My wife and I rode this ride while we were visiting Branson in July 2022 . I was very apprehensive about getting on the ride but my wife wanted to ride it so I agreed and I must say It was a great ride and I might add that I am 71 years old . Old people can still have fun 😅
@@SEAWEEDER1 , Have fun on the Pattaya tower. I spent my 5 day R&R while in the military at Pattaya beach Thailand in 1970. I parasailed and done some scuba diving while there.
You also grew up during some of the coolest times especially times when kids weren't treated like such pansy asses. That's cool to hear that you did it I would love to try this ride
@@NicCageForPresident2024, Thank You, yes I grew up in the 50s & 60s and those were great times when people showed respect for each other. If you ever get the chance, try out the ride.
I've ridden Runaway Mountain Coaster twice now, and I'll say... 1: In recent years, they've added audio cues to the lift hill (maintain distance, use little-to-no brakes, listen to that nature, etc) to make it less lonely. Still, I like the comments' idea of adding decor to the hill, such as various broken cars during Halloween. 2: Although they do place emphasis on having "a brakeless run", the downhill can feel almost too fast at times; you can brake a little. Don't ride your brakes, though- that's a way to make the person behind you hate you. 3: Between the displacement from the ground you have on the later parts of the track, the tilt of the track, and how there's only a small seatbelt to keep you in, it does feel a bit dangerous to go no-brakes fast.
They have this in Virginia at a resort and it’s for the summer and I absolutely love it. It’s a nice scenic ride up with the animals, and then it’s all downhill and around and fun! Love it.
I got to Branon almost every year. This is an incredibly fun kiddie ride. Don't hit the brakes and lean forward for the fastest speeds. It is actually a beautiful scenery ride going up the mountain.
i was just thinking since this is branson they should have jason, myers, and krugger along with other horror stars jumping out at them even the scream dude
Do people not realize that the reason it takes 6 minutes to fet up is because that part is supposed to be relaxing? Like jeez, take a break and just enjoy it for a few minutes
I'm moving from Florida to Branson next month and can't wait to try this out. I've had season tickets to WDW for the past three years and yes the coasters there are pretty awesome (especially Aerosmith's Rock N Roller-coaster at Hollywood Studios), but this looks like fun, too! Branson....here I come!
I vacationed in Branson 7 years ago, really loved the area, hospitality and just general feel of the area.. esp when compared to the Midwest. How's your year been?
theres ppl think the ride is suspose to be fast, complain about ppl going slow ,have respect the ones realy appreciating ride with the beautiful scenery.
@@lucyrenaud8885 funny how one can live in a vacation area and hardly partake in the ammenities. Locals even get discounts or free. I think it’s kind of like “I can always do that tomorrow” and then never do 🤭
mark demell, I wonder if this coaster was designed for people like you. It prepares you with a gentle, scenic trip to the top and goes down at a decent speed but it doesn't look like it topped even 45 mph. I think the most it hit was around 40. It looks like something very young kids would enjoy too. However, If you ever find yourself at Universal Studios Orlando with little experience, don't let relatives/buddies pressure you into getting on the Incredible Hulk coaster. It is one of the most brutal coasters I've been on in years and I'm no stranger to those. However, you will like the Harry Potter coaster (Escape from Gringotts) as it has only one big drop but it's a gentle ride in dimly lit rooms with huge projection screens to tell its story. It's worth waiting in line for.
This coaster really isn't that bad. I hate heights and rollercoasters, but had an amazing time on this. Especially since you can control how fast you go, it's pretty fun. Even my Grandma who hates everything extreme loved it.
I took my mom for a mountain coaster ride at Deep Creek Lake, in western Maryland. There was a woman in front of us that was freaking out and had to be coaxed down the mountain, brakes on the whole way down. They let us both go again, once we finally made it down behind the poor woman who didn't seem to enjoy her ride.
These kids today have it too easy. Back in my day we didn't have no fancy coaster, hell no. We just hauled ourselves up to the nearest mountain top and jumped off the cliff. And we loved it.
Holy wowwww ,,I’ve seen alpine type slides, but I never knew a thing like this even existed, Aug 2019 or not! my mind is blown 🤯 that an engineering feat like this was dreamt up and made real,, thank you for sharing, my God hahaha made our night.
With the accidents happening recently, who would want to be on it? 😂 Seriously. Everyone acts like Branson is amazing when in reality it has so many accidents happening it's f*cking unreal. Earlier this year quite a few people died due to the duck ride sinking and you're trying to discredit why people say the park sucks? If you wanna get rear-ended by 5 cars or drown from their boat ride, be my guest. But a lot of people quit going after 4 serious ccidents happened within 2 seasons.
@@shyanmarie4405 Do you ever actually get out of your safe space? Or are you afraid to go to the grocery store for fear that you might slip on a banana peel? Common sense needs to be exercised sometime.
I was just in Branson a few days ago and rode this like 10 times. At night they have the track lit up with colored lights, was a lot of fun. The ride up is kinda long but its relaxing. I like this one better than the other one on the strip.
I'm there right now, what the *heck* Branson: The hillbilly version of Las Vegas but in the most South point of Missouri. Has a decent Rollercoaster Park called "Silver Dollar City" that is a *Six Flags* but less of a scam and more of leather working. *The Landing* is a outlet mall right on the water with multiple food places, games places, and Leasure
*MMMMMM,* I know it's just my small opinion, but I think Silver Dollar City is way more than decent with all of the details they put into the place. (also, when the park is lit up during Christmas time it is *so* heckin' pretty.)
Kamaji The Snake I mean, I live 5 minutes from Sixflags (my only knowledge from S.D.C is during summer) Sixflags has "Fright Fest" where the employees main job is to scare the jeepers out of you. I've heard of S.D.C Christmas stuff is also cool too, but i don't think they have *Spoopy* Halloween though
Intelligent Owl SDC sadly doesn't have spoopy Halloween time; it'd be sweet if they did. I've only been to Six Flags once and I'm sure that the spooks are really fun there.
Kamaji The Snake Yo, you know S.D.C is all about old stuff right? What if... I was going to say the Black Plage and Zombies but S.D.C is not as extreme as Sixflags
This is very similar to the alpine coaster at Labadee, Haiti, part of Royal Caribbean's private enclave there. Seems like the lift hill there might be a bit shorter and the ride down a bit longer, too. Highly recommended if you happen to go there on a cruise.
Luckily they do have an automatic stopping device when you get too close. I experienced that when a mom didn't want to scare her 3 year old on it, and went incredibly slow.
@@skeptical2653 in my experience they don't stop automatically. But it actually happened once that someone wasn't able to speed up again because there was a small passage going upwards where you have to have a minimum of speed. We then tried to knock the softly so they start driving again
I kept thinkin' "Where's the APEX to this thing ? Where's the APEX ? !!!! " Then, I said "What a scenic ride this is !!! But, NO WAY !!! I'd never ride it !!!" Looks scary, yet fun ! 😉
I went to Branson last week and rode this the day after Christmas, it was worth it. But the wait going up the hill is like 5 minutes and you can go about 3 times faster than that
1st, it's really scenic, kinda made me wish you could off and wander back down by the trails. also I was leaning into the turns like you do on a bike. really neat
I learned English in school for 9 years and I learned Commercial English. I can speak English quite fluently. To this guy I would only say:"WHAT? Brakes, uh!"
For the people wondering why the lift so so slow it so the cars ahead of it have time to finish the layout. The long lift allows them to stack multiple cars along with having the ability to pause the riders if people ahead are constantly braking. Honestly i think having brakes on these is stupid. You should be able to fly down this thing at full speed with no issues. Thr brakes just seem like a operational nightmare. The only reason i can think of them being their is if a deer or somthing makes it on the track.
