite, well mannered future Queen. May Victoria have many.
Beautiful couple, beautiful ceremony, beautiful day!!!!! This wedding is BY FAR the most romantic, sensitive and authentic of all!! She is to my humble opinion the most refined, beautiful and classy from royals in the whole world. HONEST.
CP Victoria's wedding gown is my favorite of all time. Not only does it fit her perfectly, it's super elegant and glamorous and everything about it is just perfect. I loved that she was beaming as she walked down the aisle and kissed Prince Daniel's hand as they walked down the aisle together. She is absolutely stunning.👑❤
Quite true, the European Monarchies, don't take themselves too seriously, unlike our Royal Family, who are too stuffy!,King Carl Gustav and Queen Silvia looked overjoyed at the wedding, and so happy unlike our Own Queen who looked so miserable at her families weddings, especially Harry and Meghans!,let's Hope Prince Charles changes our monarchy so it is like this one's.
I just love to see Margareta, Crown Princess of Romania in the background, when Princess Victoria says her wedding vow. Such strong and beautiful women, suited for their roles!
Sandra Mitroi I was not aware Romania still had a monarchy. Isn't that the country that assassinated their ruler on Christmas Eve quite a few years back?
+Kathy Edens According to Wikipedia, the Romanian Royal family no longer rule but they kept their royal titles. The Royal family stopped ruling in 1947 when Romania became a Republic
Beautiful language. Princess's speech at the end of the clip inspires me the desire of wanting to learn Swedish. They are so in love and I love how she constantly rubs his hand as her way of assuring the Prince that he got her back.
Certainly the most royal of the recent royal families ,weddings. Sweden lends itself to the most romantic tour to presents their new status as heavenly in love man and wife. The superb ancient royal barge . Is unique to Sweden a land of islands. Victoria is the most regal of princess heritier. Also very beautiful ,on this day she was perfection . Their closeness with the people is very touching . One can see how they are proud of their royal family The sompteuse flower decoration the elegance of the fantastic banquet ,never seen a more splendid
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are my absolutely favourite royal couple, because they love each other so much and had such hard to fight to get married, and that's true love for me. You can always see, how they are still happy after nearly 10 years of marriage and they are a lovely Family with two adorable Kids. I'm sure, Crown Princess Victoria will be a great Queen someday. I really adore the Crown Princess Family, I wish I could meet them someday
Back in the days of the 60s the now King and Queen of Norway had to fight harder. It took the Crown Prince Harald and miss Sonja Haraldsen, "a girl of the people ", which means not royal, 9 years to fight for the love and to get married. Well now, soon 55 years later they are still married and you can see the passion is still there.
Victoria brillo como nunca en su gran día, pocas bodas reales fueron tan agradables como esta y la boda de Máxima de holanda, novias con tanto brillo y felicidad en su sonrisa...
I can tell they are in love and he is a commener but that's the greatest love if they are genuine and with OK background - if done right - it's the best kind - just like Kate and William
Such a beautiful wedding, two lovely young people clearly in love, they are a wonderful team for Sweden. How I'd love to see subtitles so I could watch this in English, it's a true treat when I find a documentary or a program on the Swedish royal family that I can see the English translation in subtitles. But I do understand that it is a lot of work... Perhaps this will be possible at some point. Thanks again for sharing this, I enjoyed watching every moment.

@@RaymondHng , THANK YOU, I so appreciate knowing this, it was so very kind and thoughtful of you to let me know this. I have become a great fan of the Swedish Royal family, and I will enjoy being able to watch any new videos I can find on them. They are so down to earth and as we watch their families grow up, it's wonderful to see. Of course, they deserve much privacy, we all do and they are no exception, I wish them well. Thank you again, RaymondHng, I look forward to watching each wedding video and being able to understand all that is spoken.

Minty Mint - The name of the song is called "You're The One." Terry Turner - The Star and Sash he wears while leaving the Storkyrkan were given to him after the Wedding Ceremony when he became Crown Prince of Sweden. When you enter the Storkyrkan there is an entrance room before you walk into the nave and that is where he was given the sash and star. :)
+Anders Lindblom "Technically speaking" He is a crown prince, although he wont be the one ruling. When Victoria ascends the throne, Prince Daniel will be King.
+Priscilla Tagle, Daniel will still the prince when CP Victoria ascends the throne. In monarchy, King is bigger or more powerful than Queen, CP Victoria inherits throne from her father. Just look at Queen Margretre ,Queen Beatrix, or Queen Elizabeth II, their husbands are still the princes even though their wives become the queens.
@Geria Wright What I meant is that in order for there to be a Victoria II of Sweden, there will have to have been a Victoria I of Sweden. Since there has never been a reigning monarch of Sweden by the name of Victoria, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden will be simply Victoria of Sweden on an international and historical context. A regnal number of "I" will only be needed to differentiate her from a future reigning Victoria II of Sweden if that were to happen. Locally within the country, she will be referred to as simply Her Majesty The Queen. Crown Princess Victoria's great-great-grandmother, Victoria, was Queen consort (not regnant) of Sweden, but queen consorts do not have regnal numbers. So we have to use the consort's name before they were married. Therefore, the consort to Crown Princess Victoria's 2X great grandfather, Gustav V of Sweden, is historically referred to as Victoria of Baden. This also differentiates from Crown Princess Victoria's 3X great grandmother, Victoria of the United Kingdom. Consorts in the UK are also historically referred to by their name before marriage to differentiate all the Catherines, Elizabeths, Marys, Annes, Carolines, etc. from each other. Catherine of Aragon, Catherine Howard, Catherine Parr, Catherine of Valois, Catherine of Braganza, Catherine Middleton Elizabeth Woodville, Elizabeth of York, Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon Anne of Bohemia, Anne Neville, Anne Boleyn, Anne of Denmark Mary of Modena, Princess Mary of Teck Princess Caroline of Brandenburg-Ansbach, Princess Caroline of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel Though most monarchs have used their first baptismal name as their regnal name, on three occasions monarchs of the United Kingdom have chosen a different name. Alexandrina Victoria took the throne under the name Victoria. Victoria's son, Prince Albert Edward, took the regnal name Edward VII, against the wish of his late mother. He chose the name Edward alone as an honored name borne by six of his predecessors, and that he did not wish to diminish the status of his father, with whom alone among royalty the name Albert should be associated. Elizabeth II's father, Albert Frederick Arthur George, assumed the throne as George VI. In Sweden, four of the seven monarchs from the House of Bernadotte chose a regnal name different from their first baptismal name. Carl Gustaf Folke Hubertus became *Carl XVI Gustaf* Oscar Fredrik Wilhelm Olaf Gustaf Adolf became *Gustaf VI Adolf* Oscar Gustaf Adolf became *Gustaf V* Oscar Fredrik became *Oscar II* Carl Ludvig Eugen became *Karl XV* Joseph François Oscar Bernadotte became *Oscar I* Jean Bernadotte became *Karl XIV Johan*
@Geria Wright When Victoria Ingrid Alice Désirée ascends the throne, she will be the fourth queen regnant of Sweden. In 1952 when Elizabeth Alexandra Mary was asked which regnal name she wanted to use, she said "Elizabeth, of course." If Charles Philip Arthur George succeeds his mother as monarch and uses his first given name as his regnal name, he will be known as _Charles III_ . However, there has been speculation that he may choose a different name, because the previous two monarchs named Charles are both associated with negative events in royal history: Charles I was beheaded in 1649, and Charles II reigned during the Great Fire of London. The name Charles III is also associated with the Jacobite pretender, Charles Edward Stuart, who claimed the throne under that name in the 18th century. The most discussed alternative regnal name has been George VII, in honour of Charles' maternal grandfather, although the Prince has denied discussing a regnal name. In East Asian monarchies, the monarch has a personal name during his life, an era name to describe the period of time of his reign, and a posthumous name after his death. The new emperor of Japan's grandfather was Hirohito. After his death, he is known as Emperor Shōwa. You'll find some informative videos at ru-vid.comvideos that diagram royal family trees of different countries.

Lovely couple! Personally, I don't like the inclusion of contemporary music in the Swedish royal weddings - it just doesn't fit somehow, IMHO. But to each their own!
Not a fan of the the Swedish monarchy? It fits perfectly with King Carl XV1 Gustaf and his reign. The theme of his monarchy is "For Sweden. With the times." He respects tradition but doesn't want Sweden trapped in the 1800's.
Im not a 100% but the song can be "Kristallen den fina" its an old Swedish folk song. Performed there, at the Royal Wedding by "Adolf fredrick's flickkör". I found this 👇. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-COlj-WDehzo.html
In traditional Swedish weddings, the father does not walk the bride down the aisle and give her to the groom. The Swedish couple walks down the aisle together. However, Crown Princess Victoria wanted the American tradition. So they settled for a compromise. Her father, The King, walked her halfway down the aisle and gave her to Daniel. Then, they both walked down the aisle together the rest of the way.
I Victoria Ingrid Alice Desiree, do take Thee Olof Daniel Westling now to my husband. To share happyness and sorrows with you and stay faithful to you till death do us part.
+Amy Mantravadi It's "Praise the Lord with drums and cymbals", which is a kind of tribute to Händel (alternative title is "Festliche Musik alla Händel").
